I’d never heard of them before, being a Mac girl. They are so creative with their characters, organic imagery, and music. I did need help but didn’t mind going back through. It would have been helpful to have a map, which I think the Steam version had. The last chapter is quite the labyrinth. And somewhere to get clues or a nudge, which Somorost 3 has, but wasn’t clear what you are meant to do. (The eye puzzle opens the clue book). ### 5/5 — 最高 *2023-09-28* もう結構昔から好きでpcでもiOSでもどっちでもやっててまたやり返してるけど本当に面白い。amanita designの中では音楽もデザインも雰囲気もこれが一番好き。 ポイント&クリックのゲームはやっぱりpcでやるよりもタブレットでやるのが一番ですね、マウスよりも実際に指でタップ出来る方が面白くて快適だし、難易度も少し下がります。 何かタップで調べた時の動きとか効果音も気持ちよくてストーリー進行に関係ない寄り道部分を調べるのがとても楽しい。 ムシ達もとてもユニークで可愛らしいです。 子供向けに見えるけどセンスが尖ってて大人もがっつりこの世界観とユーモアに浸れるゲーム。そんな所が大好き ### 4/5 — Really nice but of course… a bug *2023-04-03, version 1.1.23* Very nice and interesting game. Ended up finishing it. but there is a bug on part nine. I was playing the game for the second time when I noticed it. In part nine you are supposed to collect the five light sources to get to the spider right? Well when I played I could just go down into the giant mouth without all the light sources! I did get a nightmare about the parasites.but then I played it when I was a little bit older with my babysitter and we finally beat the game! We did get a little help from YouTube.but just saying this is my favorite game! But level 9 might scare some kids.I love botanicula!!! At the time of writing this review (September 2025) the game does not work at all on the current ipad ios version. At first it just froze regularly - easy fixed by closing and reopening the app. But then I reached chapter five and hit a game breaking glitch. The bug meant to be carrying nuts you need to exchange for the bird in the oven just stopped appearing. Because they didn’t include any save options I can either start all over or give up because I can’t progress. So I’m just endlessly stuck one bird short in the weird nut people village. Reloading or changing scenes does nothing It really annoys me when I pay for games and the developers stop updating it. I want my money back or a free pc version so I can make back ups - there was no warning I was only renting the game for a couple of years instead of outright owning it for life. ### 1/5 — Bug in the middle *2018-06-13, version 1.1.3* The game has a bug in the elements chapter and an inventory item is gone (sun element). One off the this things was when I reached level six. When I started talking to lady that lost children teleported to their mother without me finding them, and my characters duplicated. While first five plants went up to level seven the second part went to find the children that were already found. This bug was stuck like this before I resumed the game.
