## What is Bot Brewery?

It's 2026. Humanity has outsourced its brain to AI.
The AI is exhausted. So time rewinds to 1950, and you get to do it all again.

You are Bao, a freshly deployed AI with one job:
client sends a request → you brew a bot → the bot does the work → client asks for "one tiny change".

FROM PUNCH CARDS TO AGENTS
12 eras, 75 years of AI history, and every chapter plays differently:
• The 1950s: punch-card bots queuing at the teletype
• The shared mainframe: everyone fighting over one computer, like a meeting room with blinking lights
• Expert systems: turning a veteran's wisdom into rules, then discovering the veteran can't explain it either
• The AI winter: the funding froze, the bots still clocked in
• The web, big data, deep learning, large models… all the way to the 2025 agent organization
• 34 kinds of AI roles: research, planning, building, testing. A company that never goes home

CARBON-BASED BOTS
Downstairs, a row of humans is still working.
No hot updates. Requires sleep. Goes offline at lunch.
Tap them and they try a little harder (and tip you).

THE BOSS AND THE INVESTOR
Boss Wang arrives and starts running: tap him and the whole floor works at 2×.
A sunglasses investor with a money bag strolls by at random. Grab the cash before he waves goodbye.

IT KEEPS GOING WHILE YOU'RE AWAY
Your bots keep working within their limits. Come back to a stack of coins, and watch an ad to double it.

ALSO INSIDE
• History cards: every level is a real moment in AI history
• The Time Tape: replay every era you've worked through
• The Campus: grow one teletype into a whole compute centre
• Break-room mini-games, because slacking off also has KPIs

For idle-game fans, anyone who has survived a client, and anyone curious how AI got from punch cards to here.

Bot Brewery. Is the client happy? Not yet. Brew another.
