It’s not working for couple of weeks now... ### 4/5 — Good alternative, still flawed *2020-02-04, version 1.4.4* Ever since my old schoolloop app kept crashing during every use, I have been using this one. The best part about break is it gives you the ability to alter your grades to see exactly how certain assignments will impact your grade. However, my main concern with this app is that the “locker” feature seems to be broken. Instead of being able to open any of my teachers’ files, I am faced with a screen full of unresponsive documents. Additionally, this app is unable to send loop mail, so I find myself resorting to the official schoolloop website in times of desperation. Overall, this is a very convenient app if you just want to see your grades. I hope future updates will fix these missing features so Break can definitively be the better alternative for students. ### 4/5 — Awesome! *2019-05-31, version 1.4.4* I just got this app, and I think it is going to be a lot better than the regular school loop app. One small thing that could be fixed is to make everything easier to read. For example, the regular app uses gray text instead of black for the less important parts. When I’m reading my list of courses, I don’t really need to know which teacher is teaching the class, so that part can be less obvious. Then the other more important parts would pop out more. Again, looking forward to using this app. ### 4/5 — Better than official app, missing some details *2019-05-23, version 1.4.4* I do think that this is much better than schoolloop's app, but assignments don't list how many points they are worth nor what weighting category they are in. A killer feature would be to add a button on a current assignment to let you theoretically see how it would affect your grade, letting the user input a number of points given and all of that. However, I still use the regular school loop app for everything else because of its appearance. This app does not look that great: some colors for classes are very similar, the UI is bland, and the items are close together. If I could suggest a couple of features, I might say to add the ability to change the color of specific classes. I would also appreciate if the point value for assignments and the period they belong to are visible on the assignments page. But love the features of the app. Also some of the buttons to edit your grade are hard to press. Maybe you should have to click on the assignment then change the grade easily. And when you add assignments you should have it the same way. So it’s easier to choose categories instead of trying to click on a little area on the screen. If it were to be updated any time soon, a couple nice things to add would be widgets, and a better design. App says it doesn’t exist. I retry for several times . Now schooloop says my password has been reset and I can’t even access my email to change it. App needs more development and privacy changes. Loved the ability to see how badly I could “afford” to do on tests if I was too lazy to study. Thank you to Saagar from a fellow Bay Area brown boy for creating such an amazing, easy to use app. ### 5/5 — AMAZING APP!!! *2021-08-12* I was recommended this app by a friend and it is AMAZING!!! It does exactly what he told me it did and was what I needed. It’s also much easier than putting all my assignments into an excel file and doing the calculations myself.
