The headline on the app listing says "Get energy effortlessly..." Here's my experience. Effortless? I'll let you be the judge of that? Get energy? Absolutely not. All its done is drain my energy and my bank account. Charger doesn't accept contactless. Took ages to set up my account. No support for Apple Pay. Had to use my own charging cable. Then BP took a hold of £60 - yes £60 - of my money. Who knows how long until they release that hold... Then it failed to start charging. Retried several times without success. Oh and I'd already paid £4.50 to park my car... Absolute disgrace. Let's see what BP's profits look like this year in return for providing this service... I'll go do my shopping and then drive to the Tesla charging station a couple of miles away. 1 tap, £20 hold, and a whole lot cheaper per kWh. ### 3/5 — Apple wallet *2026-08-25, version 4.25.0* Why can’t i add the bp puld card to apple wallet? Raised the issue with support a few days ago and a ticket was raised but have heard nothing further. ### 1/5 — Bad *2026-08-07, version 4.23.0* App just freezes on the “customise bp pulse app” page. None of the entry boxes, check boxes or button do anything ### 1/5 — Terrible chargers terrible customer services *2026-08-06, version 4.23.0* Avoid. Billed three times by Octopus for failed charging sessions. Contacted BP support who told me to just use credit card. Tried to charge again and charger did not work but still took £20. Octopus returned their charges after 3 days automatically. Still waiting for BP to, has now processed as a charge despite charging session and no receipt of transaction and no customer support via telephone, only email but they advise try and get your bank to organise a refund as we cannot seem to trace the transaction. ### 1/5 — Completely unfit for purpose *2026-08-04, version 4.23.0* Simply doesn’t work on any level. Aside from looking like a student project (from the year before they learn about “user journeys”) the app is incapable of setting up an account (despite requiring ALL your personal details - it just gets randomly stuck and won’t take any inputs) and worse - it also can’t manage to start a charge, which is the apps only and entire purpose. Also you can’t pay using apple pay. Needs redesigning again from the ground up or, ideally, all BP chargers replaced by competitors ### 2/5 — App not working *2026-08-04, version 4.23.0* I have been trying to use the app for over 2 months now and it is just bugging out I had £20 free credits but can’t look to see if there is any left ### 1/5 — App is broken *2026-08-02, version 4.23.0* I have reported this to BP and got no response. I can’t log into the app as it seems to be stuck on some form of start up loop so I can’t even register. I’m a disabled driver and have a mobility subscription to BP which I’m unable to use. A company the size of BP should be able to sort out a simple looping problem on the app, no deleting and re down loading doesn’t fix it, neither does rebooting the phone.
