Despite having push notifications on, there were instances that voip calls failed to ring when the app was in the background. This is loss of business. Happily switched to another app and no more lost calls. ### 1/5 — Poor quality audio *2024-02-05, version 6.14.3* Receiving constant complaints from customers about how terrible the connection/line is!!! Fix this please! ### 4/5 — All inbound calls start failing within 20 seconds *2024-02-04, version 6.14.3* All inbound calls start to decline in quality after about 10 to 15 seconds when using the mobile app. People complain it sounds robotic then the call starts breaking up pretty badly after that. This has been doing this for some time. The developers need to start from scratch if they want a half decent app. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Subscription subscription subscription *2024-01-29, version 6.14.3* Two counterparh softphone products moved from free to subscription model in last few years. Won’t be moving to the expensive subscription model but finding another free product I can use my existing VoIP service with. ### 4/5 — Decent offering but expensive *2024-01-02, version 6.14.2* Bria works for the most part however there are limitations on the free offering such as the lack of TLS and the inability to select preferred codecs. I am happy to pay for the upgrade if it was reasonably priced but it is on the higher end for me. I’m missing work calls and losing money. Contacted support waiting for help. This happens so often. When I log off and come back in it’s good for the first call only again. When it works it’s great but I have had this problem on numerous occasions. I did not have work as a contact which was my previous issue. Just trying to get someone to call me back to help with your system not working. Making me lose business ### 4/5 — Call silent *2022-05-20, version 6.8.1* iPhone 12 Pro Max v15.4 Bria connects but no voice available if I take a bria call when previously on a iPhone call. ### 4/5 — Läuft wirklich super, aber . . . *2022-03-22* Ich benutze die App als Softphone mit einer Auerswald 4000 Compact und es läuft alles wirklich sicher und zuverlässig; egal ob im WLAN oder auch extern über VPN. Doch leider spricht die App, sobald sie im Hintergrund läuft und mein iPhone mit der Freisprechanlage im Auto verbunden ist diese immer wieder in ziemlich kurzen Abständen an und blockiert somit die Musikwiedergabe vom Autoradio ohne das ein Ton oder Geräusch von der Bria-App zu hören ist. Says It needs to disable the account to make changes. Apparently it doesn’t work after I try that. Also it doesn’t support SMS. ### 1/5 — Terrible App - No Support *2021-12-29, version 6.6.3* I have been a long time user of Bria and recently received notice that my Bria 5 was no longer supported. After installing Bria Solo it will not stay registered unless I have the app pulled up on the Home Screen of my phone and therefore I do not receive calls if I am doing anything else on my phone or even when my phone is locked. The app has to be pulled up and phone not locked to work. WORTHLESS! Also no support number to call and support doesn’t respond when opening support tickets. Terrible service! ### 1/5 — Horrible Customer Service *2021-09-10, version 6.5.4* We switched to their new business model using Bria Solo last year and decided not to use it for the app being highly unreliable and unpredictable. It was a good concept, but not reliable for us. Also, the fact that you have to put all user credentials on the app is a security risk on its own. With all the security breaches going around, what makes CounterPath not vulnerable? Anyways, without notice whatsoever, we were charged for another year. We quickly signed in to cancel the service and kindly asked Bria Support to refund the charge since we did not authorize the charge this time around and it’s a product that we do not use. They replied that they won’t be refunding the charge as we “accepted the terms upon subscribing. You will receive a renewal notification in advance of the renewal date”. We never received a notification of the renewal charge, if we had we would had cancelled before hand. The ticket was then automatically closed for me to put any additional comments, so here we are now writing this 1-star review. If anyone at CounterPath cares, the ticket # is 56883. We simply want a refund. The only reason I needed it is to see presence of users in the team and who’s currently on the phone or not. This app offers none of it, except dialing your contacts from your phone. App on desktop is just as basic. Even free microsip beats this paid one in every aspect ### 1/5 — BEWARE *2025-09-11, version 6.21.1* Product is good but there is no option to opt out of auto-renew and no warning that renewal is coming up. They just charge your card and tell you about it after the fact. Complete silence from their billing team. Haven’t tried the app in fairness but 0/10 for clarity. Incoming calls come through then drop out. Terrible time! ### 1/5 — No Refund Despite Limited Functionality *2024-04-12, version 6.15.2* I signed up for Bria Solo but faced several issues. The trial expired before my VoIP number could be ported, and though it lists monthly pricing, the minimum subscription required is for a full year. Key features like SMS and reliable voice transmission were lacking; my voice quality was so poor that I was inaudible. Additionally, the voicemail system failed to recognize my caller ID. After switching to another product, I requested a refund within a month of purchase but was denied based on their policy. Many of the other apps like Groundwire and Zoiper have quite fine phone apps but nothing for iPad.
