### 2/5 — Crazy expensive venues for first dates

*2026-07-29, version 5.47.1*

Guys, if you’d like to avoid venues that you could easily spend $150+ on a first date, avoid this app. You don’t get to have a say in the venue and are punished if you want to cancel after learning. The idea is cool, but their execution is bonkers and devoid of common sense

### 3/5 — A new way to get ghosted

*2026-07-16, version 5.46.0*

I loved the idea of skipping the endless small talk on apps that dwindled down eventually to nothing and match with men who were actually looking to go on a date. Unfortunately, you can’t stop people from ghosting. They may cancel or not respond to the date request which the 24 hour ban does not seem to be punishment enough to deter them. Or you’ll have a good date, exchange numbers, they’ll ask for a second date only for them the ghost beforehand. The app asks what you think of the match directly after the date when really they should ask a week later when you see what he’s actually like.

### 2/5 — Not many matches

*2026-07-09, version 5.45.0*

I’ve been on Breeze for about 8 months now and have had 3 matches. Even if I’ve been on the app every day for many consecutive days, I didn’t get any matches. It just feels like the algorithm doesn’t work. I’m giving 2 stars because the 3 dates that I’ve had were well organised.

### 4/5 — Getting better

*2026-07-08, version 5.45.0*

Improving all the time

### 5/5 — Ms

*2026-07-07, version 5.45.0*

Great

### 5/5 — Good Matchmaking

*2026-07-06, version 5.44.1*

Very good chance to meet someone and go on a first date

### 1/5 — Breeze Said I “Let My Date Down” - I Was Waiting for Him. Waste of time, money and emotional energy.

*2026-07-06, version 5.45.0*

I had a ridiculous experience with this app, and feel my time and good intentions were wasted.

I’ll break down a timeline of my short use of this app. For context I am a woman as I hear we have different experiences.

I am shown about 5 profiles. Two of them interest me so I click “go for a drink”

I later match with one of these people.

At this point I was made to pay £9.50 to confirm a date.

The only option is to go for a drink (I do not like to drink on first dates as it decreases my awareness and makes me more unsafe). But fine, that’s the only option so I accept it.

You are not able to communicate with your match at all, you just have to wait for the date.

In the meantime I am shown more profiles, I do not interact with any of them as I feel at my capacity with dating, having an upcoming date planned. I am sent frequent reminders through the app about them.

A few days before the date my date rescheduled (fine) we picked new times from the selected options.

The app picks a location for the date in my city, when I look it up it seems a bit of a loud and overwhelming place for a first date, but I accept, and am willing to be proven wrong.

Almost two weeks have passed since the match and I await the date.

A few days before the date the app tells me that the location has cancelled and it is now a “self organised date” for which they refund only half the drinks token (credit in the app, not real money I paid).

I am told to pick a location. I feel confused so select the option for my date to pick.

At this point I am very anxious and thrown off. I message Breeze the night before the date to say this, and they tell me “Hi! I'm sorry this is causing anxiety. For your Self-Organised date, [your date] still needs to propose a location, otherwise you can't confirm. If he doesn't, the date auto-cancels 4 hours before. If you get any
consequences, message us and we'll undo them.”

In the morning, nothing has been confirmed or anything so I message again and they say they will open the chat early (there is a chat that opens 4 hours before) I spend time composing a thoughtful message to my date and send it in the now opened chat.

The 4 hour window had arrived and I had not heard anything from my match or had confirmation of the date.

I opened the app to a notification saying that “I let [my date] down.”

I had been waiting for his response. The chat had been immediately deleted, the thoughtful message which I sent my date, gone.

The app incorrectly presented me as the person who had let my date down, despite me waiting for his response. I found that incredibly upsetting and unfair, and it made me feel wrongly blamed for the cancellation.

So in the end I was made to be the villain, when I did nothing wrong.

