Bricole is an aiming and training app for three-cushion carom billiards. Set the balls on the table and the app calculates exactly where to aim — and why. THE SHOT FAMILIES OF 3-CUSHION • Ball-first: the cue ball strikes the 1st object ball, then travels 3 rails to the 2nd — the core of the game. Bricole gives you the hit thickness and the cut angle. • Rail-first (bricole): the cue ball goes to the cushion first. Corner-5, Plus, Reverse, Cross-Table and End-Rail diamond systems give you the first-rail aim point. • Ticky and Umbrella: the shots where the cue ball touches one or two rails before the first ball. Save a position from the solver, then set it up on a real table and practise it. Every ball comes with its diamond reference; flip the diagram 180° if you're standing on the other side. Mark made or missed, undo a mistap, and see your session summary at the end. • "Save for later" — capture a position without looking at the solution • Hall-day reminder for the shots you're ready to practise • Mark shots as learned, bring them back whenever you want • Export your notebook Daily Position: ball-first days are fixed. The correct answer now always scores by hitting the yellow first, exactly as the question says, and answers are spread evenly across the three thicknesses. Undo and Finish on the practice screen no longer require scrolling. ### 1.3.3 — 2026-08-21 More routes, better aim. • Rebuilt route search — the app now finds far more playable rail sequences in the same position. Layouts that used to show two options often show five or more. • Ball-First is sharper — it finds shots it used to miss, with more forgiving aim windows. • New: stroke strength. When a route needs a lighter or harder stroke, you'll see a Soft or Firm tag. • The system picker is now a sheet — smaller, scrollable, and you can pull it down to close. • Fixed: on a fresh install the screen could stop responding until you reopened the app. • Routes opens faster. ### 1.3.2 — 2026-08-14 • Your privacy, your choice: anonymous usage analytics are now collected only if you say yes. You can change your mind anytime in Profile. • Pro and trial status is now recognized more reliably — fixed rare cases where Pro features could briefly appear locked. • The purchase screen now always shows live store prices and recovers gracefully when you're offline. • Fixed the "Rate Bricole" button. • Plus many small stability improvements. ### 1.3.1 — 2026-08-11 Smarter shot suggestions. • When the solution on screen uses more rails than it needs to, Bricole now points out an easier route — even when that route belongs to a different system family. • Shot ranking has been rebuilt. Solutions are now scored by how forgiving they actually are to play, not just whether they're geometrically valid. • Updated privacy information and various improvements under the hood. ### 1.3 — 2026-08-01 New: Free Aim mode — try any aim and see exactly where the balls go, no target required. Every shot now shows its aim tolerance, so you know how forgiving it is. Systems show both the classic formula and what your calibrated table's physics says to actually play. Clearer explanations when a system can't score from your position. Fixed: share/export button could get stuck. Fixed: password reset and shared-position links now open correctly. Fixed: subscription status could occasionally show on the wrong account.
