## What is Breeder Techo?

Breeder Techo is a record book app for dog breeders and kennels in Japan. It is built so that a one-person kennel can start on day one without a manual. The app is in Japanese.

Record weights and heat cycles in a few taps; the app works out what to do next and prepares the ledgers required by Japanese law.

• Today: next steps from your records (heat estimates, mating days, vaccines, due dates), overdue items in red, widgets
• Record from the round ＋ at the bottom right: weight, heat, mating, pregnancy check, whelping, health, care and notes; undo within 10 seconds
• Speak to record: say "Hana 8.4 kg, Momo had a bath" and review the drafts before saving; Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight
• One notebook page per dog, with the next milestone and missing ledger fields
• Breeding from heat to handover: mating window learned from each dog's history, due date (63 days), outside sires, inbreeding coefficient (5 generations), age and lifetime litter checks, whole-litter registration with collar colors, reminders
• Nursery: puppy weight charts by collar color, night feeding alarms, warm dark colors at night
• Ledgers as PDF: animal ledger and breeding record ledger in the Ministry of the Environment reference layout, per-dam copies
• Move in from a paper ledger photo, Excel (.xlsx), CSV or Google Sheets
• Add staff sharing, sales, inventory and finance only when you need them
• Dark Mode, Dynamic Type and iPad

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 4.0.3 — 2026-09-30

Version 4.0.3 (iPhones with Apple Intelligence): speak-to-record now uses Apple Private Cloud Compute first, and Ask in the Dogs tab answers free-form questions from your kennel records. Other iPhones work as before and show why a phrase could not be read.

### 4.0.2 — 2026-09-30

Version 4.0.2: fixed "Pick from Google Drive" showing a Google account access error — the sheet is now picked directly on Google’s own screen. You can also start from "Pick from Google Drive" without connecting first. Workbooks with many tabs: dogs, customers and vaccines are each found by their content; dog imports now also read pen, pedigree, sire/dam, acquisition date and source, and the latest weight; wide vaccine tables become one record per shot.

### 4.0.1 — 2026-09-30

Version 4.0.1: tap the mic to speak a record (transcribed on the iPhone); a table view for dogs; kennel counts on Today; Google Sheets connects without the verification screen and stays connected; pick a sheet from Google Drive; import from the Google Sheets app via Send a copy; paper ledger photos turn sex symbols into Male/Female text with one-tap correction; wide tables can be shot in two halves.

### 4.0.0 — 2026-09-29

Version 4.0 rebuilds the app so first-time users can start without help: four tabs (Today, Dogs, Breeding, Ledger) and a round ＋ to record, "next steps" on Today, speak to record, a notebook page per dog, outside sires and inbreeding coefficient, whole-litter registration, the breeding ledger in the official reference layout, Siri/Shortcuts/Spotlight, optional features you add when needed, and a new icon.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-09-27

Version 3.0 rebuilds the app for iOS 27: paper ledger import by photo, puppy records by collar color, breeding age and litter checks, night feeding alarms, widgets, notifications, and compliance reminders.
