I can’t get this to work properly, sometimes I can add a photo from my library other times I can’t. Don’t even get me started on trying to edit a picture. Please fix the issues with Brewmaster. iPhone 12 Pro, latest iOS18.

The explanation of the graph is poorly presented in the brewmaster section. It would be simple to just label each part of the graph and wrote a brief description of what it means/how to use it, but we don’t get that. This would be helpful for those using flow control devices

Bought the kettle with Bluetooth to turn on the kettle from my bed. Got it today, set it up, and the app crashes every time I try to access the kettle settings. Useless.

You'll spend more time fighting this app and Bluetooth pairing than you will making coffee. 

I've already returned the scale once as it failed to pair to iOS. It worked for a month and then bombed out again. 

If you know how to weigh and time your coffee, you won't need this app. But if you were already comfortable doing that, you probably wouldn't have bought a scale advertising connectivity and an app to help you. This app and scale do neither.

Not really happy with this buggy app. Every time I click on the EKG icon it crashes wish I could actually use the Bluetooth feature as intended.

Update: it launches and doesn’t crash, since last week’s update. This was broken for the iP 12 MP for about seven months, disgraceful really. But I’m glad it’s finally working!

Saves some steps in various recipes, a decent average app that finally works :)

This app hasn’t launched for months for me, crashes on start. iPhone 12 Max Pro, iOS 14.4 (nothing on beta) Support has responded and have only been frustrating. They say they have no problems, and have nothing much else to say PS - the scale itself is fantastic :) just don’t expect a reliable or even usable app

The latest update has broken connectivity to the Stag EKG+. Every time I open the app and click on the kettle icon, the app crashes and closes. Please fix this! Thanks

The BM app was working just fine. I’ve never liked the UX, but it did it’s prime feature for my Fellow EKG+, which is that I could turn it on/off and control the temperature via the phone. 

Now that I updated to BM’s latest “Pearl 2021” update, it crashes when I click the Kettle Icon. 

I’ve been using iOS 14.5 beta since December, and it was working fine until this latest Acaia update. 

Hope you guys can release a quick fix. 

Feature Request:
Hire someone to match the quality of your scales to the quality, interface, design of your apps. The apps need work.

I was looking for a simple way to log brews. I use a kitchen scale. This is not possible with this app but it doesn’t say so in the description.

Guys. You’re too good for this. This scale is gorgeous!  I’m nerding out on the precision. But I paid $$$$ for a smart scale. And it just won’t connect. And yeah. We have 4 apps?  Please please please hire my team at Crema.us. Yes! Crema. We are coffee nerds and we design and build amazing software. I’m not sure if you’re cutting cost but this is that final step of making your customers sing your praises!!   I want to give you 10 stars. Not 1.

This app has always had issues with one of its core functions: logging brews without periodically deleting old logs. Seems like the newest update has made it even worse. Please fix guys! This is a well known, widespread issue!

This app is so upsetting that I hate not only the app but also the scale.  

There have been too many times that I’ve pressed the “Save” button only to have my new brew entry disappear from the list in less than a second. At first I thought this had something to do with special characters like “:”, “(“, or “)” in my brew name or bean name, but I think it happens most often when I have the app logged in to my account.  It seems to happen less if I’m not logged in, but then I can’t see my previous brew entries.  There have been other problems, but I feel it’s a waste of my time to list them all considering how long this app have been available and it’s still crappy.

If I knew the app would be this bad, I could have bought a much cheaper scale without an app!

The log a brew time was almost 2 min different than the scale. Noticed the seconds would periodically jump/skip. Also had an issue typing in a name for the brew, it would kick me back out to the graph screen. I’ll update my review once you fix.

