### 4/5 — Great game even if you’re not a baseball fan!

*2022-02-08*

If you’re a fan of this board game you really enjoy this app it captures all of the fun in a convenient on the go version. To the developers, it would be nice if there was an easy way to pull up the contact sheet while in game for reference.

### 4/5 — Great but no expansions

*2021-05-10*

I just got this game the day before yesterday, and I love it. I’ve played countless games, and this game is so good that it’s difficult to put my iPad down. I would have given the app five stars but for a couple things. Firstly, expansions. I have the base game AND the big league support expansion. This game doesn’t have any expansions. Secondly, there’s no option to play a “full game” so to speak. In every game, one player has to be the batter and one player has to be the pitcher. I usually play full innings, not just the bottom. It helps that I have an expansion.

PLEASE FIX BOTH, BUT ESPECIALLY THE EXPANSIONS.

### 4/5 — Adorable!

*2020-09-13*

Clever and fun little strategy game. Cute graphics, sounds, and songs. Well worth $0.99.

### 4/5 — Fun but

*2019-10-03*

I think an equal strike six should at least be a contact hit. The campaign is very defense favored as far as what you can hit. So basically if they roll a s 6 it only matters if you have two strikes otherwise just take the strike and don't bother rolling. Other than that pretty fun, some more players with different stats and traits would be fun.

### 3/5 — Broken with no support

*2018-06-01*

A big part of this game is being the first to roll a five or six. However, when you roll a five or six after someone’s made contact, the game doesn’t register it. Then you lose. Rinse, repeat.

I took video of the problem, sent it to tech support, never even got so much as a response acknowledging they were looking into it.

Aside from being broken at one of the game’s core mechanisms, it’s a really well done app. If they fix this issue, it’s an easy 5-stars. Until they do, it’s basically unplayable.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for playing! When you roll a 5 or 6 during the run phase, you have to tap "safe" to register it, it is not automatic. This is to mimic the original tabletop mechanic where the players needed to yell "SAFE!" after being the first to roll a 5 or 6. If you think a bug might be happening, feel free to contact us at support@handelabra.com with more info so we can take a look. Have fun!

### 3/5 — Dice rolls

*2018-03-28*

Please make them random. I almost always lose due to dice rolls alone. I’m definitely not griping. Im the second person to say this on here. Fix and I will give 5 stars right away!

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for playing! The dice are rolled using a standard uniform random number generator. It's completely fair and the exact same system is used for human and CPU players. The key to mitigating unlucky rolls is to use your player abilities. Have fun!

### 4/5 — Game is fun but Computer cheats...

*2018-03-13*

The distribution of “random” die rolls just seems so skewed it’s not believable. Over a large sample, the computer always seems to roll low on balls and high on strikes. Also, I had 19 contact runners thrown out in a row... sheesh

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for playing! The CPU player does not cheat; it is given no more information about the game than you are. The dice are rolled using a standard uniform random number generator. It's completely fair and the exact same system is used for human and CPU players. The key to mitigating unlucky rolls is to use your player abilities. Also, it sounds like perhaps you're not pressing the OUT or SAFE buttons during contact. Make sure to do that when you roll a 5 or 6! Have fun!

### 4/5 — Anybody home?

*2017-12-22*

The game plays fine. No issues. Can’t find a single online player to play against...

### 4/5 — Professional game, fun and worth the price

*2017-10-21*

I want to amend my original review which is below. Playing campaign mode is so different and so much more fun than the solo games against the AI. It’s opened up a whole new world for me and I cannot get enough.

(Original review) It’s a fun game, certainly original and so amazingly well done but (and this is a big but) the dice rolls feel far from random. In fact, most times I can guess what the roll is going to be depending on each situation. Not saying the computer is cheating, but after a dozen games there is definitely a pattern.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for playing! The dice are rolled using a standard uniform random number generator. It's completely fair and the exact same system is used for human and CPU players. The key to mitigating unlucky rolls is to use your player abilities. Have fun!

### 4/5 — Really fun!

*2017-08-28, version 1.0.2*

I love the music and the "paper" scorecard at the end of the game. I would love a solo mode like the physical games has. Or a way to play a series under different starting conditions.

Hopefully, the expansions will be added in the future.

### 1/5 — Random Number Generation favors CPU

*2021-01-20*

When playing manager mode, the CPU rolls S-6 (which is an automatic strike) 92% of the time. This is statically impossible. With two 6 sided dice to roll S-6 seven times in a row. Each time the batter guesses pitches and gains bonus effects. The game throws S-6 or B-6 (automatic Ball) therefore negating you bonus effects. It’s infuriating when playing against the computer. If you do get the chance to “crush it” the CPU rolls a 6 to steal your home run. I love the board game but the computer version is definitely skewed against the player.

### 1/5 — Favored too cpu

*2021-01-19*

Imagine this. Your playing this game. Guess each pitch right. Get a contact swing. But they get a 5 or 6 first roll... now imagine that happening 7 times in a row. Dont waste your time in a rigged game. Play something that is actually rewarding

### 1/5 — Bleh!

*2019-10-05, version 1.2.2*

If it was free, it would be okay, but it isn’t worth $’s.

