### 1/5 — Too confusing

*2023-05-05, version 1.1.7*

Way too complicated

### 1/5 — Only a sales tool. No operating help

*2023-02-25, version 1.1.7*

The app was recommended by the instructions that came with the appliance. The app was advertised as assisting installation and how to use. It does not do this.

It’s sole purpose is to sell appliances by showing you a computer rendering of the appliance in your home. Whether that rendering is properly scaled is a huge question.

### 1/5 — Trying to make a freaking cup of coffee

*2023-01-08, version 1.1.7*

Why is it necessary to have a fake reality 3D image of the coffee maker in my kitchen— and give read write access to ALL of my photos?? when I can look at the Actual Reality of the coffee maker in my kitchen?

Just trying to learn how to make a cup of coffee here

Waaaaay too over-engineeered app for its purpose. Let the 20-something who created go back to video gaming now…

### 1/5 — What’s the point

*2022-12-23, version 1.1.7*

Why do I need to take a picture. All I wanted was to see was how to work the machine

### 1/5 — No purpose whatsoever

*2022-12-09, version 1.1.7*

Card includes in box said to use the app for set up. It doesn’t do that. Useless.

### 1/5 — Unable to progress past photo of counter

*2022-12-03, version 1.1.7*

Unable to progress past photo of counter step.

### 1/5 — Ridiculously bad app

*2022-11-28, version 1.1.7*

Not really sure it was worth the time to download. I tried it, it sucked. Moving on with my life.

### 1/5 — What’s the app for?

*2022-11-26, version 1.1.7*

I already own the Breville bambino plus, why would i like to see how it looks on my counter? And where do i go after i put it “virtually” on my counter. I got the app because there’s a card in the product box that says, get the app and easy step-by-step 3d interactive set up. Hmmm think i just downloaded a glorified shopping site.

### 1/5 — Dumb app

*2022-08-29, version 1.1.7*

This app is for buying things. New product I received came with a flyer that said to download the app. Why? The app doesn’t let me register my product, or connect to my product. Pointless

*2022-08-27, version 1.1.6*

Doesn’t work.

### 1/5 — App

*2022-04-17, version 1.1.6*

Terrible app
Doesn’t show how to use, clean, or work product

### 1/5 — Junk App.

*2021-12-26, version 1.1.4*

Absolute garbage. The promised interactive set does not exist. All you get is a confusing 3d view of the machine and nothing else. No menu to work. Just links to different products that they sell.

### 1/5 — Colors are not correct!

*2021-09-27, version 1.1.4*

The blue one is basically grey, complete misinterpretation of the real blue color of baristo pro on the website!

Absolutely useless doesn’t even show the model I purchased

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Breville App

*2026-07-26, version 1.1.9*

One big circle to ‘view’ the appliance on my table.
No. Not. Helpful.

### 1/5 — A baffling failure

*2025-06-16, version 1.1.9*

There is zero explanation for how to actually arrive at the “explain to me how to set up this machine” part of the “how to set up this machine” app. The upside is that the app’s logo looks nice.

### 1/5 — Bambino Bes500

*2025-02-20, version 1.1.8*

Cannot get any further than 3D image on screen of iPhone. How does one progress beyond this move?

### 1/5 — Set up

*2024-07-12, version 1.1.8*

The app it’s difficult to use

### 1/5 — Confusing app

*2024-05-05, version 1.1.8*

All I can mange to do is see a halogen of the product I select and spin it 360 degrees, no instructions or set up guide.

### 1/5 — Cannot find the Kitchen Wizz 8 plus

*2024-05-03*

Cannot find the Kitchen Wizz 8 plus in the app

### 1/5 — What is the point of this app?

*2024-01-11, version 1.1.8*

Other than a virtual picture there are no instructions or any useful info

### 1/5 — Doesn’t have the red version of the appliance I like specifically because it comes in red

*2023-12-10, version 1.1.8*

Doesn’t have the red version of the appliance I like specifically because it comes in red

### 1/5 — Seems to do nothing

*2023-11-16, version 1.1.8*

Needs some instructions to clarify how to show product

### 1/5 — Product not found

*2023-09-07, version 1.1.8*

The app seems good but the mixers are not available.

## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great Visualizations

*2023-02-17, version 1.1.7*

I have been a fan of Breville products for a long time. I did not realize how helpful augmented reality (AR) would be in helping me decide on my next Breville appliance until I downloaded the app and tried it out in my kitchen. Amazon offers a similar experience for a wider range of products, but Breville’s experience feels more sleek and generally seamless. The app fulfilled its intended purpose of helping me decide if their products actually make sense in my kitchen.

### 4/5 — Screenshots not good enough to get spousal approval of yet another object in the kitchen

*2021-02-10, version 1.1.4*

This sort of helps me make a purchasing decision but it’s not as useful as it could be. The idea of the app is that it lets you see your product in your kitchen — what will it look like and will it even fit? However, the VR programming is merely Ok. It doesn’t allow things to obscure the object, so you can’t tell how it will look next to your stuff from the side, only straight on.

This app has potential and seems to actually be from Breville.

However... screenshots look really weird and are not good enough to get spousal approval!

### 4/5 — What’s it’s purpose?

*2020-12-15, version 1.1.4*

It downloaded just fine, and shows me appliances. Is that it? I thought it was going to tell me something.

### 2/5 — Toggle orientation

*2020-02-01, version 1.1.4*

You can only hold the phone in one orientation, I’m right handed so hold the phone with my left hand. I’m either turning it off, taking a screenshot, my finger gets in the camera view. I hold my phone the other way to take photos. You should be able to hold the phone in either horizontal way to use. The app looks ok but I kept turning off my phone!
