### 3/5 — Consistency

*2026-08-21, version 1.26.0*

Although I have not mastered all of the capabilities of this App, I know enough about the basics to say with confidence that you get out what you put in.

### 4/5 — Kind developer, good app, but requires $18 :(

*2026-08-13, version 1.25.10*

EDIT: the developer has responded and appears to be a kind person. I did not expect a personal response let alone the kind words and honesty. I am updating my rating to 4/5 instead of 1/5.

I did not know the developer originally paid out of pocket. That is actually really cool of them.

My only complaint now is not being able to even put one custom tag or have the option to have a version that shows ads and maybe a couple of features. However, it is clear to me now that it likely is not that simple.

The app still is great. It really is. And the developer appears kind. Thoughtful.

I am leaving my original review below for context but I wanted to update the rating, title, and review itself since the developer responded in a kind, personal, no BS way.

——————————-
Original review before response and context given by the developer:

6 years ago, when i got diagnosed with Crohn’s disease on my 20th birthday, this is the app i was recommended.

It was so helpful. And EVERYTHING was free.

Now, 6 years later, you have to pay $18/yr to even place helpful description tags to track your patterns.

18$ isn’t insane, no. But to make an app that has not appeared even aesthetically to have changed in 6 YEARS and start charging CHRONICALLY ILL PEOPLE $18/YR JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN is GROSS. It is GREEDY.

Most of us suffer almost on a daily basis. Many of us cannot afford the specialized medications let alone health insurance. Many of us will have to have surgical intervention, potential removal of organs, and possibly permanent ostomies placed. A removal of your butt hole because it is not longer functional and more of a problem at that point. I know because i am an operational room nurse . I’ve seen these surgeries.

To ask sick people. To ask sick people who already suffer constantly who just want an easier way to track their body is so sick. I’m literally crying. I hate this world so much. I hate this greed.

### 3/5 — Graphs

*2026-07-27, version 1.25.8*

Graphs

The app is good but the line graph is lacking. It only shows days with bowel movements and does not show days with no movements. This results in a straight line graph which is of no help

### 5/5 — Simple but effective

*2026-07-04, version 1.25.6*

Very simple and elegant app that has all the basics and a reasonable price for the premium level. So much better than the competitors that pile on useless “features “ and then charge a ridiculous cost.

### 5/5 — Great as food diary

*2026-06-29, version 1.25.6*

Been using this app for a few years now mainly as a food log and it’s just what I need. Very easy to use and can customize new fields to my liking. Overall, great app!

### 4/5 — Downloaded for acid reflux

*2026-06-29, version 1.25.6*

Using this to track my headaches, reflux, supragastric belches and lightheadedness. It’s also really good as a food diary. Heads up to new users, you get one free custom section so use text. Overall pretty good and easy to use. I like that it has timestamps

### 5/5 — Invaluable

*2026-06-24, version 1.25.6*

Given my medication regime - I’m prone to severe constipation and I refuse to ever use laxatives. Now I have this app that keeps track of my movements so I can take something natural to keep me moving if it’s been too long. Excellent.

### 4/5 — Good for tracking all aspects

*2026-06-22, version 1.25.6*

Clean simple interface and customisable, worth the money.

### 5/5 — Helps with my colitis

*2026-06-22, version 1.25.6*

Love the app! I have colitis and it helps me track my flares and trigger foods. Wish it had a little more nuance in the stool scale tho.

### 5/5 — IBS/C

*2026-06-17, version 1.25.6*

This app is really helpful for my motility issues. I can track the information and have a data chart ready to share with my doc♥️

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-06-15, version 1.25.6*

I love this app helps so much with ibs

### 5/5 — Premium is worth it

*2026-05-31, version 1.25.6*

I’ve been using this app for 4 years. It’s super easy to use, it’s convenient to scroll through BM history, and I absolutely love having the 7-day average for telling my GI at appointments.

### 5/5 — Simple & Effective

*2026-05-26, version 1.25.6*

Love this App - it’s simple to use helps me keep track of my health in a easy to use , visual app would definitely recommend

### 5/5 — Free version is good too

*2026-05-25, version 1.25.6*

I love this app, very useful and intuitive.

### 4/5 — Good

*2026-05-19, version 1.25.6*

I only use the free version just to monitor my IBS but a very good little app

### 5/5 — Perfect app

*2026-05-16, version 1.25.6*

It’s so simple and easy to use. I have used the customisation but I can see how I might pay to customise it more and use this app in place of many others. If you want easy, intuitive and for it to do more than you hoped, this app would be it!

### 5/5 — The best!

*2026-05-15, version 1.25.6*

I’ve been using for years. My favorite app ever!

