### 2/5 — Results

*2026-06-29*

I am not sure how accurate this test is. I know for a fact I have memory issues. But I scored a perfect 22. So…. I don’t know how good it is. Perhaps I will look for another one.

### 4/5 — Thoughts

*2019-07-10, version 1.4.8*

Seems basic but there may be something I missed
A little nervous it might turn up something that I may not like

### 1/5 — Short lived!

*2019-02-28*

I downloaded this app thinking it was free. Nope! First thing asked for was billing info. If it's a free trial this shouldn't be required until the free trial period is about to end. Sounded like a good idea too.... already deleted it.

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2019-02-26, version 1.4.4*

The test may be well and good I didn’t wait to find out ! I was hooked up to a monthly subscription that I decided could wait till I had a result so went to cancel, 2 hours later and several different people all trying to cancel the subscription a tech guy found that if you hold the subscription button and open in apple and cancel from there. Very annoying and will not open this app again as it is dangerous to get hooked into this if you are concerned about your mental health and it is sooo difficult to unsubscribe Very, very disappointing!!!

### 2/5 — Nice Idea

*2019-02-25*

I like the idea, but the price is excessive at about $50 a year for only 2 tests. I took the pretest. It took me 5-10 minutes and appears to be a good screener. If there are cognitive problems that need to be tracked it might be worth the money if you have it. To make it a more viable option for seniors, a generous senior citizen discount could be offered. That might change my interest in continuing.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2019-02-23*

Open up and asks the notification question then nothing happens. Don’t release an app if it hasn’t been tested properly.

**Developer response:** Hi ApriliaFalcoMan, thanks for your feedback. We would like to help you further with your concern. Please contact us at support@braintest.com for assistance.

### 1/5 — Can’t cancel monthly account.

*2019-01-17, version 1.4.3*

I wanted to try the app first but had to register payment details. Then when I tried to test and thought it was very basic for the cost I tried to cancel but nothing happens. I haven’t paid anything so far but I would like to know I won’t get charged every month.

### 4/5 — Mr.

*2018-12-15, version 1.4.2*

Interesting

### 1/5 — Not Free!!!!!

*2018-06-19*

Just beware this is not a free app. You need to join and then choose different options on how you want to proceed and how much you want to pay.

**Developer response:** Hi Kmisak, thanks for your feedback. We do offer a 30 day free trial with the subscription. If our customers are not satisfied, they are welcome to unsubscribe at anytime. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@braintest.com. Thanks!

### 1/5 — It's not free

*2018-05-20, version 1.3.3*

Want an annual subscription

### 1/5 — Would not work

*2018-01-18*

Did the free trial and could not get it to work. Kept getting errors that stopped the app.

**Developer response:** Hi weather mike, we would like to assist you in this matter. Please contact BrainTest customer support at support@braintest.com for assistance. Thanks!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — really, that’s it?

*2025-12-10*

of no use to me, clearly for very severe issues

### 1/5 — Deleting after opening in 2024 October

*2024-10-11*

In app purchase though accurate is meant to be misleading. As you can’t take the digital test version unless you accept a free trial that will renew to paid if you don’t subscribe. I would have never downloaded the app had I known this prior. The print out download is just fine enough. It makes me think that there isn’t enough trust in a free version minus having it looked at by another via the app to generate money. So hoping most will forget to unsubscribe.

### 1/5 — Only one test every 6 months

*2024-06-17*

I downloaded this and subscribed as I wanted to test my wife. Unfortunately I took the one allowed test myself so that I would be familiar wit the process. So I’m cancelling the subscription. $50/year? I’ll just take her to a doctor.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2022-01-03*

Can’t get finished test to upload. But I do get those handy dandy notices, every. single. day., telling me i need to upload my test! AAARRRGGGG!!!

### 1/5 — Paid $24.95 for nothing

*2020-09-18*

I had previously used their 30 day free trial. I ended my subscription at the 30 day mark and, therefore, owed no money. Recently, I decided to enroll in their six month plan. I did so expecting that I would be given another brain test. After I subscribed, I was told that this was not the case. That I had already used my free trial, which I knew, and therefore I had to pay the $24.95 fee but I was paying for NO test. Beware of this company. I asked them for a refund the same day I subscribed and they said that I did not have a right to a refund. BEWARE of this scam.

### 1/5 — Nothing but a scam playing in your fears

*2019-09-08, version 1.5.0*

This is nothing but an app that seeks to exploit fear and anxiety. And get to your wallet through scare mongering..

Live and be happy and ignore these scaremongering apps. Look after your health but don’t live in fear cause we are all going to die one day.

Just save your money and spend it on yourself and your family to enjoy life instead of feeding these scaremongers who prey on the weak minded in order to make themselves rich.

### 1/5 — Not Really Free!

*2019-08-13*

It claims to be a free app, but you cannot do anything until you sign up for the free 30 day trial with automatic renewal.

