### 4/5 — Needs update for iOS 11

*2017-09-26, version 1.3*

Please update for iOS 11. This is a very handy app and I will miss it.

### 4/5 — Great but needs more instruments and notes

*2017-09-13, version 1.3*

I play the euphonium but I understand that there needs to be more instruments on there and I do have some notes that are lower than what they have. I really like this app on one song I wasn't sure what the notes were and it helped a lot

### 3/5 — Why no 4 valve? D:

*2016-01-06, version 1.3*

This is a pretty simple app but it would be nice to have alternative fingerings for euphonium... That's originally why I downloaded the app in the first place

### 3/5 — Not what I thought 😔

*2015-03-08, version 1.3*

I was looking for an app that played the sound of the notes as I am learning a new piece of music. So if you are looking for an app that plays the notes this is not for you. But if that is not what you are looking for it is great.

### 3/5 — Added feature needed

*2013-10-03, version 1.3*

Please add fingerlings for 4 valve tubas and euphoniums. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Needs an update

*2013-01-22, version 1.2*

I play a Bb euphonium in the Salvation Army and the books are written using Treble Clef. But using this app I have to use Trumpet in order to get Treble Clef because the other 3 options are using the bass clef. Also, there should be a way to choose the note by typing it in instead of sliding your finger.

### 4/5 — Good App

*2013-01-05, version 1.1*

This app helped me out with my trumpet music, I recommend it.

### 4/5 — Helps a lot

*2012-03-25, version 1.0*

I play the flute so it really helps me friend me I'm cam045

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Zero stars

*2012-09-10, version 1.0*

Opens up fine but then crashes upon picking the instrument

### 2/5 — Not that good

*2022-04-29, version 2.0.0*

It does not teacher you stuff and just shows you the notes and how to play them but it does not tell you if you are playing to wrong or right.

### 2/5 — Not a tuning app!

*2019-06-16, version 2.0.0*

I type up tuning for trumpet and this is what a got!!i think it is a bit of a scam I won’t recommend this to any of my friends!

### 2/5 — Place more notes

*2018-11-02, version 2.0.0*

This app would have been perfect to help me with my trombone, but unfortunately it only has hole notes, and for instant I need b- flat, but it only has B. So, if they put more trombone notes on that app or had an update, the app would be perfect.

### 2/5 — Well Made but Lacking Features

*2012-11-25*

Downloaded for the trombone slide positions, but disappointed on two fronts: firstly it doesn't include half positions so is not accurate for high register notes, and secondly has quite a limited range only going as high as Bb below middle C, so actually includes mostly notes that you are likely to know how to play anyway. Would be much better expanded into a higher range as these are the 'unusual' notes that a player is more likely to need to look up.

The latter point may well be true for the other instruments but I can't really comment as I don't play them!

It would be nice if you could select a note by touching/dragging across the stave too, rather than cycling through every note in order.

Another great addition would be to be able to hear an audio tone of the note to assist with pitching.

Hopefully an update will add these features and then you could double the number of stars in my review.

What is here is slick and well made but lacking some very useful features.

### 3/5 — Brass

*2025-07-29, version 2.0.0*

I think it’s a nice straightforward app but it would be better if you could hear the notes

### 3/5 — Needs different pitched instruments

*2019-06-04, version 2.0.0*

Maybe add, CC tuba, Eb Tuba, F tuba. And 5th and 6th finger attachments. And F/Gb attachments for the trombone

### 3/5 — More instruments

*2019-06-03, version 2.0.0*

Could you make this for clarinet as well?

### 3/5 — Update

*2017-10-24, version 1.3*

Please update this app!!

### 3/5 — New instruments

*2016-01-25, version 1.3*

I would like it if you added a French horn because I can't find any apps that have a French horn use

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cool app

*2023-10-21, version 2.0.0*

I’m really enjoying this app

### 5/5 — This app allowed me to keep playing my insturment

*2019-06-21, version 2.0.0*

I just wanted to say this app helped me so much. In a very real way it allowed me to continue my music passion. I play trumpet pretty badly, and I could never get into the upper register. The book I had only had one fingering for each note, and I could never hit it. After looking on the app, however, I used a different fingering, and can now with a lot less difficulty hit the notes I need to. I just wanted to thank the creators so much, and while much of this is more me than other customers, I just really wanted to say thank you.

### 5/5 — Needs better range in the French horn

*2019-06-03, version 2.0.0*

The French Horn only has about an octave and a half of range on the app, but it’s actual range is four octaves. Also, the notes are all in single b flat horn, as opposed to double horn. Everything else is pretty cool though and whatnot

### 5/5 — Amazing, helpful app!!🎺🎺

*2019-05-06, version 2.0.0*

I’m a beginner trumpet player and I just needed a simple fingering app. I was very surprised to see how simple but useful this app is. Thanks soo much for this great app! It’s so nice it doesn’t have ads.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-11-29, version 1.3*

This helped me with my trumpet fingerings, thank you

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-02-16, version 1.3*

This app is the best trumpet fingering chart app overall in my opinion. It has a far larger range than trumpet+.

### 5/5 — excellent app

*2013-12-10, version 1.3*

Excellent app

### 5/5 — Cool

*2012-03-23, version 1.0*

Nice design, a good idea and really useful for people like me who are learning the trumpet

### 4/5 — Pretty great!

*2020-09-04, version 2.0.0*

I play a LOT of brass instruments. The only reason why I didn’t put 5 stars what that I wish there were more higher notes for the French Horn :( otherwise super great app and I totally recommend!!

### 4/5 — Good but could be better

*2019-06-03, version 2.0.0*

Love the idea but there could be an amazing app built out of this if the idea is taken a little further. Three things that it needs to be super helpful to all brass players worldwide:
1. Add euphonium, bass trombone, etc for more instrumentation to meet the title “Brass Notes” to go across every common brass instrument.
2. Transposing would be wonderful. Like if I play trumpet and want to help my younger trombone player hear pitches, it would be nice to select trombone notes and see trumpet fingerings. Just makes it much more flexible.
3. I play trombone. And you need to add the trigger notes because there are some low notes that you cannot reach without a trigger which makes some of the positions you give false.
All in all wonderful app but with updates it will be perfect!