### 5/5 — Helpful tool

*2026-05-09, version 1.25.6*

This app is a helpful tool. I am sure it would be even more helpful if I paid for premium, however out of all the free IBS tracker apps this one seems the best. I love how you can also rate your stress since stress affects your stomach as well as what you are eating and how you feel. I wish they had a few more symptoms listed or a note area for the free customers but I get it - if I want that do can pay for it. All and all I would highly recommend.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth the price

*2026-06-20, version 1.25.6*

Careful with the subscription service . Three years ago this would have been a one time reasonable fee. Realized this was a subscription way too late

### 1/5 — Promises. Promises

*2026-06-15, version 1.25.6*

Nothing ever changes. Ever. No progress. No updates. Just take my money and do nothing to earn it.

I have asked repeatedly for the ability to scroll back on a graph instead of choosing 180 days and hoping to be able to click on a certain day. I have been told they will be implementing this in an update. I have been told that over and over for months. It is never implemented.

Seeing the entire graph at once I basically useless. Contacting the developer is also, it seems, basically useless. They promise and do not deliver.

A thirty, ninety and 180-day graph is nice, but essentially useless.

IMPLEMENT SCROLLING!!! It cannot be all that hard.

It might be time to switch to a different app. I am tired of the lack of response.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2026-03-22, version 1.25.5*

Shuts down for no reason when in the middle of adding data

### 1/5 — Wont sync

*2026-01-27, version 1.25.3*

Wont sync between ipad and iphone. Ill update this review when they fix it.

### 1/5 — Too pretty to be useful

*2026-01-26, version 1.25.3*

The graphs/ data is simplified so far (e.g. not even axis labels on compound views) that it’s impossible to glean any insights from the data.

### 1/5 — Promises. Promises

### 1/5 — Not worth the money

*2025-05-18, version 1.24.10*

All this app does is track in a fancy way. You can do the same thing in any app or the apple notes. Not worth paying any money for

### 1/5 — New phone no data

*2024-10-21, version 1.24.3*

I got a new phone. Wanted to track data. Everything should be connected to your apple account, right? lol, nope. I see no point in keeping this if its usefulness is illusory at best. Data should be easily transferable but I guess they wanted to paywall that.

### 1/5 — Very basic non specific and not for IBS

*2024-09-19, version 1.24.3*

You’d be better off with a pen and paper. A lot of the labels are inappropriate for IBS such as are you happy, sad etc. and you can’t track anything throughout the day. If you’re not good in the morning but ok at night it tells you to put a neutral feeling for the day. Nothing for how your digestive tract etc is doing.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Perfect App for Funky Guts

*2026-08-21, version 1.26.0*

Have used this app for years, through I had bad IBS then GICovid.
Easy customization and export options—other apps should take note.
A responsive dev keeps it fresh — with no ads, nags, or sale of your app data.
Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Simple n efficient

*2026-07-30, version 1.25.8*

I mostly use this to track my erratic bowels which are, well, erratic. There is no pattern. Disautonomia is my burden. When you have no control, tracking gives me a semblance of control. I’ve been using this app for a year or so & will continue using it & resubscribe.

### 5/5 — Easy to actually use

*2026-07-27, version 1.25.8*

I’ve been trying to comply with a tracking app for years. Finally something low fiction enough to use every day

### 5/5 — Helpful

*2026-07-26, version 1.25.8*

Helpful keeping track of moods, eating, and bowel movements.

### 5/5 — Very GOOD App!!

*2026-07-21, version 1.25.8*

I can’t believe I haven’t done a review on this app. It’s amazing. I’ve been using this app since 2023 to help me figure out my GI issues and it’s been real helpful to keep track of my journey and to look back historically. It’s easy to use and pretty straightforward. Will be getting the premium version.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-07-19, version 1.25.8*

Simple but well designed and easy to navigate. Also able to customize a few things on the free version.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-07-18, version 1.25.8*

I’m documenting symptoms for gastroenteritis and this makes it much easier! I especially appreciate how it syncs with other apps I already use for water intake, etc.

### 5/5 — Bowelle has really helped me track my skin condition and it’s links to my diet

*2026-07-17, version 1.25.8*

Having the notepad is really useful to capture thoughts or missed information

### 5/5 — Good app!

*2026-07-12, version 1.25.6*

This app has helped me a ton as I recover from PI-IBS! The interface is easy to use and I like that you can control how to input data, like on a scale, text, or tags. It’s helped me mentally to feel more organized and less stressed

### 5/5 — Simple way to track

*2026-07-11, version 1.25.6*

I love the ease of logging the basics so I can look at trends over time with my dr.
