However, it doesn’t allow you to manually sort your tasks. It does have options to sort by task name, dates, etc but most of the time I just need to move tasks around in my own order of priority. Due to the lack of this feature, I am unable to use this app for my needs. It’s been this way for years and I have suggested this change before. I like the app so much though that I periodically check it to see if they have finally added this option. ### 4/5 — Quite Good *2020-04-28, version 1.9.1* Have been using over 6 months now and I find it very useful. I organize my gardening notes, cross reference foods with recipes in my cookbooks and log where to buy things. I do not use their pre-defines categories. Have access to my data again.... Since the last update all my entries are GONE!!! I spend days for my inventory lists and such. Now a blank red screen comes up. ### 4/5 — The font has to change *2020-04-12, version 1.9.1* The app has a lot of good features, but needs some improvements, the empty fields should get hidden, edit mode should be enabled via a button, not directly and the most urgent requirement is the font change! The current font is beautiful, but you can’t distinguish the difference between ‘I l 1’ (capital i, lower case of L and number 1). If you want to save some serial numbers or your car VIN or chassis number etc, this is very important. ### 4/5 — LOST EVERYTHING!!! *2020-04-11, version 1.9.1* Update: Within 2-3 days, the red screen problem has been fixed!! Have been using this for quite awhile and really liked it. Was using it on and off, for a couple hours, today. Stepped away and my iPad locked, like it always does. Unlocked the iPad and instead of opening to Boximize, since I had it open just a few minutes before, I get my home screen and it no longer appears to be running. Open the app again and it looks like it is going to start up and then all I get is the red background, with nothing more. Shut down the iPad and restarted a couple of times, but still the same thing. Don’t want to delete it and re-install, because all of my data will be deleted. Web page says syncing, to all of your devices, is coming soon! A little late for me. Will need to use a different app, to restart inventory, that we have been inputting into this app, for over a year. Will leave everything alone, until there is another update, to see if that fixes it and see if the data is still there. Just updated to version 1.9.0, within the last 22 hours, so the next update, if it is brought out with the same speed as this one, will be over a year away. Guess I won’t be holding my breath until the next update. ### 4/5 — Great app for keeping detailed records *2020-04-11, version 1.9.0* I LOVE this app! I have been able to build a very detailed database with dates, pictures, notes. I started it for one particular subject (caterpillars), but now I want to create records of my library, property for insurance, so many things. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a 5 is that I would like to be able to print from it or create PDF files. It would also be great to get some kind of information from the developer to show examples of what you can do with it outside of the general app highlights. I think I could find even better ways of using it. ### 3/5 — Issues with new version *2020-04-10, version 1.9.0* So glad to see a new version of this app Couple of issues though 1. If you update an existing install and upgrade you just get a big pink screen and nothing else 2. Tried to restore previously stored Dropbox databases without luck so all earlier databases have vanished 3. It is missing face recognition and starting 2023 it cannot be backed up to Dropbox. I was able to save my .box up to my MacBook Air via AirDrop and restore it on my iPad. Needs some developers work to keep it up-to-date to change this review to 5 stars again. The low review is just to catch their attention as their support channel is not answered. Alfredo. ### 1/5 — Unaddressed bug *2021-06-16, version 1.9.1* If you add a photo to you listing, it can’t be deleted: the app will crash. Beware not to add photos using the app - it does not optimize them but adds them full size, creating enormous files with no way to delete the offenders ### 1/5 — **CAUTION** UNRESPONSIVE DEVELOPERS *2020-07-19, version 1.9.1* I started using Boximize in 2016. I've configured several custom databases that are wonderful and easy to use. You can create backup files and store them on iCloud or dropbox and sync the database to all of your iOS devices independently. So if you add something from the app on your phone and want it on your iPad you have to create a backup file from your phone, save it to cloud storage and then restore it on your iPad. If you have a static inventory, not a big deal. If you have an active inventory this is a HUGE pain in the neck. It is now 2020 and users have been asking for multi-device syncing that has been “coming” for more than 4 years now. Many other IOS applications are now currently available that allow for one data source file and multi-device and multi user access. Hundreds of hours wasted on great code that has been abandoned and unsupported. Sorry to say all good things come to an end! Buyers beware. ### 1/5 — Updated to the latest version, guess what! *2020-04-16, version 1.9.1* It has been 5 or 6 days now since the problem was reported by several users. Could you please respond to whether the Notes I lost can be restored. I look forward to an answer from you. The fix 1.9.1 did not bring my notes back. What can you do to make it happen? It’s been 5 years. This would a 5 star app if the 2015 promised updates were delivered. I still use the app but only for basic data collection. It could be soooo much more. ### 1/5 — Good App *2018-05-15, version 1.8* I will give it 5 stars if the issue of backing up to Dropbox is fixed. I’m using the latest version which claims that the issue is fixed and I’m still unable to connect to Dropbox! I have contacted the developers about it and despite their suggestions it is still impossible to backup the data. The files on the app cannot be backed up by file sharing to iTunes either. If you have too much data on the app you will risk losing it all because there is no reliable backup function. I have ceased using the app because of this. ### 1/5 — I think the design is terrible. *2018-04-17, version 1.8* Open a box then create a structured note inside the box. Well when you open a box your can’t see any of the structured notes inside the boxes unless you press another UI option that then shows the notes? It’s the perfect app when you have not very tech savvy people working with you. The only bad thing about it is the reviews on how unreliable the app could be for some people. When you have sensitive data that you cannot afford to lose, reading how some people have lost very important info is not very comforting. The app is free. No ads, no request for payments. I have a few apps that request payment, since the apps work great, I would not mind paying at all to get rid of ads or to get other perks. If you put an actual effort on something it is ok to get paid for it . I would gladly pay for Boximize if needed. It has the simplicity for any person to use. To the developer, I don’t see why any other company would like to integrate you app to their platform Or have investors helping you on developing your app to a higher level, where all the small details, problems get sorted out. Having the peace of mind your app won’t go away soon enough would be great, because there’s a revenue there to keep it going. Any comments on my review from the developer would be received with immense gratitude. Great Job. One can easily compile a database for any use, and share it with others without the need for a long explanation. If you can type well enough to use a computer, you can use Boximize!
