It does a great job with all types of ads and has excellent privacy features. The current version does have a bug that can prevent pages from loading. I discovered the fix is to close the current tab and open a new one when that happens. ### 4/5 — Almost perfect *2026-08-24, version 1.93* If we could toggle the gesture that switches tabs by swiping on the toolbar off, that’d be perfection. Every time I switch to another app and come back it has swapped to another tab. The Brave browser on PC is far more customizable, for instance changing the wallpaper and color of the search bar as well as adding our own personalized news interests. When watching Youtube on the mobile site, the ui completely disappears. When changing the settings to request the desktop site, it looks normal, but you cannot fullscreen the video. Now, you are UNABLE to switch Youtube to desktop site, and there is no ui at all. Also, please add closed captions in fullscreen. Right away I put in where am I and the search showed my gps location. So I went to my settings and I still have apples private relay on. So I asked the search how do you know where I am. And the same site popped up and it said it didn’t know where I was I would have to enable brave location sharing which I didn’t. I keep turning all the private data options off and when i got to a new tab they're turned back on. (Edit: Its even worse, now whenever i click the privacy data options off then click out of setting and click back into setting these options will be on. So now leaving the settings leads to the options being turned back on. Cant get more shady than this) Every time I click this app i go to the settings to turn off the ai and the anonymous data options because they will ALWAYS BE ON BY DEFAULT. These data collecting options being on by default should show anyone that keeping your privacy is at the lowest on their list of priorities. However, when you do this, it forces the search to be with DuckDuckGo - which is a frankly garbage search engine.
