## What is Brackdown?

Brackdown is the universal scoreboard for every sport, video game, and backyard tournament you play — now with a built-in community.

FIND PLAYERS, NOT JUST SCORES
The Discover tab surfaces other Brackdown players ranked by the sports you both play. Tap Quick Match for a random opponent in seconds. Filter by sport, sort by ELO. Become discoverable and let others challenge you back — only your name, top sports, and ELO are shared. No accounts, no servers, just iCloud.

MESSAGE YOUR FRIENDS
Built-in 1:1 chat with friends. iMessage-style bubbles, read receipts, push notifications when a friend messages you, block and report tools built in. All over iCloud, no separate login.

KEEP REAL ELO RATINGS
Every match — Tennis, FIFA, pickleball, chess, bowling, you name it — feeds your per-sport ELO and a weighted overall rating that follows you across every game. Adaptive USCF-style scaling means new players move faster and masters move slower, just like in real chess.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
Everything is on your device unless you choose to publish. Discoverability is opt-in. iCloud sync is optional. Profiles only sync when you explicitly share them. Chat and Discover are powered by iCloud Public — no accounts to create, sign in with your Apple ID like every iCloud app.

Convention-prep polish:
- Win odds now shown before every match so you can see the upset prediction.
- One-tap Load Demo Data in Settings (Developer) — fills the app with believable players, weeks of matches, and a running tournament.
- Smoother onboarding: animated step transitions, dynamic hero icon, name field auto-focuses.
- Haptics now actually respect the Settings toggle (rich Core Haptics during play, simple haptic on win).
- Cleanup pass on the home screen.

Hotfix:
- Friends invite link now actually opens to a profile sheet where you can add the person — was silently dropping you on the home screen.
- Made the invite link tiny so it fits in iMessage. Old link encoded your whole profile into the URL; new link is just a short reference.

- New Friends list — share or scan a QR to add a friend, mark anyone as a friend from their stats page.

- Animated ELO numbers — every rating update flips into place.
- Brackdown matches and players now show up in iOS Spotlight search; tap to jump straight to the detail.
