## What is Box Control?

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
This App needs specific Hardware.

Box Control was developed for Pro·ject Audio Systems and will revolutionise the way of controlling your Box Design devices: play music from media servers, internet radio, connected USB storage and iPods on your Stream Box DSnet by the touch of a finger. Together with a Remote Box S you are be able to control amplifiers and other analogue sources using infrared – from volume settings on your amplifier to channel selection on your TV.

* To controll the full functionality of your Stream Box you need a DSnet version. If you own a Stream Box DS, contact your dealer for an update to DSnet.

* To controll TIDAL you need valid user account on TIDAL service.

* The sorting and display of music titles from media servers can vary depending on the type of server software you use.
* Volume control currently works only in conjunction with the Remote Box S.

Angeblich unterstützt die App auch den 800€ teueren MaiA DS2 Vollverstärker. 

Der taucht im Assistenten der App allerdings nicht mal auf, nur die Stream Box und die Remote Box.

Seit Jahren kein Update, Integration von TIDAL schwach, immerhin mit Spotify alles fein. Kann man vielleicht mal Geld sammeln damit Pro-Ject zwei  oder drei Programmiererstunden fürs Update bezahlen kann ?

I got a Streambox DS Net primarily for Tidal streaming.  To say the app is terrible is kind - locks up, goes to sleep and loses sync, ... on both iPhones and Androids.  Looking at reviews, I’m not alone.  

No other way to access Tidal since only Spotify is on the Streambox menu.  

If I wanted to stream from a computer or phone, I wouldn’t need the Streambox

Auf neuen Geräten sieht die App nicht so gut aus, die Tidal Integration ist naja. Die native Tidal app ist so viel besser und es schmerzt seine Titel dann in der Pro-ject app zu finden. (Stream Box DS2 T)

Update: App stürzt ab, extrem nervig. versuche alles was geht über Fernbedienung zu machen. Das alles bei einem 700€ Gerät, hätte ich mal was anderes gekauft.

Beim Mediaserver bekomme ich ständig dass der Musikcodec nicht unterstützt wird. Über das Gerät funktioniert es.

Really feels like a development app. One where they were developing the box and software but needed *something* to test it with NOW and just hacked something together, but then never got round to writing the proper one.

The app looks like it is made for DOS,  black and white interface. Connects with difficulties. I deleted the app several times to establish connection with streming box ds net. If app goes in background it does not play next song. Garbage!