Sure, you can get 30 days free if you remember to cancel it after that.

### 1/5 — Worst app and terrible company

*2019-06-12*

I hate this app and any other company that inserts ads in the middle of a (Facebook) video I’m watching. Let’s unite and get rid of this obnoxious advertising.

**Developer response:** Hi Bill, we would like to assist you in this matter. Please contact support@braintest.com for further assistance. Thank you.

### 1/5 — Nice little earner

*2019-05-19, version 1.4.6*

So you get people with memory problems to sign up to a free trial but then take money from them once they’ve forgotten they signed up and need to cancel. Haha! Not me! I passed that brain test!

### 1/5 — Don’t get in this app, you can’t cancel

*2019-04-13*

Too expensive, only one test in 6 months and to cancel you have to send a letter in writing to Grand Cayman Island. This is a scam,

**Developer response:** Hi RosaGuerra, there's no need to send a written letter in the mail. If you have any questions, you can always email us at support@braintest.com for assistance. We're here to help. Thanks for being part of BrainTest.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Hope

*2025-09-06*

I love the hope of a confirmed analysis this gives me.

### 5/5 — I found this extremely interesting.

*2023-11-04*

As expected, easy to download and follow along. Provided lots of examples for those of you that may be a bit challenged. I found the drawing just a little clunky because I have to move my finger across an iPad so I’m sure my drawings were not as good as they would be if I had a pen and was doing it on paper; I hope they will take that into consideration. Very interested to see my results.

### 5/5 — A must for everyone over 65 (I 85 and still practicing 24/7)

*2020-06-23*

As a practicing medical doctor with a Masters degree and 7 years at the National Istitute of Health , 5 of those years in the NINDB ( National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Blindness in those days) I appreciate your program for Brain function stimulation. Keep up the great contribution. I have found nothing better or with more patient acceptance. Jack Carleton MD, MS , FACEP

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-05-23, version 1.4.7*

I enjoyed the test but that’s probably because I got a good score😀. I think it could be a helpful tool for someone who is wondering how well they are functioning and because you can compare your results with a test done at a later date, it could be useful.

### 5/5 — Brain

*2019-01-10*

Always concerned of failing the test but it is what it is and if I can do something today that might make a difference for me tomorrow and for my family it’s worth it. Can’t hide from the truth.

I have shown my results to my Dr and he says my test scores are high. Which makes me better.

### 5/5 — Grateful Review

*2018-12-03*

This experience has been so reassuring! It is very frightening to experience changes in my short-term memory and have friends get upset when I forget appointments, etc. It makes me feel like things are much worse than I think they really are. My experience over the last few times have restored some of my self-confidence, although I do recognize that I have some problems with short-term memory. I am trying to use tools like appointment calendars, etc. to help my memory.

I think that, without this program, I would be frightened and very depressed! This testing helps me see the changes more realistically. Please do let me know if there are other things I should be doing to improve my brain functions. I am a voracious reader, and I do daily crossword puzzles. I do struggle with getting enough sleep. I think that is the next thing I need to work on. I go to the gym daily and have a personal trainer who is working with me on balance, flexibility, and core strength.

With sincere gratitude,
Kathy Bruck

### 5/5 — I confirmed...

*2018-10-22, version 1.3.5*

Good thing i took the test. It confirmed that the nurse was stealing my ,medication and im not going crackers

### 5/5 — 30 day free trial gets you one free test!

*2018-01-09, version 1.3.1*

Love that fact this can be done at home.

Grandpa is aging and it's very apparent to those around him that he isn't as sharp as he used to be.

Rather than needing to convince him to get tested or go to the doctors (which is a tall order because he is stubborn), this will be the perfect tool to assess his brain health with a low barrier of entry.

Fingers crossed scores won't be bad, but if they are, then the scientifically validated results will build a strong case for further checkups by a physician...

### 5/5 — Helpful tool to asses if further evaluation is necessary

*2017-12-14, version 1.3.0*

I downloaded BrainTest for my dad who is 72 years old after we suspected that he might be experiencing some memory impairment. I heard about it after reading about the Self-administered Gerocognitive Exam (SAGE) in an article. This test is based in this exam ( not sure if completely) that helps doctors to know how well your brain is working.
The questions looked way easy but still my dad had trouble to respond some of them. I guess the trick to detect cognitive and memory loss starts by simply responding trivial questions.
I'm happy with the results and I recommended this app to my husband's aunt who's concerned about her memory loss.

### 5/5 — A great way to monitor your cognitive health!

*2017-12-14, version 1.3.0*

This app is a step towards raising mental health awareness. It’s just like doing a routine physical only for your brain. You can take BrainTest in the privacy of your own home every six months and print off the results for your doctor to review. Early detection and early intervention is key!
