## What is Bowldyna Studio?

Bowling, from feel to physics.

Bowldyna Studio measures your throws from video and puts those numbers straight into a physics simulation — what actually happened, and what would happen if you changed something.

Record a throw and the app measures ball speed, rev rate, axis rotation and the path down the lane. Once enough throws are in, it estimates the oil on that lane and proposes, for each throw, where to stand and where to aim.

"Why did that miss the pocket?"
"Why does the same line hook differently from one game to the next?"
"How much does rev rate — or the oil pattern — really change the path?"

Bowldyna Studio turns differences you can only feel into a path, a number, and a mechanism you can look at.

THROW ANALYSIS

- Analyze a recorded video, or run the camera live
- Automatic ball speed, rev rate, axis rotation, axis tilt, release board and launch angle
- Breakpoint, pocket position, entry angle, pins contacted and pins fallen
- Calibration is four points traced onto the lane edges
- A clean lane picture is built automatically, with people and the ball averaged out, so the points land on the lane edge
- Within a session, the next recording starts from the four points you already set
- One visit is one session: throws accumulate instead of scattering
- Export the analysis as CSV
- Everything runs on the device. No video is uploaded anywhere

LANE OIL ESTIMATE (Pro)

- Works out where the oil was depleted and where it was carried down, from your own throws
- Heatmap of the estimated oil change
- The gap between simulation and measurement, before and after the estimated oil is applied, in boards
- The confidence of the estimate, and how much of the lane it accounted for
- After an estimate, every throw gets a strike course drawn over its measured path — changing only where you stand and where you aim
- Hand the measured lane straight to the simulator

FREE

Throw analysis from recorded video and from the camera, the core throw settings, path simulation, the house and flat lane presets, and the result readouts. Strike / spare route search (Beta) is free for now as well.

BOWLDYNA PRO

A single in-app purchase permanently unlocks the lane oil estimate, detailed ball specifications, PAP and layout, custom lanes, breakdown and carrydown, pin physics, 3D View (Beta) and the other advanced controls.

There is no subscription. The current version shows no ads.

RECORDING TIPS

Put the phone on a tripod or something else that will not move, and frame the whole lane from the foul line to the pins. 60 fps is recommended; 30 fps costs rotation accuracy. A ball with visible patterns or logos measures far better than a plain dark one.

PLEASE NOTE

Bowldyna Studio does not guarantee any particular result or any improvement in your score. Measurements and estimates alike carry error from the lane surface, from oil that keeps changing, from the condition of the ball, from your release, and from how the video was shot.

The confidence shown by the strike / spare route search describes how stable a line is inside the current simulation model. It is not a promise that the line will strike on a real lane.

Treat what this app measures and simulates as a way to study your throws and understand the physics of bowling.
