## What is Boxing Timer?

A round timer built to be heard, not watched. Pick a regulation format, ring the bell, put the phone in your pocket — every round of the session is carried by sound from a locked phone.

Cornerman reproduces the real timekeeper's kit as three separate instruments, following the actual rules of the ring:

• A struck brass BELL starts and ends every round.
• A wooden CLAPPER knocks ten seconds before the round ends — deliberately not a bell, so nobody stops punching early.
• A referee's WHISTLE calls "seconds out" ten seconds before the next round starts.

Three different sounds, so you always know what just happened without looking. All three keep sounding with the screen locked and the app in the background, they ring straight through the ring/silent switch, and they mix OVER your music instead of stopping it.

Every format is fully editable, free: rounds, round length, rest, get-ready time. Serious people train off-spec on purpose, so changing the numbers is never behind a paywall.

BUILT FOR A GYM, NOT A DESK

• Seconds readable from across the room — the clock IS the screen
• The whole screen changes colour with the phase: red work, blue rest, amber final ten
• A full-screen flash on every bell, for rooms too loud to hear one

• Spoken round calls — the round number, called just after the bell
• Mid-round markers — a soft tick at the halfway point or every 30 seconds
• Four bell voices: brass bell, wood block, air horn, digital tone
• Warm-up and cool-down blocks around the rounds

HONEST BY DESIGN

No account, no ads, no tracking. Nothing you set leaves the device. Settings has a plain-language page on what this timer does and doesn't do — including the fact that iOS itself can close any backgrounded app under memory pressure, and that haptics only work while the app is on screen. The bells are the signal.
