Its been there for ages now. Doesnt work. Plus your payment methods dont work now? In case of cash deliveries ask your partner to carry phone with gpay ir paytm. This Box 8 has made me huge fan and regular customer of their excellent service.. I really regretted for so long that why i wasn’t aware about this wonderful service and shudh desi food which they are providing.. Fastest delivery with most delicious and warm food which u can ever have with excellent packaging. If u r out of town and miss your home made food , Man just mark my words u have to order from Box 8 . I ordered groceries online using Box 8 one of the pulses that was sent to me was infected with bugs. You could see 100s of bugs inside the package it was basic common sense for them to check their product before dispatching it. I wrote a review for my order as well and no one cared to even reply. Never going to order anything again from Box 8 ### 5/5 — Nice food! *2020-07-24* " I have ordered from Box8 multiple times, and I think they deserve a good review now. Very good quality of food and variety - Especially gravy items. I have ordered nearly everything they have on the menu, multiple times. It has been the same good quality for each instance. 10/10 Delivery: Very fast. Always on time. Not even a single instance they have delayed, except one time when it was raining heavily, and the person was 15 minutes late, completely drenched. Good and solid packaging. No spillovers are ever seen for gravy items and no flimsy wrapping. Customer support and Problem Resolution: Once I was delivered a wrong order due to a mix-up, and good a proactive response from these guys, without even putting a complaint first. By the time I was to return the order, my original order was already delivered separately." **Developer response:** Thanks for the awesome feedback :) ### 5/5 — First Experience- 7 Star *2020-06-10* I ordered for the first time today on 10th June 2020, first of all the app is so well designed and user friendly, as well as fully secured means of delivery through OTP so that no chance you will miss it. The service is super excellent with on line tracking. By the time I finished payment, got message order is being prepared and in a couple of minutes it was dispatched for delivery. On line tracking helped me to reached our security gate in time so that delivery person need not wait. I got my order within 13 minutes of ordering that too presented by a very polite decent person Sandeep. It really gives a pleasure to see that such excellent service is now available, hope Box8 will continue like this in future also in their endeavour and add up many more things to become a single source for all things. **Developer response:** Thank you very much for your feedback. Box 8 is seriously doing business and making right product for their customer. All items in their menu are being finely cocked, packed and delivered so far I experienced. I am North Indian and being in Bangalore it’s difficult to get the same test from back in delhi or other north india region. Thanks to Box 8 making me to delight the same test here in Bangalore. Cancellation of order within 120 seconds option is something which I like personally. This is more of customer centric. Thanks Box 8 ### 5/5 — Good Variety at Great Prices with a catch! *2019-08-29* Box8 menu will impress most of its users. At least in the initial days. It has good variety of veg and non-veg food and they have come a long way from serving box meals to serving biryanis and wraps and a whole lot of other things. Pricing is killer if you are their priority pass member. If not, you wont be impressed by the price. The pass however is quite a deal in itself and works out to be a great offer if one intends to regularly order from the app. App is also well designed with simple flow and good classification. They also have a cancel button which allows user to cancel the order after placing it. Though its live for only a few minutes, it serves as a great option for those who get last minute jitters. What they lack is poor menu innovation. They haven’t introduced anything new for months now and by the looks of it they don’t intend to, in near future also. If they keep doing that, customers will eventually get bored and leave irrespective of offers and campaigns they run. A lot of companies, even the well established ones have failed for not keeping their offerings dynamic and I’ll hate to see Box8 go down the same path. Till then its a great ‘own kitchen’ food deliver service coming to the rescue. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Beware of stale food and wrong order delivery *2025-04-20* Years ago they started well. Yesterday, I ordered Rajma and I got Dal Makhani. Firstly the order delivered was wrong. Next the dal makhani was stale. There was a sour/rancid taste to it. When I connected with their support team, he apologised for the wrong delivery and gave me a wallet credit of ₹100/-. 