Instructions describe how to get BPM readings for songs you play on your phone, but it either can’t or the instructions are so messed up I don’t understand.   And I dropped the $$ for the lifetime Pro ticket based on reviews.  I feel like I was suckered.

You can get the BPM from song playing on your phone but it has to be playing out loud from the speaker so the mic can pick it up. Unfortunately, iOS doesn't allow an app to listen to another app's audio directly. I can't get around this rule 😞. The app's description states that the detection is made from the microphone.

Mein erster Test war direkt frustrierend. Nach mehreren Versuch hatte ich mehrere Ergebnisse. Konnte die nicht verifizieren, da nach ein paar Mal eine Sperre kam, worauf ich zur bezahlten Version wechseln sollte…

It measures composition’s BPM, when the brain can't count, ahaha, and there is also a built-in Shazam. Good-good-good ⚡️

Two things would make this app worth its cost; 
The graphic display is too small and intricate to monitor while playing. 
Include a metronome function that can be set to display a selected tempo with a click sound.

Finalement j’ai trouvé un détecteur de bpm qui marche très bien et automatiquement. La version pro vaut vraiment le coup avec Shazam intégré et sans pub. Merci !

This is a total game changer for me, man. I was always listening click tracks. I was driving me nuts now I can just play and look and see what speed I’m playing and if it’s a little slower, I’ll just speed up a little bit and if it’s too fast, I’ll just slow down a little bit. This is totally awesome.

J’avais eu un problème avec l’ancienne version, mais cette nouvelle fonctionne parfaitement! Le créateur de l’application est super réactif si besoin. Je recommande à 100 %!

Merci d’avoir essayé mon app, désolé qu’elle ne soit pas à la hauteur de vos attentes.
Concernant la précision de la détection, plusieurs facteurs peuvent provoquer un mauvais calcul, comme, par exemple, la sélection d’une mauvaise plage de bpm ou une vibration du support sur lequel est posé l’appareil.
Concernant le remboursement, je n’ai malheureusement pas la main dessus, c’est Apple qui décide de les accepter ou non.

Thank you for quickly making improvements based on feedback! The counts are updated very quickly and the reliability is also visualized, making this a great product. There are some false positives for unconventional R&B from the 2000s, but overall I'm satisfied!

Adware - each time you want to detect a beat 40 seconds of adverts have to be watched. £10 fee for software that should retail for £5 without the entirely unnecessary Shazam software which has been crowbarred in to pump the price up. I just want a BPM detector! Pass.

Thanks for trying my app. I’m sorry the pricing is not working for you. It took me months of work to get to that detection speed and accuracy and I actively work on maintaining the app. I believe that the pricing is fair.

Shazam is one of the features you get with the upgrade, but there is more to it.
Also, since version 2, ads are only watched on demand, not forced.

I tried the app for about 15 minutes on 2 Tom Petty songs. I spent more time trying to close the ads.  I can’t tell if the app is good or not due to the ads.

Sensitivity settings can’t detect drum stick smacking into each other even at most sensitive setting. Horrible experience compared to live bpm.

I’ve tried them all! This app has the best design and great accuracy. I’ve been using it for band practices and live shows for the past six months and i can’t imagine playing without it. I keep a phone mount just below my hi hats so i can always see it. i especially love that landscape / fullscreen mode is so clean and elegant, and also shows the .5x and 2x multiples of the tempo in the corners, which is a really elegant way of giving effortless visibility outside the primary range for detection.
