Easy to use and reliable so far. However, two functions would be fantasy if they could be added. 1) CarPlay compatibility since the fridge will be often used in a vehicle. 2) The ability yo turn individual compartments on and off from the app. Apart from that, so far so good. ### 2/5 — App *2026-04-14, version 2.0.9* Fridge is ok the App is terrible ### 4/5 — Suggestion *2026-01-08, version 2.0.9* It would be nice if you were able to make the app compatible with apple car play ' ### 3/5 — No alarm system, not tested on modern iPhones *2025-12-14, version 2.0* Handy to be able to adjust temperature fare more conveniently than the panel which is clunky at best. Bizarre that it doesn’t have an alarm to tell you if the voltage drops too much or an error occurs which would make this far more useful. Also despite being updated in 2021 it doesn’t look right on my iPhone 15 - settings button is under the top bar and barely tappable. Please update and add an alarm function ### 2/5 — Frustrated *2025-11-17, version 2.0* I have an 11 litre fridge only. Because it has 3 different power resistance levels depending on whether it’s charging from the car while running / car while off or solar or it’s own battery, if I forget to change it, the fridge shuts down with an F1 fault and stops running. The app needs a warning alarm to tell me that it has stopped. Not very helpful when it get to 35°C and I go to get a cold drink but it’s failed and the drinks are hot. Instead of left and right. Useful for the flat fridges, it would be useful to use the fridge and freezer monikers for these. Also having the UI minimum temp for left and right (fridge and freezer) scale correctly for the model which is connected. As it is the minimum is 0 for both despite the freezer having a min setting of -40. Fixing the UI so the buttons that do something are clear and the buttons that have no control for your model are gone. Otherwise a great product. Don’t let the app’s shortcomings affect your purchase. For monitoring only it’s fine. ### 1/5 — App closes *2024-12-25, version 2.0* Have used for a long while but just now when I tried to connect, it closed as soon as I pressed Scan Fridge. I uninstalled the app, turned my phone off and then back on and reinstalled, same issue. All the information is well laid out and adjustments for the various fridge settings have been duplicated. The Bluetooth is a great feature that most brands are yet to feature. I would give 5 stars but disappointingly there are no notification settings to set alarms for both fridge temp and voltage. This would be so handy. The top right hand corner has a gear icon but does nothing when pressed. Buttons aren’t working on the actual fridge so it’s stuck on 20. The app has no alarm to alert when temp changes, as the esky cannot maintain reg temp… this app should have something to alert to temp change so food is not lost. You can’t get any further than the home page before shut down. Attempt to notify the app of an issue but then redirected to a webpage saying I don’t have access. Presuming some sort of technical issue. Jaycar & RTM always have them discounted. I now have 3 Brass Monkeys! 45 litre, 15 litre with high lid making it an 20 litre and just bought the 15 litre with handle. The 15.6 battery is a must. The App is good but can be improved. I would be happy to pay for extra enhancements. After about 3 months we bought the battery for it. Stoked how well it works and the battery lasts really well. Haven’t had any issues. Took the monkey on holiday in the caravan to use as a freezer, works a treat. Got our second one while on holidays so we could have it in the car for cold drinks and some snacks. I used the app on my recent camping trip to monitor the temps of the fridge. The voltage cut off setting did confuse me a bit, and made my fridge start to heat up. Agee reading the manual again, I figured out it needed to be on the lowest setting to keep the fridge going when the battery got low. The app resumes fine when you close it, and goes back to the fridge scanner utility when the fridge isn’t in BT range. It also finds the fridge again quickly when you return to proximity. Apart from being a little clunky, the app seems to work fine.