### 1/5 — Potential for fun, rigged dice.

*2018-06-25*

I’ve played about 20 of games of this game, and while the concept and game mechanics are great, I must be either the unluckiest guy ever, or the dice are very rigged. About 1/5 of my hits land me on base- statistically they should be 50%. When I predict the pitch it’s always a ball, when I don’t it’s a strike that gets modified to a 6. I’ll reroll to match or beat a 3 three times and fail often.

It’s just frustrating to make all the right in game decisions and lose repetitively to being incredibly “unlucky”. I’m sorry I purchased this game and would not recommend it until we get a dice coding fix.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for playing! The dice are rolled using a standard uniform random number generator. It's the exact same system is used for human and CPU players. ### 1/5 — The AI CHEATS

*2018-02-10*

So not fun. Watch as it “guesses” your pitch 15 times in a row and rolls a 1 every single time it needs to. Lame.

Have fun!

### 1/5 — A Tedious Waste of Time and Money

*2017-12-09*

Do you enjoy watching paint dry? This game may be too spicy for you. What a truly boring endeavor. Since it somehow costs $5, I have really tried to put extra effort into enjoying this game, but I simply can’t. It’s the opposite of fun. The game play is excruciatingly slow. If you actually manage to put a ball in play, then you seem to have to keep rolling until you get thrown out. Nothing about this game is well done. There are blobs that are meant to be players. I assume that’s a reference to whatever horrible board game this is based on. I want my money back. I promise to spend it on something more exciting, like watching grass grow or perhaps a glacier race.

### 2/5 — Waste of money

*2018-12-06*

Decent gameplay but never once been able to find an online match. Plus a story mode of only 6 games? Regret buying for sure

### 2/5 — Server Error and 2p Option

*2017-11-02*

This COULD be a great 2p game if it wasn't for the server error I keep seeing. And, no one seems interested in 2p games as I can never find an opponent.

I bet if they fixed the 2p option, this game would take off!!!

### 3/5 — Well Made but Boring

*2020-05-21*

This game is better than most dice games. The mechanisms are quite deep and bad rolls are seemingly mitigated through use of various powers and abilities. Your opponent has an arsenal of abilities of abilities as well. All these abilities give the illusion of luck mitigation but actually creates an overly complex interaction that is actually worse than the simple roll of a dice. Also, there is a bias of RNG towards your AI opponent.

### 3/5 — Good game...but results of a hit are no better than a coin toss.

*2020-04-24*

Love the campaign mode of this game. Trying to strategically wear down the pitcher to increase your odds of getting a hit or a walk is a blast. However, once you get a hit, it’s basically just a toss of a coin as to whether or not you’re safe. I’m sure it’s random, but the computer sometimes goes on a tear and throws you out numerous times in a row (I counted it to 14 once). This is just annoying...it seems better to get a walk than to actually hit the ball.

Одна из лучших игр про бейсбол

### 5/5 — good game but....

*2020-07-29*

be having fun playing the game However, it is difficult to understand the contents because there is no Korean translation. Please translate Korean.

### 5/5 — The Best

*2020-03-15*

This is probably the best sports game app. If you own the board game you’ll love this one. Works really well. The “Bottom of the 9th” theme song on the app alone is worth the price of admission. Really well done! Thanks for developing this app. Managers Challange is hard to beat! Love the challenge.

### 5/5 — Grand Slam Fun!

*2018-05-20*

I heard about the actual table top version of this game and how fun it is so when I saw this version on the App Store it was a no brainer to download. You guys have hit a grand slam with this game!!! Well done!

### 5/5 — App doe not conform to game rules.

*2018-03-27*

App does not resolve die rolls during Run phase. The organ music is annoying and cannot be separated from the other audio. Intermittently will not allow submitting line up.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for playing! The game implements the rules of the tabletop game exactly. Please get in touch with us via our website if you're having problems: http://handelabra.com/contact

### 5/5 — Addicting Fun

*2017-12-28*

This is quite addictive, as the games can be short. My only complaint is that you soon start longing for new players or even a full 9 inning game. I hope that the developers soon incorporate expansion packs!

### 5/5 — Highly recommended

*2017-10-07, version 1.1*

This is a good game and very addictive. You don’t need to know much about the rules of baseball but it helps. If not, there’s a very good tutorial which I played through twice to fully understand it. The graphics, presentation and music are very good. I would like to repeat an earlier reviewer to say that it would be great if there was an option to play an entire game with the full 9 innings, and even better to play a season in a league.

### 5/5 — Great implementation!

*2017-09-05, version 1.0.3*

Great implementation of the board game! Love playing this! And the online multiplayer works really well!

### 5/5 — Fantastic - Highly Addictive

*2017-09-04, version 1.0.2*

Brilliant strategical game, with a high element of luck due to the dice rolls.

Would love to play a complete set of innings with the same mechanics, in fact the potential to expand to a series is of games in a tournament or career mode is huge.

I've been playing on iPad, a native version at some point would be appreciated although it plays and looks great anyways.

### 5/5 — Excellent portage du jeux IRL

*2017-08-23*

Allez y les yeux fermés, vivement les add on !
