I am still seeing ads and many genres that are locked. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app, as well as restoring purchases. I can’t imagine an app that doesn’t automatically calculate beats so for my use I can’t get past the whole manual tapping thing. **Developer response:** It seems there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the app’s purpose. EDM BPM is designed specifically as a BPM tap counter, which is clearly stated in the App Store description, screenshots, and onboarding process. The manual tapping feature is intentional, as it is the core functionality of the app. While we understand that EDM BPM may not be the right fit for your needs, a 2-star rating based on a feature the app was never intended to have feels a bit unfair. I ended up deleting the app after 5 min because it is crude in its layout and the developer had made the Upgrade begging unbearable to the point where you can’t even evaluate the app to see if it is what you are looking for. After tapping out the BPM there does kit seem to be a reset or way to start a new bpm session. But believe me there is no limit of upgrade options at every turn. I find it hard to believe that a simple app that is extremely limited would even suggest that they have any upgrade to offer you other than release from their money begging. ### 4/5 — Buena *2022-05-11, version 3.15* Es buena, funcional, pero si fuera estilo Shazam que con solo apretar un botón identifique los bpm, sería la evolución total de la app!! ### 1/5 — Beat counter. *2022-02-20* Not what I wanted. I thought this would use the iPhone internal microphone to count the beats of a song. But instead you actually have to do the tapping yourself. **Developer response:** You're correct. The description of the App (on the App Store listing) states 'Tap the beat of a track to display the BPM'. Perhaps it was a simple misunderstanding! Thanks for giving it a try tho 😁😁 ### 1/5 — If free, why do you need my credit card number? *2022-01-17* Reviews are good, so I was excited to try this app, but as I registered my account it required credit card information, even though I was requesting the “free” version with ads. No thanks. **Developer response:** Thanks for leaving a review. EDM BPM does not require an account to use, nor does it require credit card information. EDM BPM is in-fact free with Ads, but you can make an optional In-App Purchase to remove the ads. This is all handled within your Apple iTunes account, as Apple takes care of the in-app billing. Perhaps you were completing registration on your iTunes account, which may require billing information. I hope this clears things up. The purpose of the App is to list out electronic music genres at the tempo you're tapping. It's a tool for electronic music producers and DJs. Sorry you did not have an optimal experience with the App; we'll keep working on it. ### 1/5 — It has invasive ads now *2024-04-09* This app use to be really good a few years ago, but now the ads are very intrusive and annoying You’ll be tapping and they added a huge! box ad right where you are tapping on and boom you touch the ad and it auto takes you to a link Very sketchy and annoying I’m deleting this now and going somewhere else **Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your thoughts! We did make changes to the different ad formats and ad sizes in the App. The box ad should load only once per fresh App launch and it can be closed without a delay by pressing the X button in the top corner. I paid $4.99 for an app that I have to tap my finger to get the BPM???? I feel stupid for doing so and fell for it only because they have lots of reviews. They won’t refund me because they are right it says “tap”. Good for the developers of this app getting away with charging $5 for an app you have to manually tap, 5 stars for that, they got my money…lol. I went and purchased Beat Mirror for the same amount of money and it works perfectly as expected. **Developer response:** Hello and thanks for this review. Yes - EDM BPM is a BPM Tap counter. We illustrate that clearly in the App’s description. Regarding our refusal of refunding - this is untrue. If you made a purchase of EDM BPM full version and you’d like a refund - just visit Reportaproblem.apple.com and select ‘Request a refund’ in the first dropdown. Us developers can not issue refunds on in-app purchases (we do not have that ability), but Apple most certainly can. Hope this helps.
