Everyone experience that I reached out to said start learning and using this app. Great advice, after brewing a few times my comfort levels have sky rocketed. Best all in one brewing app that I found pretty simple to use too. Now I can just focus on getting my SOP’s down with my brewing equipment. Not only is there an extensive library, integrated timers, ridiculously easy to follow yet detailed instructions but there are so many features that I’ve barely even begun to explore. I’ve just started compiling my own brew recipes and the intuitive interface makes it an absolute breeze to calculate everything you need and the pH/SG levels come out as predicted ever time. I cannot rate this app highly enough! ### 5/5 — Excellent *2024-03-29, version 2.10.6* I’ve been using Brewfather since the beginning, having used virtually all the brewing programs available. This is the best in my experience. I bought into the Brewtools equipment world and the integration is getting better all the time. If you have a brewtools system its now a no brainier with good and improving integration with the Brewtools cloud. This app deserves a review. This app is nothing short of awesome. I depend on this app for brewing and improving my brewing ability. With the app being in the cloud, I can obtain access to this on whatever computer I am on. The UI is beautiful, the integrations are great (I use iSpindel), the support by Thomas is awesome, Inventory is easy to maintain, recipe design is easy, brew day flows wonderfully, profiles are easy to create/maintain, water calculations are spot on…again you cannot go wrong with this app. One last thing, support the app and the developer, buy the yearly subscription, its “cheap” for what you get. I’d pay much more for the app and still be very happy! ### 5/5 — Super App, macht Spaß. *2023-05-10* Alles top, nur leider gibt es noch nicht die Nactar-Hopfen-Funktion. Bei der Hopfenauswahl stehen nur die normalen P90-Pellets zur Auswahl. Thank you. ### 2/5 — Not a good bang for your buck *2025-11-06, version 2.20.2* I’ll start off by saying have been brewing beer for about 11 years pretty consistently at home. I have 10 kegs, and a massive kegorator.. I used this app back when it was wayyy cheaper and unfortunately in the last few years it’s doubled in price. No loyalty for longer term users. At first I enjoyed the fact that it would calculate automatically, but there is not replacement for a coil notebook and some hand made calculations. Don’t waste your time with the $40 a year, just learn how to do it on your own. Honestly the app wasn’t even that accurate anyway, I had a ton of notes for most of my beers anyway. I love how you can scale recipes and the brew day steps outlined. But since the last version update, my app won’t load. It gets stuck. I would have contacted the developer instead of writing a review, but in order to email you need to open the app. **Developer response:** This is due to a bug in iOS 16.7.3. To fix it reinstall the app or upgrade to iOS 17. Apple will also fix it in a future iOS 16 update. Contact hello@brewfather.app if you require assistance. Constant weird screen glitches when adding ingredients. Fix and its near perfect ### 3/5 — OK for planning, unfortunately unreliable during brewing *2022-02-16* As good as the Webversion on the Desktop is, I cannot really trust this iOS "port". If you use the timers during brewing and your device goes to sleep, notifications don't seem to wake up the device, hence you will miss them. If you are lucky and the device is awake and the App open when a notification is due, you will get two simultaneus alarm sounds: one from the popup in the App, one from the schedule notification. Furthermore, the App steals the sound output immediately when you open it. Hearing podcasts or music during brewing is not possible. It has a modern UI, that is sleek and easy to use. It is a web app, so you can load it on your phone, tablet and computer and all are in sync for your brew day, which makes it very convenient. This app is loaded with features and it consistently being added and improved. I cannot say how great this app is, one of the few that I give 5 stars to. BF allows me to plan out batches months in advance, monitor and plan my inventory and keep ingredients stock low and efficient using the negative inventory function. And adjusting on the fly using the tools allows for less errors.
