Over the course of a year I haven't even came close to $10 ### 4/5 — Cool app, but withdraws are unavailable? *2023-10-18, version 3.1.4* It’s a nice app, however there’s no more badges to earn after a certain point. The ones that say coming soon haven’t came out in months. Scrolling down isn’t possible which blocks access to certain links. Also paypal payout is only available maybe 10% of the time, which makes me suspicious this app constantly runs out of money. It’s also weird how a bunch of negative reviews keep disappearing from the App Store talking about the same issues as I. 2 stars for working some of the time. I waited some days and now it says “Be back soon” , hope this isn’t a scam .. because how come it doesn’t work when I make the certain amount of money ? However, SportsHi has done an amazing job connecting me to various programs and scholarships. The app is easy-to-use and has a great user interface. Earning scholarships, connecting with other student-athletes, and learning more in your desired field is made easy with SportsHi. It is unbelievable to see such a supportive and hard-working community of students come together through SportsHi. The new edition of the daily contest wheel adds more excitement to the app. I have noticed many students who have continued to pursue their passions in football, soccer, basketball, dance, and more. Also, I appreciate how the app is somewhat shifting towards, also, helping students interested in film, art, and theatre. But this app has helped those students pursuing an athletic career grow and improve themselves. Not only SportsHi but social media in general. Social media has been a way for young athletes to share about there process and successes. By sharing things about themselves, they can gain fans and be the person they can look up to athletically. ### 5/5 — Every high school student NEEDS to download this app! *2022-01-30, version 2.11.2* Anyone in high school needs to download this app!! I was researching business and marketing internships for high schoolers when I stumbled across the SportsHi Ambassadorship Program. As someone who is thinking of pursuing marketing, I thought this would be a great opportunity to see what it’s all about. I applied for the program and downloaded the SportsHi app which became one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! The ambassadorship program provides hands-on tasks every two weeks where I was able to explore and learn more about the different aspects of marketing. The SportsHi app was incredibly useful as a high school student and completely exceeded all of my expectations. It includes different pages of scholarship opportunities, sports related content, volunteer opportunities, internship opportunities, you name it. The SportsHi community however, is the most valuable discovery I have made. I am able to connect with students around the world sharing the same passions in sports as me, and the community itself is so inclusive and helpful. I find new opportunities presented to me every single day through this app, many even created or shared by students themselves! SportsHi has truly created such a positive impact on my life, every high school student needs to download this app asap. And to those who do not play sports, the SportsHi app still allows you to discover amazing scholarship, volunteer, and internship opportunities! Best. They reduced student prizes on the games from $500 and $250 to $10 and $5. Not to mention when you want to cash out on your earning half of the good options such as amazon, and paypal are never available. ### 1/5 — PayPal feature always messed up *2023-10-08, version 3.1.4* Everytime I finally earn money in my wallet, the PayPal cashout feature always says “be back soon” I have money in my wallet for a month now I haven’t been able to withdraw. As a former “SportsHi” ambassador from 2019, I’m shocked by the recent updates. How do you expect students to have IDs? And how could you make an assumption that most children are allowed to use their parents’ IDs? I for one know I can’t. This situation should also be the least of my concerns too— seeing as I still haven’t received a letter of recommendation from the CEO. Which is somehow is more understandable than the reason behind these new updates. Edit: Okay, I’m not exactly sure if I could even call myself “a former ambassador” seeing as after completing all of the required tasks, I received no update on my ambassador status. Whether it was completed, etc. Which is another question that needs to be brought up. What happened to y’all’s communication emails? 🤨 ### 1/5 — Pointless *2023-02-15, version 3.0.4* Wants me to “verify my account” in order to do contests and get badges but I’ve yet to get an email from them about it and tried to email them and nothing. This has been going on for almost a month now, and it’s definitely not no glitch, I’ve done the weekly updates for this app every time it wants me to update ### 1/5 — app doesn’t work anymore *2022-12-07, version 2.16.6* Ok so i got this app around october i used it for 1 day with no problem at all the next day the app stopped working it’s december now and i still can’t use it please fix the app it’s a very good app but people can’t use it if you guys don’t fix the bugs issues ! ### 1/5 — Forced me to update, logged me out, won’t let me log back in. *2022-10-22, version 2.16.2* Title says it all, I was at the $5 mark for a gift card and they forced me to update the app. When i tapped it was the sign up page so i tried to log in with no success. I tried using my phone number to recover password but they never sent a verification code despite saying they did. The need help? button only leads to a create an account form which is really not helpful at all. I’ve won many scholarships thru their contests, etc. and as I have gotten an email saying to fill out a form and they will send me my earnings, it’s been months and I have not received anything. I feel like they provide a way for students to improve many of their abilities. Personally it has helped me learn more about marketing and just how it works overall. Social media allows people to connect with others in a bunch of different ways. You can talk about games, watch and shares, and it really brings people together. The reason SportsHi is such a great app is that it allows players to connect with each other, their coaches, and provides them with various opportunities, and is dedicated to exclusively sports. This app is exclusively for sports content, targeted towards student athletes, it gives these athletes a means of communication that is focused on their specific interests, and makes it easier to find relevant content. Not only is it an incredibly helpful form of social media for players, but it is also a useful tool for communication and organization for coaches by streamlining their job. In addition, the app is free compared to a variety of different apps which are paid and since the target audience is student athletes it makes sense. Overall, this app is useful for student athletes and I'd highly recommend it if you are into that kind of stuff. ### 5/5 — LOVE THE APP *2023-01-24, version 3.0.0* It has endless opportunities for students including but not limited to scholarships, job opportunities, educational and career opportunities. You also read these 3 page things, answer 2 questions, and boom, you get $1.00. There are a variety of opportunities available: Internships, Volunteering, Tutoring, etc. There are remote options available, which is useful in a time where technology is very prominent, and we are still in a pandemic. In addition to being useful for extracurricular opportunities, it also doubles as a social media app. You can post anything you like, and make new friends. The people on the app, often fellow students, are incredibly helpful and nice and will answer any questions if you have any. Breakthru is also very smart she. it comes to promotion. To encourage more people to download and use the app, Breakthru offers referrals that you can unlock when you get a certain amount of people to download the app. Overall, Breakthru has been an amazing app that has allowed me to find opportunities that I am interested in, by allowing me to filter the choices. ### 5/5 — Best app for student opportunities out there *2022-04-23, version 2.12.4* Looking for opportunities as a student has always felt more difficult than necessary. Breakthru has made this process much less difficult and extremely accessible. Breakthru is the best student career/opportunity app on the App Store without a doubt. It doesn’t matter if you are a student athlete or not there are plenty of opportunities for all types of students to be found on the app. The app is also very easy to use. This accessibility allows opportunities to be found quite easily and for students to be able to connect with other students. It makes the applying process for scholarships much easier than applying for a scholarship you may find on a site.
