Instead of calling 9-1-1, I emphasize (which is still always recommended.) I was immediately connected with a dispatcher who spoke both English and Spanish, the app used my location to direct first responders directly to my GPS coordinates. Officers responded within 3 minutes, I am not even joking, two patrol units Policía Municipal (4 officers) showed up, one officer who spoke English and Spanish communicated with the other patrol units after taking my statement and while one officer stayed to take my statement the other two officers began investigating the potential area of distress. (Keep in mind this was a 10 minute interaction so far) The officers who took my statement then left to investigate further. I heard a siren and an air horn and assumed it was for me to come outside, as I opened my door I saw a blockade of 2 marked patrol cars, one unmarked vehicle and guardia nacional, stopping and questioning potential witnesses and suspects. I am very impressed with the response from both the dispatcher’s and law enforcement.
