The music and sounds plays normally until you block the phone or change app :( I already checked everywhere and can't find how to solve it. ### 3/5 — Does not work with IOS 16 *2024-02-26* I’ve been using this app for many years, and it’s easily 5 stars when it works. However, on a new iPhone 15 with IOS 16 installed, it freezes on startup and then kicks you out to the main screen after 30 seconds. Luckily, I have it installed on an old iPad Air where it still works, but beware if you plan on buying/using this app on a newer device. ### 3/5 — So annoying I can’t play Waking Up meditation app at the same time. *2021-09-25, version 1.6.1* I mistakenly thought you’d be able to layer app sounds like you can with other similar sounds apps like the Brainwave binaural beats suite of apps- with those you can have that playing And something like an audiobook (or the Waking Up meditation app!), but with this you Can play it With Brainwave binaural beats But it shuts off if you start Audible. This is what I wanted it for, I’m very happy with the Brainwave (totally different developer) binaural beats apps but I wanted to add isochronic beats to my nighttime routine. Sadly I’m not able to with this app. ### 4/5 — Forgotten Great App *2021-03-27* I wanted to put down 5 stars, but the developer seems to have forgotten all about this gem of software. It still works, and for the most part works well, but isn’t being actively developed. This means that at any moment it could just fall off the App Store into oblivion never to be seen again. Or at least could be unworkable on a new iPhone or something. I hope that the developer updates it for full compatibility with all current devices and OSes. Maybe could add some improvements to the UI or add new features. I’d LOVE the ability to put this on in the background while I listened to podcasts or audio books. That may not be possible, but it sure would be helpful. Or an alternative could be to be able to run it on my Mac .. maybe a Mac version? ### 3/5 — Subliminal messaging? *2020-07-09* I don’t like using the sounds or music with the beats, I like them untainted, but I realized there’s a woman talking in the background of EVERY. SINGLE. BEAT. It’s irritating. The free version didn’t do that. I like how you can adjust the volume of each separately. I like to use binaural beats and isochronic tones with just background noise, such as rain, the ocean, etc. My problem with this app is that it seems that the developer is not knowledgeable about frequency ranges. For example, the Delta Meditation, the description says that the session starts at 13hz and ends at 14hz. Hmm. But neither one of those frequencies are in the Delta range, but rather fall in the Beta range. I found similar statements in several of the descriptions. How can someone who develops such an app not know the frequency ranges? BUT *2024-03-26* Unfortunately the developer confirmed they are no longer supporting this app. Emailed them and this was the reply “ Unfortunately, we are not maintaining Brainwave studio app anymore and it's not compatible with the latest version of iOS. “ They suggested I request a refund. I love the app so I’ll hold onto it for as long as I can. This has helped with anxiety more than anything else I’ve tried in the past decade+. It’s a unfortunate one day it won’t be available for others. What makes this app unlike others is they put the perfect music with each option. Then they start you off at a frequency you’re most likely at and slowly lower it. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass ihr eine Watch Version entwickelt, sei es für diese oder die kostenfreie App Version. Damit man, nicht immer an das ablenkende Smartphone hier für muss und man diese auch mal zuhause lassen kann. I love how you can layer all the different sounds and adjust the different volumes etc. Please keep this app going!! <3 ### 5/5 — Plays in the background! *2019-10-02* The best feature to me is that you can have these tomes going while you do other things on your phone; it's not held hostage, which is good, because some of these sessions are long. We're not talking 5 minutes here. Also, there's this cool array of nature sounds you can play independently of the tones. I play them at the desk at work so that I feel like I'm in a serene forest or beach or something. Finally, the tones work and are the frequencies they claim to be. When I use this program (especially when walking) I feel great. And my insomnia disappears.
