Or either I’m slow ### 2/5 — Little Sketchy… *2024-03-07* I signed up for this app and was excited because not a lot of skincare apps exist and good-quality ones are hard to come by, especially ones that recommend products or routines. If you do want to get this app, DON’T SIGN UP! I wanted to sign up because typically with accounts on these kinds of apps, it becomes more customized and just a better experience overall. However, the sign-up on this app requires you to give your email, first and last name, phone number, MAKES YOU sign up for text alerts (not optional!), and MAKES YOU share the app with three friends/contacts via text or mail (also not optional!). Personally, I quit at that point because my personal information is important to me and I’m not going to give them more than they need to know, and also my friends don’t deserve an ad in the middle of the day. Just saying: I’m sure the app has some upsides and good qualities, but if the sign-up process is enough to raise some red flags and make ME quit, the app itself is probably worse. The app crashes way more than normal. It crashes maybe every other time I use it, so it would be greatly appreciated if this could be prevented in the future. 2). This is more of an inconvenience than a concern, but when you view a product, it doesn’t show the typical number of images you would see on the website (like swatches of the products, what they look like on diff. skin tones, etc.). You are able to see the picture left in reviews/comparison reviews, but sometimes/ most times there are no pictures of what the product looks like. All this to say that other than these, the app is pretty convenient. **Developer response:** Hello! Our team is aware of numerous reports of the app crashing. We are looking into it! No thanks. So then I went to the website and there is nothing much to see except 12 products, the bundles seemed promising, but many are sold out and some have a redirect to buy on amazon. Weird. Not sure why an entire app is necessary for so little stock and merch. ### 1/5 — Another cult *2023-01-15, version 4.44.0* Sorry, but at 47 years of of age and years of actual skin care and with a strong knowledge base in products and working for companies that just sell expensive nothing basically it’s like Sephora it’s like another cult it’s not cheaper because as soon as I went on this app, it was buy this bundle for 147. Buy this bundle for 97 subscribe and save it’s about buying products, it is the beauty community right it’s about money and everybody’s money is the same colour so it doesn’t matter not fond of this site and was not impressed Very disappointed. Within five minutes I had skin type. OK here’s three products that you should have and we’ve already compared and then the duping no thank you that’s not what they should be about. It’s about selling products that are apparent dupes but they’re not all dupes, and if I hear fragrance free is the way to go. Oh my god if people only knew that in a tube of retinal at various strengths and intervals is the ultimate anti-ager, that’s the only way we produce collagen, ladies and gentlemen. And you’re never too old and you’re never too young for sunscreen I don’t see a lot of that being sold on the site that should be the first thing especially with all these peeling agents to throwing in your face, the first item should’ve been sunscreen. So basically, just trying to sell you a lot of products that they claim are the dupe for a more expensive item and they’re not cheap either so it’s not a win-win and it’s a no no for me. ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2022-06-05* Can’t build a skincare routine because they don’t have anything I use on the list. I use very popular brands and I find it odd the will only have one or two items from different brands listed. They send marketing emails but there’s no way to turn them off without blocking their emails. If I block their emails I won’t get a notification if I do decide to purchase in the future. Lastly their search feature is horrible! I decided to search the community tab for recommendations on skincare when hiking. Instead of the search finding keywords it searches by letter so none of the info available will match your specific needs. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
