## What is BrickHunter?

The best part of building your favorite LEGO® set is the actual build! Having to dig for pieces as you need them can be frustrating and time consuming. Knowing the complete list of parts needed to build before the build process starts allows you to gather all parts and not have to keep stopping to go searching through your collection. Think of this like a grocery list for parts required to build sets.

With BrickHunter you are able to do the following:

-> Search for official sets you want to build
-> Load all parts of the set for easy browsing
-> Have offline access to images of the parts
-> Sort parts by color, type or name
-> Mark off all or some of the parts you have gathered
-> Tap part text to look up part info to assist with gathering parts
-> Sync across all your devices using the same iCloud account
-> Tap set image in collection detail to see full image

The data in this app is powered by Rebrickable.com. Only authentic set data from Rebrickable is used by BrickHunter and your personal Rebrickable.com account is not connected to this app.

Rebrickable.com is a very powerful and extensive collection of LEGO® data and articles about LEGO® and all things related!

### 1/5 — Crash. Unusable app.

*2026-02-10*

Looks decent at first and bring Hope up to have an app that might possibly be great to help rebuild sets but this is completely useless because it just crashes. There is no use for this app. It should either be fixed or be removed from the App Store.

### 3/5 — Meh.

*2023-01-17*

Not that great. Alright, I suppose. Crashed every time I opened my projects, even though my phone is compatible with the app. I’m adding a third star because I don’t want to be that guy. If you guys update it, I’ll definitely reinstall and reevaluate.

**Developer response:** Sorry to hear you haven’t had a good experience. I am always working to make BrickHunter a solid app and spend as much time testing as I can before releasing each update. If you have specifics on the issue you are having, please reach out to me through the various contact options in the help area of the app so I can resolve things I may not have experienced in testing. Also, if interested, I’d welcome you as a beta tester to give feedback on future releases. - Jason.

### 5/5 — Great app, easy to use and super useful

*2020-12-29, version 1.0.5*

Works very well for those looking to inventory lego sets. A few upgrades needed to make this a must, but definitely does the job. Would suggest to all!!

### 5/5 — Excellent app for building

*2020-12-23, version 1.0.5*

Love this app. It saves me planning time for my mocs.

### 4/5 — Good idea but lacks ability to find MOC parts

*2020-10-31*

The app is a good idea and quite useful however it does not allow users to find the parts for a moc, only official sets. Since there are many more mocs than official sets and because Rebrickable is mainly a site for mocs, I think the app would be more useful if mocs were showed as well.

Edit: I understand the limitations now.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review and for trying out BrickHunter! I must say I completely agree! Unfortunately back in April “due to too many sites stealing our MOC data” (according to Rebrickable.com) they have removed access to MOC data such as parts lists. I would love to see this app become popular enough that we could partner more closely with Rebrickable and offer parts list data for MOCs.

### 5/5 — A fun way to manage LEGO sets!

*2020-10-29, version 1.0*

This is a fantastic solution for keeping tabs on what I need for each set. I like the fact I can manage multiple projects and sort on the fly. Searching for parts is super quick and easy to follow. Love it!

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2020-10-28, version 1.0*

Every time I’m at the lego store, I had no cell service, but having the app preloaded I can browse and track the pieces I’m looking for!

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.1 — 2024-03-03

So many changes! Please read to understand what's new!

CLOUD! Yes, this is the initial release that supports iCloud Sync! What?!? What benefit is that? You can now use multiple devices to collect and all changes are updated across devices that share the same iCloud account.

When installing on a new device, it may take a few minutes for changes to sync across, be patient and you will see the cloud icon showing the activity. If you are not signed into your iCloud account, you won't see a cloud at the top of the projects list.

Other new features in this release:
- CLOUD Sync
- Sections! The section header for the parts being looked at will stick to the top of the list, color, part category, part name.
- Lengths. Some parts are hard to tell their length when looking at an image. The longest length on those parts will now show in the bottom right corner of the image. (Mostly working)
- Added "All Projects" collecting screen. Icons in the top right corner of the part show which set it belongs to.
- Tap a part image to complete or clear its collecting
- Tap on the part text to access details and partial collection quantity. (Long press for details removed.)
- Partially collected parts now stand out with an orange glow.
- Support for iPad
- Support for MacOS devices running on Apple Silicon
- Removed support for iOS14 due to new functionality support and up-coming features
- If there is a possible color error in the image, the part border will reflect the correct color.
- Added database tools to assist in deduplicating the local database in support of iCloud functionality
- Fixed several bugs.

To all the loyal users who have supported this project, THANK YOU! This app is developed without support of ads, because, let's face it, who likes ads? There is a tip option in the settings, but you are not obligated to use it. If you choose to, it is highly appreciated, and won't be forgotten!

### 1.2.3 — 2022-08-08

If you are running iOS15, new features are coming, starting with part sorting headers for quick reference and more detail in the collection screen.

Thank you, builders, for all your support! I have many more features that I cannot wait to get into the app and out to you!

### 1.2.2 — 2022-08-02

Stepped on a brick... I mean bug that would prevent new themes from loading in the app.

The newest theme I've seen this with is the Icons theme. If the app crashes when searching for sets in the Icons theme, go into the "?" section of the app and tap "Reload Themes and Categories". I want to clean this up further and hope to get back into this app with the long list of new ideas I've received from you!

Thank you for the love, and for the amazing support from those who have found my tip jar! You keep me motivated!

### 1.2.1 — 2021-11-15

Squished a pesky bug that was found to affect users who prefer iOS 14. All good, that bug should be gone! Feel free to let us know if you find anything else out of sorts.

You tell us, and we fix it! Your feedback will help make this a great app!

### 1.2.0 — 2021-10-25

Cleaned up the UI a little bit more.
- Sharpened up some rounded edges, they seemed too round.
- Replaced "Delete" with a trash can when deleting sets. (more international - less words)

The product testing team found a small bug in how MiniFigs are handled at Rebrickable and how BrickHunter interprets them. There was a tiny possibility that a data conflict could occur quietly and would give unexpected results. This has now been fixed.
