This is because i once came out of school ((Hodgson)) and I was walking to the bus stop and the bus came 15 minutes early and me and me friends both missed that bus. It was an inconvenience for us and my friends mum because she had to leave work to pick us both up. But other than that, Blackpool Transport has very decent service and seats and it is usually very clean. Like issues that have happened on a bus ? ### 2/5 — Hostile to new users *2023-03-02, version 40.0.5* I used this app for the first time today for a journey I had to make. The first issue I had was that I got locked out of my account for 12 hours because I logged in one too many times. I think it’s because I changed my password and then logged out/back in to ensure the login was still valid before boarding. I had to create a new account to be able to buy a mobile ticket. The second issue was that when I activated my ticket, I screenshotted it, thinking that I would need to do that in case I had no internet access on the bus. I regularly screenshot all purchases so it didn’t occur to me that it would be a problem. A warning popped up saying I’m not allowed to do that, and I was logged out of the app (again). When I got on the bus, I found that my pass had been invalidated so I had to purchase another one. I understand the reasoning behind invalidating screenshotted tickets, but the screenshot wasn’t even saved (presumably blocked by the app) and I feel this is policy unfair to new app users who might screenshot purchases out of habit. Keep in mind, I’m a developer myself so I’m particularly tech savvy yet still had this issue - so imagine how many innocent people must be getting double charged for an innocent mistake. It gets two stars instead of one just because I can’t deny that the app is convenient and works well once I did manage to purchase a valid ticket. ### 5/5 — Blackpool Transport App *2023-02-16, version 40.0.5* Great app which is so easy to use and has all the information you could possibly require. Like when I press a bus on the app, then it says 15 min, then the one below it says 15 min. But you can only track one. So other one doesn’t need to be on there. I use the app loads, it’s good. None of their services have Live GPS. *2025-12-08, version 105* Had to contact customer services twice and both times it’s like dealing with low iq trash with no standards. Live times on app are NOT live in anyway shape or form, they just predicted times. ### 1/5 — Not all tickets available *2025-04-23* The cheap Sunday tickets for short trips are not available. I have been told by Blackpool Transport to ask the driver and not use this app. ### 1/5 — Flawed system - be warned! *2023-10-13, version 51.1* Partner’s phone was low on battery so she screenshotted her QR-coded ticket to send to my phone - as soon as you screenshot it bars you from your account for 12 hours, and the tram conductor started spouting nonsense about how he “couldn’t scan a screenshot as it would automatically charge for a new ticket”.. (yet then went on to try and make us buy a new ticket as he wouldn’t accept the screenshot). Anyway we did eventually manage to stay on the tram without needing to buy another (£6) ticket, however I feel preventing screenshots is a very retro and outdated way of policing tickets. ### 1/5 — Bad overpriced *2023-03-28, version 40.2* .a ### 1/5 — Update destroyed the app *2023-01-10, version 40.0* The app was fabulous until they updated it. Now when I click explore it crashes. If I load explore screen it loads town centre stops forcing me to hit location and it crashes. Please update with a function to use google maps instead of using Apple Maps.
