As a professional driver, this app has become a valuable tool in my daily routine. It helps me learn my area better and gives me a clear visual understanding of where I’ve traveled throughout the day. One of the biggest benefits for me is accountability. If there are ever questions about routing or whether I was directed correctly, I can review my actual path and have clear documentation. That gives me confidence when discussing routes with dispatch or management. I also like reviewing my day at the end of my shift. It gives me insight into how I’m being utilized as a driver, how efficient my routing was, and helps me stay oriented while I’m working. It’s almost like a daily performance snapshot. The only improvement I would suggest is making the route tracking more precise so it follows the road exactly. It should be a crime that they are even using the word Breadcrumbs in their App Heading. They should be called, ‘As The Crow Flies’, and I have all the screen shots. No Breadcrumbs to be found at all, just point to point, so if your looking for something like I was your out of luck with this app and you should erase it asap, not just because in my personal opinion that its Not Worth it but they are also tracking you if you don’t. I have a small Garmin GPS but i wanted something I could use on my phone, so trust me, this is not it…..They have a long way to go…. Breadcrumbs is a passive location history app - it records where you've been throughout your day, automatically and in the background. Think of it as a personal map diary rather than a real-time navigation tool. The numbered points you saw connected by lines represent your actual path, logged without any effort on your part. If you were looking for turn-by-turn breadcrumb navigation or a continuous real-time trail, you're right that Breadcrumbs isn't that - and I'm sorry the description didn't make that clearer upfront. That's on me, and I've since updated the app description to better explain what the app actually does. The purpose of the application is to collect your location when in the background. The app description in the app store clearly states that. Only then you will get the full intended functionality. Having said that, you indeed can have it set to while using only. The application is not forcing you in any way to allow it for the background. If you select while using only, the application will record your location only "while using", that is, when it is in the foreground. Please let me know if this helps. Thank you! ### 5/5 — one of my favorite apps, great for traveling *2023-05-29* amazing app, I tried a few others before settling on this one, it keeps track of where I’ve been continuously and is pretty accurate overall. It also uses very little battery life compared to the other apps I tested. The app is very reliable and just continues working without any issues. Another good feature is it saves your entire history, unlike another app that I used before which charges subscription if I wanted to view any history beyond more than a month.
