### 5/5 — Finally!

*2025-04-14*

I can’t put into words how excited I am to have found this plugin! I love Brave search but iOS doesn’t allow it to be set as a default search engine. This plugin redirects all search queries made in Safari and Spotlight to Brave search. It does that job flawlessly for me.

### 5/5 — Very simple, yet effective

*2025-04-09*

Thanks for this extension.

I have been waiting for almost a year for Brave to release something similar, but sadly they failed.

### 5/5 — Waited for this

*2025-03-13*

I’ve been waiting a while for a Brave search engine plugin. I bought one a while back that had many other features, and it was just a broken mess that hardly worked. This extension seems to do just what it says it will.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Images and Thumbnails don't show

*2026-04-19*

Kinda works, but images and tumbnails don't show so I really don't know what I'm clikcing on. Useless until this is fixed

### 1/5 — Privacy Policy

*2026-03-05*

In developer’s own words:Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

**Developer response:** Hi, this is policy boilerplate disclosure and required for App Store publishing, it does not reflect so in the code and I did not write that so thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I have updated our policy to reflect more accurately, there is no user data preserved whatsoever. Hopefully, this should reflect in the App Store shortly.

If you need to know for sure, the code is open-source and available. Feel free to ask any of the AI agents if we collect any data, if you are not familiar with code. It can be found here:

### 2/5 — I had wanted to use and like it. . .

*2026-03-28*

However it appears to block too many verification actions on websites that I frequently use and know worked just fine before I installed it. Alas.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I introduced some fixes for these use cases. Give it another shot!

### 4/5 — Works as intended

*2026-07-08*

Excellent app, works exactly like intended. One nice feature that could be added in the app itself is to preserve your search engine settings, like turning off the usage metrics.

### 5/5 — George

### 5/5 — Raiders

### 5/5 — Ig

Good

### 5/5 — Makes my life easier

*2026-05-09*

I really only use the browser on my phone, and this makes it so seamless to use Brave. It’s also so quick, there’s no extension lag! Brave is just a superior search to safari and google, I don’t have to worry about my data being sold and the AI summaries are great. Download this once and never have to think about it again!

### 5/5 — True story

*2026-05-06*

The app does what it says it does.

### 5/5 — Ceo

## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Thank you so much!!!

*2026-03-19*

Brave is always the default search engine I use everywhere and this extension is severely underrated, thank you for making it ^^

### 5/5 — AMAZING

*2026-01-30*

100% needed

### 5/5 — Doing the Lord’s work

*2025-08-20*

Thank you. Why Apple doesn’t let us choose our own search is beyond me, but thank you for making this. Brave search is quite good but it’s hard to leave Safari, this works perfectly.

### 5/5 — A Quiet Revolution in Search Privacy, Thank You.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brenden,

This extension is more than a tool, it's a statement. In a time when even everyday digital actions are surveilled, profiled, and monetized, Braver Search offers something rare: a return to user agency without demanding heavy technical lift.

For those of us who've faced real-world corporate espionage via MDM configurations, iCloud-linked tracking (now researched found through air tag devices created to be your hardware), and quiet digital overreach, this isn’t just a utility, it’s a line of defense. Redirecting search traffic might seem simple on the surface, but in practice, it's one of the few ways left to reclaim intent in a system that constantly predicts and nudges behavior.

You’ve built a foundation for something powerful. Not bloated, not preachy.. just focused, functional, and fast.

Suggestions from (NexMind):

~ /Session-based Redirect Profiles
Let users define different search redirection modes: financial tasks, job applications, research, etc.

~ /Tailored to privacy sensitivity.
Automatic Session Expiry / “Burn After Browsing”
Optional feature to clear session traces after a specified time or window close.

~ /Privacy Behavior Tagging
Allow users to tag their browsing session’s intent (“anonymous research,” “secure login,” “general”) to influence redirect behavior or shielding.

~ /“Stealth Mode” Toggle
A single switch that ramps up anti-fingerprinting, referer stripping, and cookie deflection while active.

~ /Real-Time Traffic Obfuscation Layer
Lightweight query mutation or randomized decoys to confuse fingerprinting or telemetry attempts without breaking search functionality.

This is exactly the kind of elegant, actionable work we need in a time of dark AI patterns and ambient digital manipulation. You’re not just offering a different browser behavior, you’re offering a different future of interaction.

Thank you for being ahead of the curve. Keep going. Privacy isn’t a luxury, it’s becoming survival.

“May the light prevail.”
