I subscribed to have the bot make tee times for me. They made zero tee times and when I asked for proof they attempted to make tee times I was ignored. I don’t believe they even try to make tee times. I called multiple times without a response. I requested a refund but I was told they don’t offer a refund. What a pathetic company this is. ### 1/5 — Biggest Scam *2024-10-01, version 2.0.1* Biggest scam of a service ever. Doesn’t work. Customer support is horrible. I had better success rate booking manually, and this is even after i contacted them and they “fixed” the bot twice. Company is purely out to get your first month upgrade fee which is non refundable under any scenario. Should be a basic request but after multiple attempt nothing. I paid $10 initially and will not be getting that back but suspended the prescription. I will say they shared my email extensively which I needed to provide for the tee times site as a username. Is there a zero starting? ### 1/5 — Bot-it; don’t do it *2024-07-20, version 2.0.1* Save yourself a lot of frustration, the app sounds like a winner but you will be the loser. The booking automation does not work, I wanted it to work and worked with Maurice and Avery to get it done. Writing this review doesn’t give me any pleasure, I so wanted this to work. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2024-06-26, version 2.0.1* I recently tried using Bot-It to book a golf tee time, and the experience was extremely frustrating. Despite multiple attempts, the system consistently failed to secure a reservation. What’s worse is the complete lack of customer support. When I reached out for assistance, I was met with unresponsive and unhelpful service. It’s incredibly disappointing to see a service that promises convenience fail so miserably in both functionality and customer care. ### 1/5 — Waste of money *2024-05-31, version 2.0.1* Totally waste of money, Try to get teetime using Bot-It, no result! Not even once! I had much better outcome booking it manually. ### 1/5 — Do not recommend *2024-05-23, version 2.0.1* The process was absolutely terrible from beginning to end. It took over four months to get a working tee time Bot when in the end of the only thing I needed to do to make it work was upgrade my subscription beyond the basic one. I then bought in and subscribed to the highest level in order to not have to pay for cancellation bots for each of the courses I had a bought for, and then was never able to actually get one working so I transitioned to a competitor teetimesnipe, and canceled my subscription. But, they won’t refund me further terms of service. All in all I would never recommend the service to someone who is using it exclusively for booking teetimes. I can't speak to the other services. ### 1/5 — buyer beware *2024-05-17, version 2.0.1* I paid for a custom made bot. the bot didn't work at all, not once, not even kind of. Despite having proof that the bot didn't work, my request for a refund was denied. Why? because it costs a lot for them to run their bots! They won't refund me because it costs them a lot of money to not give provide what was paid for. Isn't promising someone something for $, taking the $, then not giving what was promised illegal?... What in the actual fcuk. Apparently I'm going to be receiving a callback from management sometime soon. Based on my own experience and now after reading various other reviews, I'm not expecting this absolute failure to be resolved, and I'm not expecting to hear back anytime soon despite the request apparently being marked as urgent. I'll update my review if I hear back. At this point tho, man, am I ever disheartened. ### 1/5 — Bot-It will charge you after you cancel *2024-04-25, version 2.0.1* I had canceled my subscription with them several months ago. After several emails asking them to stop charging me for a service I cancelled they are still charging me. I will have to change my credit card number just to avoid. I spoke with Avery on numerous occasions where she said she would call me back, but never did. They continue to charge me $10/m while they can’t get any bots to work. It doesn’t surprise me that it’s a scam business after researching the owners. Be aware! Edit: dev response to my review is silly. I paid for 3 months of service and not a single tee time was ever booked. All they do is claim “we don’t guarantee it’ll book tee times” and refuse to provide a working bot. They thrive on taking $10/m from people and providing no product in return. Don’t purchase. ### 4/5 — Customer Support *2024-04-11, version 2.0.1* One of the things that I truly appreciate about this company is their customer support. It can feel very odd sending an email and not sure when you will get a response back. My emails never go unanswered. They are very personable and work with you to get your bot where it needs it to be. I was having great consistent success with my bot for some time, but then all of a sudden it seemed to not be working. I reached out to customer support and modifications were made to get it back on track. While the modifications did not work right away, they continued to modify the bot until it was back on track. I appreciate the responsiveness and the continued effort to get my bot where it needed to be. ### 1/5 — Scam business *2024-04-06, version 2.0.1* Stay away, I tried this to make tee times at my local muni. Failed every week, twice a week 4 weeks in a row. I constantly reached out for support and while they sent me responses they never actually resolved anything. There was no clarity into why the bot would fail. This is a scam and it’s obvious why they don’t give a free