Thank you ZFB for being my break up buddy/coach/friend. I am indebted to you for this app! There is one teeny bug with the pep-peps not working (even when toggled on). I love all of the upbeat messages and the different things to read through based on how you are feeling. My favourite part was the ‘pep peps’ that sent a message a day to get you through the hard times. I reached out for this app 6 months ago, and unfortunately this feature is no longer working 💔 I tried emailing the email address listed but got no response. My guess is that it’s not fully compatible with the current iOS system :( I really loved this app, and with the full features believe it’s worth every cent. ### 3/5 — Good to an extent *2020-08-17, version 1.2.1* The daily reminders get cut off in your preview screen, and when you swipe it doesn’t follow through so you can read the rest. For the significant amount you pay for the app, the output is a little underwhelming. There’s some fantastic quotes and motivational tips to get you through - if you can read them before your screen cuts them off. Once you’re in the tips and motivational quotes are great, for about a week. Then it’s a little repetitive. There isn’t anything of substance that’s going to get you through a full on break-up. ### 5/5 — Love it *2020-04-04, version 1.2.1* Absolutely love the app but I haven’t got a pep-pep since the 1st April. I am 23, and was dumped by the guy I thought I was going to start a life with. This app acts as your best friend, and changes your mood in an instant. I have never felt so proud to be alone, this app is perfect. Thank you Zoe :) ### 5/5 — Worth every cent *2020-01-25, version 1.2.1* My partner only broke up with me a couple day’s ago but the advice in this app has really helped me to feel normal and grounded. The pep peps keep me going every day and I read them over and over. The only issue I have is the ‘Text your Ex’ section. I just wish you could save the your ex’s name and not have to type it in every time. When writing a big message, what you’ve typed gets hidden and it’s difficult to go back and add things. I would also like if you could send multiple texts and be able to see them, at least until you enter out of that section. Other than that, it’s been really great and I’m sure will continue to be my biggest asset and ally in continuing the long journey to being okay :) ### 5/5 — The support I needed *2019-09-28, version 1.2.1* This app really helped me to not feel crazy during a breakup. It was the kind words, support and realism that I needed to hear. The daily reminders are ultra helpful to keep perspective and focus on your growth. And there’s info on every feeling following a breakup. I can’t recommend this app and the book enough. I still have the daily reminders sent to me 6months on because they include such positive messages for healthy self confidence. It’s been one of the many tools that have made a world of difference. ### 5/5 — Best app ever *2019-09-14, version 1.2.1* This app honestly helped me through so much. It's reassurance and guidance that you didn't think you even needed. However, the app doesn’t get my time zone correct so pep talks are sent at night!? Same pep talk sent 3x in a row. Also, the amount of quotes in the SOS is tiny give the app prive. Would have liked seeing more quotes. The text the ex function got some bugs. Empty messages are repeatedly sent without me clicking send. Cannot see my text because it disappears the second I click send. Would have been great reading my thought after. Also, the texting format is strange because the sens button overlaps the text box so I never see the words I typed when I reach the right side of the text box. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waste of money and time *2025-11-13* Apple denied my request for a refund, even though I spent literally less than one minute in this app. The app is useless, aside from the feature where you text your ex except it also crashes constantly as you try to navigate between different parts of the app. Honestly it offers nothing except the same breakup comfort that’s already online, charging $7 for this is truly insane. ### 1/5 — Not great *2023-06-08, version 1.2.1* Deleted after a day almost. Thanks, Jess ### 1/5 — Needs updates *2020-06-24, version 1.2.1* I love Zoe and her style of writing. All of the advice she gives on the app is really helpful. The only thing I will say is I wish I saw before I downloaded it, that it hasn’t been updated in 3 years. You can tell. The coolest feature is the ‘text your ex’ page where you can send fake messages to get them off your chest. There could be a couple of improvements made here, like the messages you send not disappearing straight away and being able to see what you are writing as you type. ### 1/5 — Absolutely ZERO Customer Support! *2019-12-27* For whatever reason, I have not received a single pep pep since purchasing the app. I immediately emailed the address provided on the website but received no response or acknowledgement. I then proceeded to email them 11 more times across the past almost 2 months. The closest thing I’ve received to a response is just an auto response about not giving out personal relationship advice. None of this outreach includes the instagram outreach I’ve done as well. STILL NO RESPONSE! At this point, I’m sick and tired of it and just want my money back NOW. It’s incredibly unfortunate too because my friend had spoken VERY highly of it, especially the pep peps. I think it could have been a wonderful resource for me, but at this point my frustration with the lack of consideration and acknowledgement of the customers has reached the boiling point. Within two days (less than 20 mins each time) I had explored as far as the app goes. The text to ex function doesn’t work properly and the pep peps aren’t working at all. Disappointed given how much the app costs. When it works it’s brilliant but I’ve tried re-downloading it and tried it on a different phone. Without these features it’s just meh and not worth the cost. Really hoping they fix it!!!! He didn’t reply because he was done with it. The next morning I was crying because I remembered this one time he and I downloaded an app that would help us merge our schedules. Like a couples app. So I thought to myself, I wonder if there is an app to get you through a break up? And I was right! There is one. This one. And it’s great! It’s been 3 months since the break up and I still look at this app every day and it helps so much. It has inspired me to use the break up wisely. To introspect and redirect my life into a more positive space. It has also made sue that I don’t text my ex or give my sense of dignity away. I feel thankful!
