## What is BP Food?

BP FOOD helps you make informed food choices with personalized meal plans, food-choice guidance, estimated salt, dietary cholesterol and total fat information, and recipes aligned with general heart-healthy nutrition guidance. Whether you want to reduce dietary salt, improve your diet or consider high blood pressure when choosing food, BP FOOD provides practical tools for everyday use.
PERSONALIZED MEAL PLANS
Get meal plans based on your food preferences, selected eating pattern, meal times, cooking time and household size. Plans are flexible and easy to adapt. Ingredients commonly available in your selected country or region are prioritized.
FOOD CHOICE
Not sure how a food compares with general nutrition guidance for adults with high blood pressure? Enter its name, take a photo or select a photo from your library. BP FOOD reviews its likely nutritional characteristics, explains the factors behind the result and suggests similar alternatives that better align with general heart-healthy nutrition guidance.
SALT+ MONITOR
Take or select a photo of prepared or packaged food. BP FOOD uses image recognition to identify likely foods and ingredients, then uses nutrient reference databases identified in the app to estimate salt, dietary cholesterol and total fat.
The result is an estimate, not a measurement or laboratory analysis. Salt added during cooking, preparation or at the table may not be visible in a photo and may not be included.
Results include estimated nutrient amounts, descriptive indicators such as “high” or “low,” and percentages of general adult daily reference values. Sources for the nutrient data and reference values are linked within the app.
Log foods to view estimated daily totals for salt, dietary cholesterol and total fat. See how individual foods contribute to those totals and identify less obvious dietary sources.

Discover recipes based on ingredients you already have at home. Find practical meal ideas that match your food preferences and nutrition goals. Explore cuisines and meal types from around the world.
FOOD DIARY
Log what you eat throughout the day and view estimated nutrition information in one place.
