It’s designed so that while you’re tapping for the BPM ads will pop up and you’ll unknowingly tap them. Pretty annoying. Used to work great but now they’re clearly milking the thing.

Absolutely terrible business model. Ad pops up as you're tapping such that you will click on the ad by mistake. This makes the app unusable and is borderline disrespectful to users.

Used to be my go to app to use for fitness classes, it’s borderline unusable now. Ads pop up while you’re tapping and take you out of the app, if you miss a few beats it takes ages to average out again.

Crazy that this is allowed. 
Over half the screen is covered by the ads.

This is an awful app experience. Not only are all the “too many ads” reviews correct, the ads appear at half the screen size while you’re in the middle of tapping so you accidentally tap on it and it opens the ad; a sleazy way of getting accidental paid clicks to juice their income. Definitely get yourself a better app than this one.

Très bon outil manuel et fonctionnel. Un des plus utiles et surtout qui tient ses promesses. Sinon, il y avait liveBPM qui avait été fait par un français et qui fonctionnait automatiquement jusqu’à ces derniers mois… les mises à jour l’ont rendu caduque. Continuer à aimer les BPM, GuideBPM vous salue et vous souhaite de bons sets.

This is a great app! I teach Zumba and need the bpm of my songs. This is fast and effective! Would pay to remove ads if available!

This BPM counter is exactly what I was looking for. All it does is open, lets you tap out the pulse of what you were listening to, and it calculates the average BPM for however, long you tap.

This means that, if you only tap for four beats or eight beats (1-2 bars), and you tap like a human, it’s likely you will get a slightly inaccurate BPM reading. But if you tap for five or six or seven measures (20-28 beats), you will get almost exactly the BPM of the song you are listening to. I found that to be the sweet spot. 

I don’t mind the ads at all because they are out of the way. But I appreciate how basic, functional and not fussy this app is. I hope the developers make money off it.
