## What is Braisery?

Braisery is a personal recipe library for phone, tablet, and laptop. One $19.99 purchase. Universal across every Apple device you own. No accounts. No ads. No subscription. No tracking.

YOUR KITCHEN, ON EVERY DEVICE
Browse your library on the couch, scale a recipe at the counter, and run hands-free Cook Mode while the timer counts down. Your recipes look and feel native on every platform — built with SwiftUI, not borrowed from another phone.

IMPORT FROM ANYWHERE
Paste a link from any recipe site and Braisery strips the food-blog intro down to the actual recipe. The parser runs on your device when your phone or Mac supports Apple Intelligence — no cloud round-trip, no API key, no waiting on someone else's servers.

COOK MODE
Big text. Tap-to-start timers parsed from the step body. Screen stays awake while you cook. Wet-hands VoiceOver throughout. Designed for the moment between the cutting board and the stove, not for scrolling.

SHOPPING LIST
Consolidate ingredients across every recipe you're cooking this week. The list groups by aisle, dedupes "3 lemons + 2 lemons → 5 lemons", and checks off as you go. Print to take it on the go.

COOKBOOKS
Group recipes any way you want — by occasion, by family member, by season. Weeknight, holiday, in-laws.

27 STARTER RECIPE PACKS
Don't start empty. Tap to install Italian, French Pastry, Southern & Soul, Weeknight Dinners, Japanese, and twenty-two more. Curated, not auto-installed — your library stays yours.

iCLOUD SYNC, ONLY IF YOU WANT IT
Off by default. When you turn it on, recipes sync between your own devices through your own iCloud account — Apple to Apple, never
through a Braisery backend. Privacy label reads "Data Not Collected" and stays true.

ANNUAL MAJOR UPGRADES, NEVER FORCED
Braisery 2 and 3 will be new App Store SKUs. You always get to keep the version you bought. Point releases (2026.1, 2026.2…) are free.

NOT FOR YOU? Apple makes refunds easy. But first — email hello@braisery.com and I'll do everything I can to make Braisery work for you. Many "refund-worthy" frustrations are a five-minute fix on my end.

Built by one developer who got tired of recipe apps that wanted his account, his data, and a monthly fee. No accounts. No data. No fee.

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2026-05-17*

A recipe app that has been updated. This has been a pleasure to use.

### 5/5 — Perfect recipe app

*2026-05-17*

I love how this app makes it easy to see the ingredients and the amounts as I’m cooking. Finally a recipe app that makes it easy to cook with it instead of fighting me the whole way. Great selection of recipes and easy to save new ones. Highly recommend.

You can import recipes by pasting a link from any recipe website. Braisery's on-device parser extracts the core recipe, removing introductory content. This feature requires Apple Intelligence support on your device.

### What is Cook Mode in Braisery?

Cook Mode is designed for hands-free use in the kitchen. It features large text, tap-to-start timers parsed from recipe steps, keeps your screen awake, and supports VoiceOver for wet-hand navigation.

### Does Braisery have ads?

No, Braisery is ad-free. The developer explicitly states 'No ads' and emphasizes a commitment to a private user experience without tracking or subscriptions.

### How does Braisery handle shopping lists?

### Is my recipe data collected by Braisery?

No, Braisery prioritizes privacy. It does not collect your data, and iCloud sync is optional and uses your own iCloud account, not a Braisery backend. Its privacy label states 'Data Not Collected'.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2026.3 — 2026-07-23

This update fixes bugs and adds a faster way to save recipes from sites that won't let you paste a link.

• Paste-to-import: When a recipe is behind a login or paywall, copy the text and paste it in — Braisery pulls out the title, ingredients, and steps for you.
• Smarter web import: Links from login-walled pages no longer import menu text and cookie banners.
• Import from Crouton & Mela: Backup files now tell you which recipes had problems instead of skipping them silently.
• Recipe Packs: Removing a pack now warns you first if you've edited any of its recipes.
• Fixes a bug that could create duplicate recipes when switching apps mid-edit.

### 2026.1 — 2026-05-18

Version 2026.1

Batch actions across your library
Select multiple recipes at once in Library, Cookbook detail, and Cookbooks — then move, tag, or delete in a single tap
Mac: Cmd-click and Shift-click to build selections, with a context menu for batch actions
Cookbook detail now has a full context menu, matching Library

Sharper ingredient matching
Boneless, skinless, bone-in, skin-on, and similar prep variants now match cleanly in shopping lists and search

Cleaner pack management
Uninstalling a recipe pack now syncs across all your devices — no more reinstalls reappearing after a sync

Plus the usual round of polish and stability fixes.

### 2026.0 — 2026-05-17
