### 3/5 — It’s Ho Hum or possibly Meh

*2025-09-11*

The app is not intuitive, and even though I love the Boulder 866 itself, the app is really not very good. Roon is superior for controlling the Boulder amp and has a sleek intuitive interface which stays connected. This boulder controller disconnects frequently and is very difficult to use on a daily basis. I give boulder credit for making it but most other companies have superior controller products for their own gear. The best use of the app is to upload your own images for screen icons, a rather nice feature.
