### 5/5 — Traditional Catholicism

*2020-04-13, version 1.8*

Great app for traditional Catholics. Would happily pay for this. God bless.

### 5/5 — Officium defunctorum

*2020-03-19*

Awesome app. One small thing: wish they had the officium defunctorum (office of the dead) among the prayers.

### 5/5 — Very good app

*2019-08-27*

This app is excellent. The only constructive comment I can make is that it include the little office of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thank you very much and God bless.

### 5/5 — Wow

*2019-03-12*

The Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate are really taking the New Evangelization seriously with this wonderful app. One improvement I’d suggest: optional alarms for alerting you that it’s time pray.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2018-07-24*

This is an excellent app and the most useful for learning the Old Office. Even if you have books, this is a useful tool for beginners to check that their ribbons are placed correctly. I once thought there was error and contacted the developer who was quick to respond. May God bless those who maintain this app!

### 5/5 — omnes latine orare nunc possunt

*2017-06-23, version 1.5*

I once tried to pray with a printed-and-bound breviary, and I was totally overwhelmed by all the flipping, etc. This marvellous app, however, prepares the entire office, including the proper prayers for feasts and Sundays and puts everything in order on one page. Abbreviations are few, which is most useful for a beginner. Several editions of the breviary are available, including the 1960 rubrics (which can be used to satisfy the canonical obligations of clergy). Numerous supplementary prayers (in Latin) are provided in the appendix.

The parallel translation is a bit tight in portrait on the iPhone, though it is acceptable in landscape. Downloads are fast and can even be stored to be prayed later offline. The display can be adjusted with respect to contrast and text size.

All-in-all, this is well worth the price, at least for those interested in the traditional Latin prayers of the Church, or for clergy following the Usus Antiquior. Many thanks to the Franciscans of the Immaculate for their app!

### 5/5 — The Divine Office

*2015-11-04, version 1.4*

Brilliant app. Simple design and layout. Parallel latin and english. One can pray the Divine Office (according to the 1960 Rubrics) with great ease! Perfect for those who attend the Tridentine Mass.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-10-19*

Just downloaded it recently and love it. I use two apps for my LOTH one is audio and then this one I read meditatively. This one is great as it allows the side by side of the Roman translation with the English. Gives you a few choices on the Rubrics and the 1960 one meets the obligation of the clerics and religious to pray the office ( cf. Summorum Pontificum 9 & 2) I highly recommend this.

### 5/5 — Excelente!

*2015-08-05*

Nota 10!

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2014-08-13, version 1.3*

Thank you for creating this app. It's really wonderful.

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2014-03-05*

This app is a nearly perfect way to always have your traditional breviary with you always. I usually use the iPad version but both are excellent. You encounter the rare typo in the English translations but it is no problem.

### 5/5 — Geo Gratias!

*2013-12-20, version 1.3*

Awesome app. Works great.

### 5/5 — Traditional Breviary for your Pocket

*2013-05-20, version 1.2*

What a wonderful way to carry around and pray the Breviary wherever you go! Many thanks to the developer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Where’s the “iPad Version”???

*2018-06-19*

The app description says that this is the iPad version of the app, but it’s not. It’s the iPhone version and your iPad has to scale it to size. I bought this *specifically* because it says it’s for the iPad.

### 3/5 — iPhone X

*2018-01-23*

### 3/5 — App Size

*2011-07-24*

I like this app; but why doesn't the view fill the whole screen of my iPad? It's a little window on the screen. Contrast with the iBreviary app.

Quite by accident I discovered a small icon on the lower right that enlarges the page.

Another question: in the settings link what is the "Dominus vobiscum" on/off button?

### 4/5 — Hmmm

*2024-03-07*

i’m not getting any younger and, although i do have an iPhone, it’s not so easy to read off of. I would love to put this app to use on my iPad. i wish there was an iPad version.

### 4/5 — Put the Little Office on here!

*2021-06-19, version 1.8*

This is an excellent app, and the texts are very smooth and easy to use, but I wish the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Officium Parvum Beatæ Mariæ Virginis) was on this app, considering it is available on DivinumOfficium.com.

### 4/5 — Muito bom!

*2020-03-29*

Aplicativo muito bom porém faltou o oficium defunctorum. Fora isso muito bom pro I phone com opções off line . Recomendo-me a vossas orações. Ir.Gema E.D.

### 4/5 — Almost there.....

*2019-05-14*

I like this application very much. I was close to giving it five stars, but there are a few tweaks that ought to be made, I think, and I sincerely hope that the developers take my suggestions.
First: add blank likes to the end of each hour. The last line is hidden by the menu on iOS and, though the last line is not necessary to see, it does make for a small distraction.
Second: add markers that tell if an hour is complete or not. This would help the user to easily see where he is in his progress. The markers should be activated either manually in the list of hours, or automatically, after the user has scrolled through all the text of the hour.
Lastly: having the ability to automatically download several weeks of the office at a time would be great.

But overall it is a great app and one that I do not at all regret downloading.

### 4/5 — Very Good

*2012-10-07*

Good App, very well for praying!
But:
Please update to GERMAN translation !!!!!!!!

Then 5 stars!

### 4/5 — Génial

*2011-08-27*

### 4/5 — iPad

*2011-08-12, version 1.0.1*

Make this for iPad please!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Breviarium Romanum

*2026-03-14*

### 5/5 — One Addition - Great App

*2025-11-20*

Love the app. Please also add Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Excelent

*2025-05-29*

Would be better with notifications and reminders to pray

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2024-08-01, version 1.9*

I was blown away by how straightforward this is, and you can even have the English translation of the readings/prayers side by side with the Latin.

### 5/5 — Thank you from an ex-friar

*2024-03-08*

I am glad you finally finished this project. I hope you are doing well.

### 5/5 — Love it!! Better than all others

*2024-02-22*

This Liturgy of the Hours has both English and Latin side by side to see the beautiful poetic prayers of old in their treasured original state. The prayers are the original prayers (unchanged, and unedited). This has really helped me to fall in love with liturgy of the hours due to the poetic and eloquent language used for the prayers, antiphones, and scripture passages.

### 5/5 — Top

*2022-06-08*

*2021-09-28*

### 5/5 — Great resource

*2021-02-23*

Been using the website and phone app for ages to compare versions and pray during Lent. Can't wait to see the next update with formatting for iPad screens.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed.

*2020-08-29, version 1.8*

Exactly what I needed. Add more prayers to the Index!!! Also, I wish there were an Android version.
