It does not do this. It’s sole purpose is to sell appliances by showing you a computer rendering of the appliance in your home. I did not realize how helpful augmented reality (AR) would be in helping me decide on my next Breville appliance until I downloaded the app and tried it out in my kitchen. Amazon offers a similar experience for a wider range of products, but Breville’s experience feels more sleek and generally seamless. The idea of the app is that it lets you see your product in your kitchen — what will it look like and will it even fit? However, the VR programming is merely Ok. It doesn’t allow things to obscure the object, so you can’t tell how it will look next to your stuff from the side, only straight on. This app has potential and seems to actually be from Breville. I’m either turning it off, taking a screenshot, my finger gets in the camera view. I hold my phone the other way to take photos. You should be able to hold the phone in either horizontal way to use.
