BrickSeek was an awesome site to find cheap inventory at brick and mortar stores. This just gives you prices like you would find by simply googling, but with worse results. User interface is garbage. This app was created by an individual with a very low IQ. The home page only shows “deals” that are sales prices I can easily find on my own and it’s limited to one or two categories that are predetermined, not what I’m actually interested in seeing. Just seems weird. Not worth the space it’s taking on my phone. Sorry to see it go. ### 1/5 — If zero stars was an option… *2024-06-27* Terrible. I’m not understanding the 10 steps backwards they took with this “update.” I don’t know one person that used brickseek to search between 2 stores.. the draw to this app was the ease of searching neighboring towns, vacation destinations, etc. I definitely don’t have a need for this app anymore. If I’m limited to my 2 closest stores.. well, I frequent them enough.. Not useful. Such a shame. Maybe someone will come out with a similar app and not jack it up the way this one has. ### 1/5 — Moving towards uselessness *2024-06-14* This used to be a great way to find deals, but only because of the infinite variety available. It's now locked down beyond any usefulness, and seemingly deliberately hard to use in order that you can't get to what used to be useful. I wanted to say that I'll never buy an app that takes away free features to make them premium, because the trust is gone and I'll expect them to charge more for them later instead of innovating something new when they want more money. But the paid membership seems to be just as bad from the reviews. This app is no longer worth the 60mb it's taking up on my phone. ### 1/5 — Loss of functionality *2024-05-13* What happened… I haven’t used the app in a while and I come back and there’s literally no way to use the app based on stores now. All I can see is “Daily Deal Schedule” and if I want to look for store inventory that function is no longer available. I used to browse what my local Walmarts had in stock to see if there were any good clearance items. And the app makes it impossible by any practical means to change your location if you want to search for a region where you may be traveling. This is just about the most convoluted useless app I’ve run across in the past few years. You should also offer your customers the ability to revert back. Many of your customers were not ready for and will not support this major change. This new update is terrible and no longer have option to sort by stores. I lead the development of the app and personally monitor the support box. ### 1/5 — Pass On This App *2026-05-23, version 3.1.0* This app is mediocre at best and garbage in reality. But really it’s not something you want cluttering your phone memory and your home screen. There’s nothing special about it. We have over 20 Walmart stores in my area and it limits you to just 2. Like longer than 5 minutes to load. Ungodly slow. Please fix it so I can love this app!!! ### 1/5 — Used to be good *2025-10-12, version 3.1.0* Brickseek used to be the BEST inventory checker. Better than every store’s native website or apps (Target, Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.). You could search for items and it would show a long list of stores based on your zip code, ordered by price and availability. It even included the clearance prices making it invaluable for deal hunting. Skip to 2025 where everything somehow is getting worse in the interest of “slick” interfaces and modern styling, and Brickseek has been made nearly useless. Now you have to set your zip code in your profile, making it more difficult to search in different locations. Results only show 2 local stores. And the SKU finder doesn’t seem to have a rhyme or reason why items are listed in results. I often get results saying it can’t show any information, so I assume those are old skus for items out of stock in most or all stores. Very cool app. But the app seems to have some buttons on some of the pages, like the categories or stores, that don’t work. I had to go to the web browser to get to those sections. Not sure if I’m the only way me experiencing that. It’s takes time and patience, but if you put in the effort you can really score good deals. I went through the options of doll house deals for days, comparing prices, deals, dimensions, online v in store, etc. My final choice I scored a $229 doll house on Amazon for $84! In my opinion, the brickseek app is BETTER than the web version. As a user of the highest tier subscription, this is an absolute game changer and well worth the wait. Beautiful interface, extremely easy to navigate, quick loading times on searches, and an overall great user experience.
