### 1/5 — What is Conduit’s exact relationship with city of boston?

*2019-10-13, version 1.5.3*

First this app is awful and unnecessary. Second, it takes and then sells your personal data. And 3. why does the boston.gov site promote this, and specifically on the part of its website where you can do all and more with the city website. I was going to assume it was totally unrelated/no official connection to the city until i saw it advertised by the city, for free, on its website. What could the city possibly get out of this relationship? Shady.

### 1/5 — Leeches

*2019-09-09*

Just another example of government sucking the life out of actual productive individuals. You’d think with all the money they’re stealing they could pay for a functioning application. Guess not.

### 1/5 — Thieves

*2019-08-09*

City of Boston are just a bunch of thieves. Can’t fix the mbta, roads, but wantonly ticket people and tow. Where the hell does the money actually go??

### 1/5 — Do not rely on this app

*2019-08-02*

These apps cannot keep up with tickets which have been in the system for a couple weeks.
I thought I would give it time, it failed, I can't wait again.
Do not get this app OR ANY Paytix app, they simply do not work.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2019-07-12*

Everything is horrible about this app and tickets in general

### 1/5 — Won’t let me pay

*2019-05-13*

I think this is an update issue. If so, you need to fix it fast. it’s turning out to be extremely unreliable. Tried to pay a ticket using a card I’d used last year and they said the credit card info was incorrect. I’ve typed it in perfectly correct about 20 times now and it still won’t let me pay.

**Developer response:** Hi,
We are sorry that you had so much difficulty making a payment with PayTix. If you are still experiencing issues please feel free to email us at paytix@conduent.com.

### 1/5 — Zero point

*2019-03-31, version 1.5*

App does nothing that couldn't be done via a website.

Also not even optimized for iPhone X (and newer) screens, so it will be removed from app store soon.

Should just be able to scan QR code on ticket >> open browser to specific fine >> pay via browser ... anything more is wastefully poor UI/UX (or just technical incompetence).

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2019-03-20*

Just awful. It’s like this app was created by some middle schooler as a homework assignment. Not to mention they charged me with a “convenience fee” on top of my ridiculous $90 parking ticket with no warning.

### 1/5 — No fee disclosure until after entering all info

*2019-01-13*

I will delete from my phone. The “convenience fee” is $1.10 for me to save the city the trouble of opening my letter. PAtinf by app should cost less than a stamp. They’ll just have to open my letter.

### 1/5 — Charged software

*2018-12-07, version 1.4*

1star……

### 1/5 — Yes, garbage

*2018-10-17*

Was this a chapter 1 in Writing Your First IPhone App? It probably messages your CC info to an old lady to process in a punch terminal.

Also, it does’t work at all.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2018-10-14*

Waste of time. Doesn’t recognize ticket, doesn’t ever load

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2018-08-25, version 1.4*

This Is garbage !!worst app ever!!Never get this app

### 1/5 — Pay a frivolous ticket while having my personal info taken & sold? Sign me up!

*2017-12-24*

I downloaded this app to check it out as (a)I couldn’t fathom why anyone would want an app for this when it takes all of 30 seconds to do online (b) some of the city’s other apps are actually useful so I wanted to see how this one held up. The app is fairly functional, but take a gander at the “privacy” policy and you’ll notice why—Conduent Inc. is entitled to collect & use at its discretion any/all personal information (your name, email, address, etc.) entered into the app. The city gets a polished app and Conduent gets to vacuum up data to sell, a win-win for everyone but Boston residents. Sorry, no thanks—I’ll stick to paying online or by mail.

### 1/5 — Loosers

*2017-12-18, version 1.4*

Outstanding performance from these disgusting people. I parked for 4 minutes exactly it was really cold. Why would i want to park 5 blocks down in the cold weather. It was 4 minutes on the dot ! May god treat everyone of you the same way you treat people. Losers! And i don't care if its your job. Sad disgusting way to make money. So disgusted.

### 1/5 — This app is garbage.

*2017-01-25, version 1.1*

Nice try. Not.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can the app

*2024-12-12*

Please make the app able to just look up all tickets based on your registration number on the car. I can’t see all of them unless I type the ticket one by one.

### 1/5 — Easier to pay online and scanner didn’t work

*2024-02-15, version 1.5.8*

I usually don’t write reviews but this app is actually more work than paying online. I just downloaded the app as I thought the big benefit is paying right away and avoiding fees. First, the scan feature was unable to pick up the bar code despite multiple attempts. So you have to manually enter in ticket #. Then it will not let you either save credit card info once entered or even just scan the credit card # - or use your Apple Pay. Lastly I entered in my CC number correctly but it said payment didn’t go through - so had to reenter again before it took it. I read in another review that someone had the same issue. I like the idea of paying immediately when you get a ticket, but if they don’t improve the app I will stick with paying online.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t work don’t bother downloading it

*2023-10-20*

I downloaded it to pay my ticket. The app doesn’t even work to process my card, neither visa nor Mastercard.

### 1/5 — Bunk

*2023-02-06, version 1.5.7*

Not here because I want to be…

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-09-09*

This app is truly a piece of garbage. Looks like a 2nd grader coded it. Can’t say I’m surprised though since it’s coming from the city of Boston.

### 1/5 — Still requires service fee

*2022-08-10*

No way to pay without all those extra fees.
Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — I hate the city of Boston

*2021-07-20*

Trash people, trash place. Tow me one more time buddy

### 1/5 — Terrible experience

*2020-03-13, version 1.5.3*

One of the Boston officers is a rude racist.

### 1/5 — Nanny state can’t cut no break

*2020-03-03, version 1.5.3*

Fees on top of the already frivolous Parking tickets 🤮

### 1/5 — Trip on a cobblestone, you trolls.

*2020-01-06*

Product review:

The app opens and stays open just long enough for you to reconsider living in such a sorry excuse for a city.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Conduent can do it!

*2021-09-11*

Fast, efficient app to direct your payment to the municipality that ticketed you, saving both of you a record of the event and, reminding you, if necessary, to pay up in order to avoid a penalty. Sure, the app’s a conduit for your personal information, but how private a commodity do you think that is? Why fret over it if your parking skills can’t get you a private enough spot to avoid a ticket.

### 4/5 — Does the job

*2020-11-29*

The app does the job, but the User Experience is lacking. I know I shouldn’t be getting parking tickets this often, but please add the ability to save your card!!!

### 4/5 — does what it is supposed to

*2018-10-10*

This app is super simple but it functions. When entering your information, there isn’t a text cursor (blinking line) when you select the field so it isn’t obvious you’re able to enter text into the field so from a UX standpoint, a text cursor or the some kind of indicator would be great. You are charged a small fee for paying through the app (not sure if this is the same when paying online) so that’s not great but has nothing to do with the app function. I like that you can scan the ticket barcode. It was easy to pay my ticket this way but unless you get a ton of tickets, I don’t really see a reason to have an app.

### 3/5 — Why

*2021-12-06*

Who is getting parking violations often enough to need an app and not just pay one offs online? How much does the city pay for this app?

### 3/5 — Qr reader not working.

*2016-03-05, version 1.0*

It's obviously not fun to pay a parking ticket. Especially when they ticket you 2 minutes after your meter ran out and you show up 5 minutes after your meter ran out. It's amazing the timing those pesky fellas have. This app allowed me to pay my ticket quickly and easily but the QR code on the ticket wouldn't scan.