🤔🤨😳😳 No word on the stale food delivered!! Answered like a bot! And he closed the conversation 😳 I have zero confidence in their ability to provide fresh food now. I logged out and deleted the app. Never again. I don’t know what their kitchens look like… Next I will have food poisoning surely from Box8 and will get a credit of ₹100/- if letting them continue delivering spoilt food like this. ### 1/5 — Never on time *2023-07-16* Since 3 past orders, we have gotten late due to their late delivery. Once we had to catch a bus and had to eat on the way because of the delay. No wonder the food is good quality but it’s no use to me when I am not getting that food on said time. They say live tracking status. Absolutely false. I had to call restaurant manager who btw answers after 7 min waiting! You are a food delivery company! How do you not know when the food is prepared or when the delivery partner has left with the food. I am never using this app again. ### 1/5 — Box8 is Running Scam *2023-05-15, version 10.7.8* Box8 is scamming people. I ordered food, the ETA was 30 mins. Then they didn’t deliver the food, after 75 mins they marked the food as delivered without delivery. Customer support (Aarifa) doesn’t even care to reply or resolve issue. The delivery boy did not pickup the call for the 10 attempts I made Please don’t use this app and never ever order food from box8. I lost 504 RS and 2 hours on this and didn’t even get the food. This was the worst torture I have had ### 1/5 — Poor support *2022-12-09* I am facing problem with login as I am not able to receive OTP. When contacted Box8 on chat was asked to contact service provider of mobile. (There is no other way to reach Box8 other than chat and that too it is active only during certain hours of the day). Email complaints do not work as the email bounces. When contacted the mobile service provider, was told that if the OTPs are not received then the sender has not complied as per TRAI requirements as the mobile service providers do not block any SMS. Box8 please comply with TRAI before sending OTP. And please provide other means of receiving OTP (Whatsapp/Email) like other do. Please share your name and contact number with us at chat@box8.in so that we can assist you further. ### 1/5 — Third class service & not customer care number available *2021-12-11, version 10.5.0* I ordered food 2 hours ago but de didn’t deliver food till 3 hours , when I called customer care to solve the issue they told me to call delivery person, I called delivery person but he told me that your order is not received by me someone else picked your orders , I can’t help you out of this , you simply call customer care , but customer care can’t help me … Dont do orders on Box8 app , third class service… ### 1/5 — Worst Delivery and customer service *2020-02-23, version 8.0.2* Ordered around 8:07pm. Despatch status was at 8:36Pm. Delivered at 9:20. It hardly takes 5 mins from Box8 to my location. Worst part was I was unable to reach the delivery person on his contact number not customer support was of any help. Was given lame excuses and was rude. Deleting app from my phone and will never order again. I was dedicated customer. I am upset about the way delay was handled. 1) Delivery person number was not reachable 2) customer support gave lame excuses 3) got message that delivery was waiting or unable to reach me even though he has started for delivery 4) excuse from delivery person was he was waiting for another customer delivery. 5) commute time to box and my house is 5 mins. 10 mins delay I can accept but not 40 mins delay. ### 1/5 — Pathetic service *2019-10-04* Pathetic service. Ordered a meal and waited for 2 hours. Called 4 times, twice messaged to check the order status and every time customer support keeps on lying order is packaged and will reach you in 10-15 minutes. After 2 hours when called again, customer care told we need to cancel your order now as food is not available at midnight 11:30. He cancelled the order and still kept on lying that order is not cancelled and we will change the meal box but later confess we donot have anything on stock. I want to give negative rating but no such option. Never order from box 8. ### 1/5 — Customer support -> Dont even think about it *2019-08-04* I usually hold back from writing bad reviews. But this piece of crap service has gotten onto my nerves. Issues with order and you have no one to speak to. I m waiting for 2 hours, neither my order is dispatched, nor able to contact the support. Do the humanity a favor, shut your doors, lock them up, throw the keys into a river and never ever think of opening another such venture. ### 1/5 — Cancelled order without any notification *2019-08-04* I was a big fan of box8 before my today’s pathetic experience. I always order from Box8 located in Electronic City Bangalore and get it in less than 30 mins. But today since it was Sunday, I guess restaurant had lot of orders and so they cancelled it. Did not notify me. When I called customer care in Mumbai picked up which is completely useless and told that as my address is out of delivery area my order is cancelled. How can it be out of delivery area today when you delivered 2 days back at 11pm in the night when it was raining also. My order was cancelled 2 times at night and i didn had any option. They cancelled my order at a time when no other options are available. Its really a shame as to how they are maintaining customers. I place order at 10 at night and didnt got my food at all. All thanks to box 8. Would have given 0 stars if possible. Worst customer handling.
