## What is Botanicaly?

Botanicaly is the houseplant app that thinks and plans for you.

Point your camera at a plant wherever you find it to identify it, explore likely causes of a problem, check how it fits your home, or run a Plant Check on one you own. Plant Check combines a fresh photo with that plant’s setup and recent care, then recommends one practical next action and explains why. Nothing changes unless you tap “I’ll do this”. When it is time to follow up, record Better, Same or Worse.

ONE CAMERA. FOUR WAYS TO HELP.
• Plant ID — identify houseplants in seconds with free daily scans.
• Home fit — identify a plant anywhere and see whether it suits your home, pets and experience.
• Likely causes from photos — photograph yellow leaves, pests or damage and see likely causes with a practical next step.
• Plant Check — combine a fresh photo with the plant’s real setup and care history, choose one next action, then follow up with Better, Same or Worse.

AI WITH REAL CONTEXT
For a plant you own, Botanicaly’s AI reads that plant’s real story — its pot, measured light, watering history and what you tried last time — so likely causes and advice fit your plant, not a generic one. Plant Check gives one clear next action, then follows up with Better, Same or Worse. You decide what gets saved.

CARE THAT SHOWS ITS WORK
See the weather, season, pot and light behind each recommendation. Botanicaly makes its reasoning visible, so you can understand the advice rather than trust a black box. When it is not sure, it says so — it asks you to check the soil before it ever tells you to water, and gentle treatments always come before chemicals.

MORE THAN A PLANT SCANNER
• AI-powered care profiles: when an identified plant is missing, Botanicaly creates and saves a careful profile on demand
• Smart reminders for watering, feeding, misting, pruning and repotting
• Light Meter to find the right place for each plant
• AI Plant Chat for follow-up questions
• Pet-safety guidance based on ASPCA and botanical reference data
• Growth photos, care journal and plant history
• Care Reports and sitter guides
• Your plant collection in My Jungle

FREE TO START
Identifying plants is free: 5 identifications a day. The free plan holds 5 plants in My Jungle, with their care calendar and the JungleBook. Botanicaly Pro makes room for more plants and more identifications a day. It also unlocks likely causes from photos, Plant Check, Chat, Light Meter, weather-tuned care, Care Reports, sitter guides and extra photo storage. See the App Store or Google Play for current pricing, trial availability, and terms.

### 1.18.0 — 2026-08-04

Scan a plant in the shop and Shop Scan now names the room at home whose measured light actually matches it, with the reading and how old it is, so you can tell before you buy whether you have a spot for it. Botanicaly opens on a new leafy screen, a new welcome greets you when you sign in, the wording in all 19 languages sounds more like a person, and text no longer clips in the longest ones.

### 1.17.0 — 2026-08-01

Botanicaly now thinks with your plant's whole story: the Plant Doctor reads its pot, light, watering history and what you tried before, admits when it isn't sure, and never reaches for harsh chemicals first. Watering respects winter dormancy, weather tips tell the truth in the rain, and Mr. Kitty lends a paw on five new screens. Plus faster photo analysis, clearer error messages, and polish in all 19 languages.