スタートしてもスタートしなかったりクラッシュしたり、UIも見にくく、出力するcsvに入力した情報の全てが含まれてないなど、実用的に使おうとしても障壁が多すぎて使い物にならない。スケール自体はいいものだけに、かなり勿体無い。アプリの使い勝手とメンテナンス面で他社製のほうが良いかもしれません。

unterirdisch(!!) für den Preis der Waage. Bluetoothverbindung ist reine Lotterie. UX ist in der gesamten App ein Fremdwort. Die Anleitung zur Waage missverständlich und unvollständig. Daten eines shots werden nicht gespeichert wenn man übersieht noch save zu drücken. Autostop gibt es nicht. Die Waage ist übrigens nicht genauer als eine für 30Euro ... nur eben das design ist schöner. Ich habe das Gerät zurück geschickt. Acaia ist für mich tabu bei so einer Ignoranz gegnüber dem Kunden

Whoever designed the app may have some basic experience with graphic design, but definitely not with user interface design. Frankly all I wanted was to see what my pour rates were on a graph to practice pouring at 6-8 g/s. It was such a p.i.t.a. to do this. (((and that text soooo tiny)))

Really not even a diagnostic or basic screen just showing scale data like that BIG somewhere?

Has programming API been made available or documented? I’ll write my own.

Leider ist es trotz mehrfacher Versuche nicht gelungen, die App mit der Waage über Bluetooth zu koppeln, obwohl erst einmal alle anderen Verbindungen getrennt wurden, Neustart gemacht wurde etc. etc.

I think this app is super easy to use. It’s a great tool for tracking your morning brews! You can record your brew in real time and replicate your favorite brews.

Obviously this new version is more up to date, the app still have some room for improvement (some glitches are Inevitable) but so far it is good enough to log my daily brews. Also I must say their support team is really patient and helpful when walking through the problems I had, I’m glad that they keep improving their existing products and apps.

I use this app every day to track pour over and Espresso brewing for purposes of maintaining consistency and dialing in.

Connects just fine, easily switches between numerous scales on the fly, custom names for scales, photos as well.

Extremely helpful for pour over training. Being able to see flow rate in real time puts agitation into perspective for a lot of people right away.

Nachdem ich über Acaia-Apps an anderer Stelle sehr geschimpft habe, ist die Brewmaster-App meine Standard-App in Verbindung mit der Acaia Pearl S geworden. Nach einer Einarbeitungsphase macht diese App sogar erstaunlich viel Spaß. 

1. Erkenntnis:
Die Acaia Pearl S lässt sich über die App stellenweise sogar komfortabler bedienen als über die Waage selber. 

2. Erkenntnis:
Die optionale Ansage des Gewichts schätze ich mehr als ich dachte. 

Der Brühvorgang lässt sich sehr detailliert erfassen und bei Bedarf mit einer Menge an Parametern und Notizen füllen und sogar mit einem Foto zusammen speichern. Eine Kurve läuft per Autostart über den Brühvorgang mit. Das funktioniert gut. 

Leider erst an zweiter Stelle im Menü die Hauptfunktion „Remote Scale“, also die Fernsteuerung der Waage, Tarieren und Werte übernehmen. 

„Converter“ macht immer dann Sinn, wenn man noch einen Rest Bohnen auf die Waage wirft und ohne große Rechnerei sein ermitteltes Brühverhältnis mit dem Bohnenrest brühen will. 

Mit „Replication“, also dem möglichst genauen Nachbrühen eines gesicherten Brühvorgangs komme ich allerdings zu den Schattenseiten der App. Diese Funktion läuft so instabil und stürzt so oft ab, dass es mir bisher nur einmal gelungen ist „Replication“ zu nutzen. Zur Ehrenrettung sei gesagt: Nach Absturz der Funktion läuft zumindest „Remote Scale“ unbeeindruckt weiter. 

Leider läuft die App im Ganzen doch hin und wieder instabil. Man tut gut daran, sich mit dem Handy nicht mehr als 2 m von der Acaia Pearl S während der Aufzeichnung wegzubewegen. 

Die Anpassung an iPhoneX könnte an wenigen Stellen noch optimiert werden. 

Alles in allem aber eine gut nutzbare App, die die Acaia Pearl S doch sehr erweitert und eine Vielzahl an z.T. erstaunlich komlexen Einstellungen zulässt. Super.

There are few frustrating glitches in the app and it does take a moment to get use to it. But, ultimately, it just makes Brewing a bit more fun. I really enjoy being able to observe what is happening and record it to apply it to my next cup. I think my pour overs are getting better!
