Instead, I have to take a picture on my phone, and then somehow remember 48 - 72 hours later to open your app and upload the receipt. It makes absolutely no sense. ### 2/5 — Not accurate balance *2021-09-14, version 15.0.1* BPC encourages use of the app, but does not provide the total amount of money in the account accurately. Interest is not applied and showing in the app in a timely manner. Mine should be done annually on August 1, but even after calling a BPC rep to ask about it, here it is 6 weeks later and it still is not shown as applied to my account. I was told someone would contact me to reply to my inquiry, but after nearly 2 weeks, I have heard nothing. Interestingly, the annual fee was removed promptly on August 5, as shown in my app. That is always taken out annually on the anniversary date of my account with BPC, but interest applied to my account just shows up “whenever”. ### 2/5 — Cute but I’m not a kid *2020-08-21, version 14.0.2* Can we please have an option to revert to the prior version or at least one that doesn’t have points accumulating as if I’m playing a game? I have no use for a financial app that attempts to motivate me with a points system. Also, I would provide my insurance company if there weren’t so many blues plans in the nation, it’s really impossible to know the right one to choose. I would have to also suggest that you make the phone number option more secure and prefill appropriately when you are trying to sign up people for text notifications. It put my home number into the field with incorrect spacing, and returned an error message without help when I needed to backspace the bad data you put there. And that was all in the first 30 seconds of me accessing the app. Couldn’t write a review fast enough. I’m sure I’ll be happy with the features once inside the app, but I had to skip all the up front “helpful” profiling steps. Thx! ### 3/5 — Hate having to go back *2020-02-20, version 12.0* If you add the picture and realize you put in the wrong amount, you have to go back and change it. In doing so, the app removes the photo you’ve already attached so you have to attach it again. This happens often when attaching photos through the camera and also when uploading receipts from existing photos. Even if I review the messages, I always get the notifications each time the app starts. It would be nice to fix this. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Digital garbage *2024-01-19* Apparently BPC got rid of security questions but the app has not received the message: during every login attempt it insists I select security questions, only to indicate that there are none available. I can login via web, so account is fine. ### 1/5 — Debit Card is a waste of time *2023-04-03* After years of participating in BPC’s flex spending, we were directed to utilize the debit card, which was supposed to be for “ease of use”. The process is terrible and requires excessive documentation. BPC has been terrible to work with. The app is awful. I’m sorry I participated this year and would rather pay tax than waste another hour on this process. ### 1/5 — Upload error *2023-01-20, version 22.11.02* Does not upload files and forces user to crop data from image uploads. Cropping images removes data from invoices that BPC won’t accept as a viable file. App is not functional because of this. ### 1/5 — Receipt Issues *2022-12-13, version 22.11.01* The add a receipt feature almost never works. ### 1/5 — Very limited *2022-08-30, version 22.05.00* This app is really limited. For instance, while it does allow you to take a photo of your receipt with your phone, it only allows one photo before it automatically sends the claim, closing it. There is not a way to take additional photos to send with the claim if your receipt is more than one page long. As a result, claims get denied for insufficient documentation so you have to go through the process of replaying to them with the additional documentation that their app did t allow in the fist place. Waste of time and poor customer experience. ### 1/5 — Incomplete function *2022-05-18, version 22.03.00* The app doesn’t allow you to use decimal points at all, so the submission doesn’t match the receipts. When a claim is denied for reimburses there is no way to add another receipt. So frustrating. This company makes it so difficult to get reimbursed! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with a earlier SE iPhone limited functionality *2021-10-13, version 15.0.1* Text of app is way too small on my early generation iPhone to offer any functionality. Tiny. I would have to buy a new phone to use this app. Also there is no way to make a contribution to your HSA from the app. Unfortunately there is no functional website with this company either. Annoying. ### 1/5 — Meh. *2019-08-31, version 11.5* Every login I get a denial notification that I have looked at dozens of times. It won’t disappear. Just so happens the request was a denial that the identical type of visit had been honored many times before, which brings me to the terrible inconsistency of this company. From time to get reimbursed, to what required more documentation to the general knowledge of the people staffed to answer phones... horrible.