When speaking to the support chat, they told me that they “undid the consequences” which struck me as a completely bizarre response, and disregarded the emotional consequences.

Breeze say they will pass on a message to my date but I am given no way to interact with him and not allowed to send him my details to connect, or organise something. Maybe something happened with him / what was the app showing him?

I feel my time has been thoroughly wasted on this app and my good intentions taken advantage of. I found the whole experience to inspire anxiety and frankly anger, as I had been misconstrued. I feel very upset about this whole thing.

Breeze is more transactional than any of the other apps, only you don’t even get to experience a human interaction within that.

I will not be using this app again. This was one of the worst dating apps I’ve experienced. I feel disgusted at how I was treated.

### 5/5 — Best dating app I’ve been on

*2026-07-06, version 5.44.1*

This is probably the best app to be on if you’re actually looking to meet people in real life.

### 5/5 — Good and refreshing concept

*2026-07-05, version 5.44.1*

I really rate this app. It attracts people who actually want to date more seriously and to meet in person. It also has good features which help with the vetting process, for example it tells you if a potential date has had good feedback from other dates. It’s also handy that it sorts out all the date details for you and I always felt safe going on breeze dates as the bar staff always knew that I was on a first date. I would give it a try if you’re looking for something new and to actually meet people!

### 5/5 — Breeze have fixed the broken dating app model

*2026-07-05, version 5.44.1*

Limited profiles means less scrolling. Liking sets up a date. You only pay per date arranged. Takes all the extra admin out of dating apps. Just wish they had more filters for worldview.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Great mechanics zero people on it

*2026-08-04*

I used this app a lot before I realized I was just getting 1-3 profiles a day. I asked and they blamed my preferences which were very wide (think 20 years span, all types, over 5,5) etc a couple of weeks ago I started getting weekly emails that they would pause my account if I didn’t use it… I inquired how would I use it as they were given me no matches. And they again blamed my preferences, when I followed up with the stats they ghosted me. The final straw was today they gave me 2 profiles and one was MY OWN ACCOUNT.
Bye what a joke. They had a great idea behind it but they seemed to have no interest in expanding or keeping customers.

**Developer response:** We are really sorry to hear that you had this experience. Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are still growing our user base in New York City so despite having wide preferences, it could be the amount of profiles in your match rounds are limited. We are working on growing our user base in NYC and hope to be able to show you more profiles soon!

### 1/5 — Boring and superficial pretending it’s better

*2026-07-31, version 5.49.0*

Just another swiping app but with incredibly limited options and the no chat gimmick just means wasting time and money meeting someone with whom you have nothing in common if you can find anyone off 3-5 mediocre profiles a day.

### 1/5 — Let us do our own selection

*2026-07-16, version 5.46.0*

The app imposes 2-5 “matches” on you to choose from with no regard to your preferences. Then you have to hope one of these “matches” feels like you’re match and signs up to a date at a chosen location (always a bar, though you might not be a drinker). This could have been executed so much better. But it’s like someone in the room decided “how can we make this good idea suck?🤔”

### 1/5 — Misleading and defeats the whole purpose of the app

*2026-07-14, version 5.46.0*

Breeze advertises that it organises the date, but after matching in Canterbury I was told they currently have no partner venues there, so I had to organise it myself. If a city has no venues, it should be removed or clearly marked before users match and pay. Support just repeated the terms instead of addressing the lack of transparency.

### 1/5 — Big let down

*2026-07-14, version 5.46.0*

The app advertises location venues for dates. I matched with someone but the app was unable to find a venue for the date to be held. Felt this was misleading by Breeze. Took my money and wouldn’t refund. Deleted my account. Won’t be recommending it to anyone.

### 1/5 — Dreadful

*2026-07-13, version 5.46.0*

Awful experience first time around. Second time even worse. I’ve paid for date tokens, two dates cancelled, one rescheduled yet no response.
Impossible to match with people; selection of dates very low.

