### 2/5 — Basic functionality

*2025-05-07, version 3.12.0*

This app does what it says and nags and ads you to death until you pay the FIVE DOLLARS A WEEK subscription price.

It works! It does what it says. It is in no way worth the price, which would be $269.46 over a year. That’s just not reasonable for what it does. Hard pass.

### 2/5 — Nah

*2025-04-14, version 3.12.0*

Idk man y’all need to improve this. It delivers inconsistent results for the same stuff

### 1/5 — “Totally free to use “

*2024-12-05, version 3.7.2*

If there is a way to use this app free of charge (as advertised) I’d like to know !!

### 4/5 — Fixes

*2024-11-16*

Add a reset time setting. Add a dark icon. Change the application category to utility (I don't like that the application is next to YouTube). When you swipe applications frequently, the offer to buy a subscription pops up, which is very annoying

### 3/5 — Only tap feature works! Don’t pay the subscription

*2024-10-16, version 3.5.4*

Unless you are detecting the bpm of your top 40’s chart pop music the auto-detect feature won’t work. If you’re a DJ and you spin edits, remixes, or underground goodies, then you are better off tapping the screen, which is free!

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2024-10-02, version 3.5.4*

A metronome has no need to be behind a five dollar a month pay wall

### 1/5 — Free version has virtually no functionality

*2024-07-16, version 3.3.1*

The free version of this app has virtually no functionality; it just counts BPM that you tap out as you listen to another music source. Every other control on the app sends you too a splash screen that tries to get you to pay $3/month. Extremely deceptive.

### 1/5 — dubious cookies

*2024-06-17*

The app claims it only uses the id to track and then proceeds to ask for cookie consent for countless third parties. functionality is good, but the app will probably sell your data. There is a premium subscription for 3?/a month but i doubt that will male anything better. There is bpm - Tap Tempo Counter + Game which claims to not collect data.

**Developer response:** Hello there,

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We want to assure you that we do not sell any user data. The data we collect, for which we request your permission, is solely used to enhance and improve the user experience. Our premium subscription offers additional features and an ad-free experience, but rest assured, your data privacy is our top priority, regardless of your subscription status. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team.

Devnex

### 1/5 — Doesn’t look free to me…

*2024-05-13, version 3.1.0*

$1.99 a week or $2.99 a month?! Highway robbery… Give me a week I’ll put something together…

### 3/5 — Works, but there are better options…

*2024-04-20, version 2.3.1*

This is simple BPM app, where you manually tap to the beat/song you’re detecting the BPM of.

While it works fine, it’s not what I was really looking for.

There’s other apps out there that auto-detect BPM and also give you a confidence rating if the song is detected by Shazam in the app.

Much nicer and easier.

### 1/5 — Slimey.

*2024-03-23, version 2.2.1*

They put me on a $2 weekly plan when I agreed to a $3 monthly plan. I didn’t get hit. Canceled during free trial. There are other apps that do this same thing free with ads. Not worth it. Especially if they’re pulling fast ones.

The most accurate I’ve found is called Metronome (go figure). App icon is white with a black “60” and 3 yellow lines.

### 1/5 — Nur mit Abomodell zu nutzen

*2024-03-14*

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2024-02-25, version 2.2.0*

I enjoyed this app until it started popping up an “upgrade to pro” screen. Unfortunately, the X to close the pop up was so high up in the left corner, I couldn’t tap it to close the window. I had to close the app and relaunch to get back to the counter. I happily deleted the app.

### 1/5 — Free version is too limited

*2024-02-22, version 2.2.0*

With the free version you can tap the beat and get an accurate reading providing you tap for awhile. However, that’s ALL you get. If you want to save a list of songs with their bpm you’ll need to pay $2.99/ month. Every control on the screen sends you to the “upgrade to Pro version” page. In the mean time they’re tracking your activity across all apps. I will uninstall as soon as I find something better.

### 1/5 — Beware subscription

*2023-12-31, version 2.0.3*

Lust for $$$$ !
You know where to shove your subsection model.

### 1/5 — Zu teuer

*2023-12-21*

Unverschämtes Abomodell!

### 1/5 — Not very good

*2023-12-03, version 2.0.3*

I didn’t like this one very much at all no clear instructions just tap and several bpm’s come up which is confusing

### 1/5 — 5,99€/Woche ….Abzocke

*2026-04-05*

Aus einem kostenlosen coolen Tool wurde still und heimlich die größte Abzocke im App Store. 5,99€/Woche!!! …Ich nehm wieder die Stoppuhr. Schämt Euch

**Developer response:** Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the current pricing doesn't meet your expectations.

The transition to a subscription model allows us to provide consistent updates, develop new features, and maintain ongoing support for the app. However, we truly value your input and will take your comments into consideration as we evaluate our future pricing options.

### 1/5 — Spam

*2025-12-10*

Won’t even let you try it without a purchase do not bother these free ones out there

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. The app does include free features as well as a free trial so you can test everything before committing. You should be able to explore the app without purchasing, so if something blocked you from doing that, please reach out through the in-app support form and we’ll be happy to help.

Thanks for the feedback.

Kind regards,
Devnex Support

### 1/5 — Geldschneiderei

*2025-11-28*

Für den minimalen Leistungsumfang einfach viel zu teuer - reines Abo!!!

**Developer response:** Hi Peter, thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that the price does not feel right for you. The subscription helps us keep the app up to date and maintain the music detection features which rely on ongoing server costs.

We want the app to feel worth it for you. If you can tell us what you feel is missing or what we can improve, your input really helps us make the app better.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. 🙏

Kind regards,
Devnex Support

### 1/5 — not accurate

*2025-08-13, version 3.18.0*

it was a free app and didnt expect much from it. I dj and the BPM was all over the place. maybe its good i dont know. after 3 tracks telling me it was at 156 then 96 and again at 122 leaves one to believe the algorithm needs attention.

### 1/5 — Predatory pricing

*2025-06-03, version 3.13.0*

I would love to pay for this app out right. No way it’s worth $5/week. There are others better.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-05-24, version 3.12.0*

Went through a few splash screens and then i tried to close the app by pressing home button twice, it then proceeded to scan my fingerprint and accept some terms that I didn’t even get a chance to read. Can’t clearly find the cancellation, as well.

### 1/5 — B

*2025-04-29, version 3.12.0*

This is not free! None of the features work in free mode

### 1/5 — Poor Accuracy

*2025-04-25, version 3.12.0*

For the free version, all you'll get with it is the tap BPM feature. And they stick a giant add and hide the "x" to close it. It's deceptive and makes people think you have to buy the app to use any feature. Worst of all, the "tap" feature is NOT accurate. I've compared it side by side with professional music production and pro dj software and tapped at the same tempo and it's off by several (at least 6 BPM at closest) from what I've seen. Use another app or find another solution.

### 1/5 — Aggressive upgrade ads from the start

*2024-12-17, version 3.7.2*

Only detects BPM (and not that well) for free, all while plastering an upgrade ad across half the screen

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-12-16*

How do I cancel?

**Developer response:** Hi eelnna, we’re sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the app.

If you’re looking to cancel your subscription, you can do so directly through your device settings. If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out to us at info@devnex.nl.
