BUT the app works fine when i put in a different number. it goes through and i can place an order. the app not working just as im about to place my 10th order seems very suspicious cause there’s really no reason why they can send the four digit code so i can confirm my order and place it. you’re looking scammy breka UPDATE: YEA THE APP IS SCAMMY after i put up this review (the one above) the problem (the one of the app not sending me an sms to confirm my order) it seemed fixed. as in a day later after i put up this review i tried to order but didn’t encounter the same issue. but unfortunately another problem appeared. this time, when i click “place order” the app opens up safari so i can authorize the payment. the problem with this is that if u leave the app (breka’s app) as in close it or even switch to another app, for whatever reason, the app cancels your order and you have to start again. so essentially even if i confirm/authorize payment when the app takes me to safari, when i open the breka app again it says my order has been cancelled. it’s a scam because this didn’t use to happen. as in for all the orders i’d placed, when it’s time to confirm payment the page to authorize payment just opened on the breka app itself. it wouldn’t take me to a browser to authorize. it’s really frustrating using this app. and it’s definitely scammy. like why can’t it work normally like it used to. why is it that just as im about to qualify for 20% off my next order im running into issues I’VE NEVER HAD, EVEN WITH OTHER APPS. it’s very scammy, very scammy ### 1/5 — Missing Items *2024-03-17, version 1.7.12* I’ve ordered from breka for a long time. I decided to order from the app and they forgot items included our loaf of bread! I’ve never had trouble before. Do not bother downloading the app it does NOTHING and is so much worse then just ordering online. ### 1/5 — Unacceptable behaviour *2024-02-17, version 1.7.12* I have always supported Breka since they opened. I get my coffee exclusively from them. Why did you find the need to charge a service charge on YOUR OWN app? Support your local baristas and dont bother with this app at all. Just feels extra jumbled and overly complicated to use. I still put up with it but it’s more annoying than sometimes worth. People who made it through the line and ordered after me got their drinks first. On top of that, they have the audacity to CHARGE A FEE TO USE THE APP. ### 1/5 — Service Fee for a Self Serve App?? *2023-02-16, version 1.7.12* Breka wants you to pay a service charge to order your own food using their app. The customer is already doing Breka a favour by placing the order without the assistance of a cashier. If anything, there should be a discount to use the app. Don’t waste your time downloading the app - place your order with a cashier and support local jobs. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Always glitches *2026-06-05, version 5.4.0* It won’t send me a code to confirm my phone. Have been unable to order for weeks. Have to use Uber which costs more. Please fix this app ### 1/5 — Sneaky *2026-05-31, version 5.4.0* When I placed an order through this app, it charged me a very high delivery fee. I then received messages from door dash with delivery updates. I was hoping this app would allow me to support breka without giving money to door dash or Uber. They are missing from the app. Search function is unreliable and doesn’t return all valid results. It no longer accepts my phone number, which it accepted before. I installed the new version, but I can never get the activation code. I'm throwing this app in the trash, and you should too. ### 1/5 — Orders randomly go to other locations, especially after app crashes mid-order *2025-09-03, version 1.12.5* Others have reported the same thing happening i.e. orders being sent to other locations than the one you selected. The restaurants can’t transfer orders either so you have to forfeit your order, pay again at a new location and/or travel across town to the other locations. Beware and triple check the app didn’t randomly change locations. ### 1/5 — App needs to be revamped *2025-08-18, version 1.12.5* The Breka has continuously gotten worse over the last year to the point where I don’t bother using it. Perhaps come up with better app where you don’t have to input phone number for each order and as long as you have a profile and a login the system should remember it.