### 1/5 — Frozen screen

*2026-07-12, version 5.46.0*

My app just shows a blank purple screen and not loading the app

### 1/5 — No good if outside London

*2026-07-10, version 5.46.0*

If you’re outside of London I wouldn’t bother. My area only has two venue options and neither of them are particularly nice or somewhere I would feel safe visiting as a women at night. Breeze claims they closely vet the locations, however, one of the locations in my area has only been open for two weeks so that’s clearly not the case. It’s a shame you can’t see the available locations before planning a date as you will lose your money when you have to cancel.

### 1/5 — Mianji

*2026-07-10, version 5.46.0*

Worst app.

### 1/5 — Disappointing service

*2026-07-07, version 5.45.0*

I got my phone stolen in London and when messaging the team about an upcoming date got very disappointing service. As I didn’t have a phone I didn’t have a way to get into the app to find out details. I emailed them asking what I could do. Got an unhelpful response from them so then emailed three times to atleast try and cancel the date that evening so I wouldn’t stand the guy up. They never got back to me and when I finally got back to the app I saw the poor guy had turned up with no comms from the service. They went on to ban me from the app for standing him up and have tried to reach out multiple times to try and sort it out and each time I have been told to email some one else with no response in the end. I have never had worse customer service and experience. Completely the opposite experience the app is trying to give off.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Legit dating app

*2026-08-07*

I just had my first date w/ Breeze. My date suggested to the app to change the meeting location from Bristol to the city we both live in (no point travelling); Breeze accepted this though we didn’t exchange numbers meet at a non-partner venue meaning we had to buy drinks but Breeze did refund us each half a date token. It was a good date. I definitely recommend Breeze - trust the process - it may sound unconventional compared to other dating apps but unlike endless chat that only may lead to a date - the process Breeze uses actually works - be patient if you aren’t getting matching- I waited about 5-6? Weeks before this first match & date i just had. Obviously not every date will be successful but it seems better than the common dating app experience.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your experience 🧡

### 5/5 — Fun IRL experience

*2026-08-03, version 5.49.0*

Nice way to meet new people in meaningful ways

### 5/5 — Such a refreshing way of online dating

*2026-07-13, version 5.46.0*

Personally, I hate all the texting that usually comes with online dating and much prefer to just meet up and see how it feels in person. Breeze is so different to the other dating apps and I’ve honestly found it such a relief to just go straight into dates without the faffing around with all the messaging beforehand. Such a great idea, straightforward, and well executed!

### 5/5 — Cam

*2026-07-13, version 5.46.0*

Really great app. Very interesting concept

### 5/5 — Good dating app

*2026-07-12, version 5.46.0*

I love the idea just matching and planning the date and seeing the vibe irl. Breeze makes it easier for to meet in person and date. The price comes with planning and a drink. It’s to use and I like how strict they are with cancellations so you’ll pull through.

### 5/5 — THE BEST DATING APP

*2026-07-11, version 5.46.0*

The future of online dating. Skip the boring small talk and go on actual dates.

### 5/5 — Great alternative to normal dating apps

*2026-07-11, version 5.46.0*

I have positive experiences with the app so far. The concept is amazingly executed and covers everything necessary so all you need to focus on is turning up :)

### 5/5 — Good experience

*2026-07-10, version 5.46.0*

Great experience. People in the app are genuine and wel-educated. Save me a lot of time. The only downside is the price I paid for the drink, cuz I don’t like drinking, it is always wasted.

### 5/5 — FED UP

*2026-07-08, version 5.45.0*

Overall it’s a good service. However I have a date this evening and cannot access the app despite writing emails to the helpdesk who haven’t replied. It’s not rocket science to allow people to switch on and off the app as often as they want. Currently I’m locked out and my date has no idea I won’t be showing up tonight to a venue I don’t where it is! Go figure?

### 5/5 — UM

*2026-07-07, version 5.45.0*

Met a great person
