## What is Botana AI?

Botana AI helps arable farmers in Italy, France, and the wider Mediterranean decide what to plant each season. Instead of guessing which crop fits your soil, climate, and budget, you get a ranked list tailored to your specific fields.

  • FIELD MAPPING — Draw your field on a satellite map. Botana AI calculates area, pulls local soil and climate data, and saves it to your farm profile

  • SOIL TEST INPUT — Enter your soil analysis results manually, or snap a photo of the PDF and let the app extract the numbers. No lab? Use Lite Mode to identify indicator plants with the camera and estimate your soil quality for free

  • CROP RECOMMENDATIONS — Move the risk, profit, and sustainability sliders to reflect your goals. The app ranks every seasonally valid crop by expected yield, profit, and rotation health. Each recommendation explains why it scored where it did

  • WEATHER ALERTS — Smart notifications for frost, heat stress, heavy rain, and pest pressure on your specific fields. Advice is local, short, and actionable

  • MEDITERRANEAN-FIRST — Built for what Mediterranean farming actually needs: wheat, tomatoes, olive, legumes, forage, fruit trees, and more. Works in English, Italian, and French

Botana AI combines decades of agronomic research (FAO-56, Arvalis, Terres Inovia) with a clean, fast mobile experience designed for farmers, not for office computers.

Privacy first: your field data stays on your farm profile. Photos for plant identification are sent to Pl@ntNet only at the moment you tap the shutter, and are not retained by Botana AI.

Every number is now yours to set: open "My prices and costs" in your farm profile to enter what you really pay and earn, add your workers and machines, and edit any cost line directly on the recommendation, tree planting costs included. Choose hand or machine harvest per crop. Plus a combined Autumn/Winter season, clearer field alerts, an in-app reminder when a new version is out, and many fixes from your reports.
