Such as changing channels and accessing the comments. It also closes for no reason. I also have the app on my Roku and have the same issues as on my iPad but worse. Watching the WSOB last night and the app closed after every game and sometimes during the match. I paid for the subscription and it’s very frustrating that I can only watch from a browser. Please update asap! ### 1/5 — Oops! It appears the selected channel is not available anymore… *2025-01-02, version 2.1.0* This is the message I received when selecting links to say recent finals, PWBA, or any other thing there. I just spent 120 Dollars for the annual subscription and nothing is working. Frequently the app won't load on my iPad, or won't authenticate me, or sits there with a completely blank screen. I write this review having deleted and reloaded the app yet again, hoping for the best I often have to login using a browser but even that doesn't always work. I tried that before deleting the app and the screen is frozen. I am logged in, I can get to the setting page and my subscription is valid but all I am offered is free video, which I can generally find on YouTube. The screen is limited to other subscription offers. The bowl TV team needs to get these issues fixed and communicate with subscribers about what is going on and if there are any workarounds or I think they will find revenue declining rapidly. I am a super fan and if you can't keep people like me who can you keep? 11/22/23 update: Tried again before my subscription ended and it's even worse than before. How many times should I need to login in, exactly? You have to shut down the app and try again with luck to get it to work. ### 1/5 — Awful *2025-07-19, version 2.2.2* I constantly have to login and out, I constantly have to re-download the app. It fails to load. ### 1/5 — Screen locks during playback *2025-04-12, version 2.2.1* Was going to submit to developer support but it requires that you fill out a form with an annoyingly unnecessary amount of information or you can’t report a problem with the app. So here is the problem: While watching a video on iPhone, the screen will lock due to inactivity at whatever you have as the Lock Screen time. The solution is to turn the screen lock off completely. This has lead to me pocket dialing my pro shop five times in a row, and clocking in and out of work twenty or thirty times within an hour. I finally turned it back on, and now I have to tap my screen repeatedly or the video is interrupted. If that wasn’t bad enough, sometimes it won’t keep your spot in the video and you have to find out where in the 5 hr stream you were watching before the screen locked. Not so good. It worked fine the other day. What did you do? ### 2/5 — Atrocious *2026-03-03, version 2.2.2* The app has potential, but in its current state it feels unstable, particularly as a web clip. The migration to the BowlTV web experience is inconsistent, and the app frequently freezes on a white screen or becomes unresponsive. If the goal is to simplify access to BowlTV, the execution isn’t there yet. Hopefully future updates address the reliability issues, because right now it does not deliver a smoother viewing experience. ### 2/5 — Chromecast can’t connect *2025-01-23, version 2.2.0* I am unable to connect to Chromecast or even go full screen on a device. Just a bad product when you’re paying $16 a month. Fix the Chromecast and full screen option as it can be difficult to even see what’s happening in the match without them. ### 2/5 — Fire Your Tech Manager *2024-04-26, version 2.1.0* Not everyone can join the broadcast on time and there is no way to rewind and start from the beginning. That seems to be a “no-brainer” to have as an option. Also, why does it take HOURS to post replays? They’re never up in time to watch before the next round and the no rewind makes it impossible to get caught up. And don’t get me started on “Where the Heck is Flanagan?” rant! I’m sure Chase is a nice guy but he’s in over his head. Tom is great but he needs to work on his “smile” so he stops looking like a stalker. It’s like he’s got a hanger stuck in his mouth. Again, I really like Tom. He adds a LOT! And finally we Boomers need the App available on ROKU too Sorry for the long rant. Fix these issues and I’ll change my rating to a 5. ### 2/5 — Great, when it works *2023-05-03, version 1.0.3* Paying $15 a month for an app that won’t even load up. When (and if) it dies it’s fine but I mean what am I even paying for? ### 2/5 — Where are the channels *2023-02-11, version 1.0.1* App lets me log in fine but the only channels that show are the Home channel and USBC Convention. I’m never able to see any other channel when they’re live, or even the Archived Events and such.