trial because they know their product doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Useless — do not waste your money *2024-03-23* This app can’t book tee times, despite it saying it can. Plan purchased was suppose to be all I needed and then said premium to book Derain courses. In one year, I have booked a total of 0 tee times! Purchase with caution and don’t expect much! Highly Disappointed! ### 1/5 — BEWARE: couldn’t get it to work, never received a refund *2024-03-08, version 2.0.1* [UPDATE] If I could give this group a negative number of stars I would. They’re reply to the comment below was essentially “gosh, while you did cancel [within the cancellation window] and we never actually got a bot to run, we did write some code and so you’re not eligible for a refund.” I’ll now be thrilled to report them to my card issuer as fraudulent. DON’T GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY Far too clumsy to use — not surprising as automated connections are tough. I canceled my account 2 days after signing up, before any bot had successfully run. Their claims of refunds in that case appear to be bogus. If I get any further charges from them I will report them as fraudulent. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Avoid this company *2026-06-23, version 2.0.2* I paid for a full year of service, and it barely worked. For months, I repeatedly contacted support and was continuously told, "Don't worry, we'll fix it." Nothing was fixed. After finally giving up and requesting cancellation, I discovered that even the cancellation process doesn't work properly. The system generates errors and makes it extremely difficult to cancel the subscription. To make matters worse, when my subscription renewed, the company refused to issue a refund despite my prior requests to cancel. This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever had. Lots of promises, very little accountability, and a product that simply did not perform as advertised. ### 1/5 — Disappointed from beginning to end *2026-06-08, version 2.0.2* My experience with Bot-It has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I paid for a service that failed to function as advertised and spent weeks trying to get answers. Throughout the process, communication was poor, updates were virtually nonexistent, and I was left repeatedly wondering whether anyone was actively working on the issue. When I finally received a response, I was told there had been a technical issue and was promised a free month of service as compensation. That free month was never provided. Instead, I was left with a non-functioning service, unmet promises, and no meaningful resolution. The most concerning part of this experience was the lack of accountability. Customers should not have to continually follow up for status updates, nor should they be promised remedies that are never delivered. If a service is unavailable or broken, clear communication and prompt action should be expected. After months of frustration, I requested a refund due to the ongoing issues and lack of results. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Bot-It. The combination of unreliable service, poor communication, and unfulfilled commitments has completely eroded my trust in the company. ### 1/5 — Scam doesn’t work. *2025-07-25, version 2.0.1* BOT IT DOES NOT WORK FOR TEE TIMES! Maurice is a scammer and when the BOT doesn’t work, he tells you the lengthy terms and conditions protect them from cancelling or issuing refund. He also retains your credit card information for years. BEWARE! ### 1/5 — Scam. 1st review ever *2025-04-15, version 2.0.1* Huge scam. Doesn’t work. CC info got hacked. Billed annually even after cancelling and now they say no refunds. Cancellation bots also never work at upgraded fees. Support keeps telling me they’ll have an engineer look and see why it doesn’t work. I’ve been told that six times, but they never get back to me, and it still doesn’t work. I developed a custom bot to book tee times at a local course. The company then changed the bot and applied generic steps to the bot that had nothing to do with reserving a tee time on the site I was interested in. I have emailed the company numerous times on the errors but all I get are generic responses. I will cancel soon. Perhaps this app is useful for sites with tee times for which they have already developed bots but the “easy” custom bots you are supposed to be able to develop are non-functional because the company refuses to listen to the customer. ### 1/5 — Complete garbage *2024-10-24, version 2.0.1* The premade flows are not flexible and don’t work. I contacted support with no reply going on 72 hours. You can build something using the free version of ms power automate desktop in minutes. Save your money! *2024-01-24, version 2.0.1* Unethical business practices of getting your money and when it doesn’t work, they tell you there are no refunds!! ### 5/5 — Bot-It FTW! *2024-01-09, version 2.0.1* Reading some of these 1 star reviews makes me wonder, because I’ve been using this service since before they integrated onto the App Store and have had no issues securing reservations (I play at public courses that might be considered hard to book like Los Verdes, Rancho Park, Rio Hondo GC, etc.) in the Los Angeles area. A big S/O to Maurice, Joel, and the Bot-it team for always keeping my golf schedule covered! I suppose any constructive feedback would be that since courses book through different website platforms, I’m sure the efficacy of the bots might vary for others. Any ideas on how to streamline this process across the board? In the meantime, keep innovating!
