### 5/5 — Easy access to stories

*2023-11-20, version 2.0*

I downloaded today and find no issues. Stories and reports are well-organized by topic. The search bar had a bit of a lapse but not too bad.

### 5/5 — Great News Source

*2023-11-20, version 2.0*

The Bridge Michigan app is my go-to source for a comprehensive overview of Michigan news.
Love the easy to use app.

### 5/5 — Promising start

*2021-05-24, version 1.0*

I’ve been waiting for Bridge to offer an app. It’s clearly in just the beginning stages of development, but the shell is operating and it looks like a good design. I’m eager to see the full product.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — One star

*2024-08-22, version 2.3.1*

I do not like the fact that your so liberal. I thought you would be more conservative.

### 1/5 — Offers no value

*2021-06-16, version 1.0*

This is just a wrapper for their web content.

No ability to enter subscriber info, so you’re looking at a huge amount of screen real estate taken up by asks for money… same as the website.

I’m quite happy to pay for their great coverage, but the site and app may drive me away.

:-(

### 1/5 — Doesn't work at all

*2021-05-10, version 1.0*

I've downloaded this app because I use Bridge news for Michigan coverage. After downloading, there is zero information that is populated. Meaning, it shows the COVID scrolling header but no news shows up. I can pull up the menu, but again nothing shows up when I change sections. Disappointed.

### 4/5 — Good reading app missing a key feature

*2023-11-21, version 2.0*

This is a good app for reading Bridge Michigan articles. The UX closely mirrors the website on both iOS and ipadOS, so the main difference is the lack of browser tabs and other browser related “noise”. Currently the app UX does not include sponsor blocks, though I suspect that will change. You can also save articles - though not sync them between devices.

The app lacks the ability to listen to audio versions of the articles and for me that demotes it from a 5 to a 4. Hopefully this feature is added in the future.

I would also recommend that the app developer double down on emphasizing a clean reading experience - currently you get bullet pointed “recommended articles” halfway through each article, these should be eliminated or kept only at the bottom of the article.

### 5/5 — Great news in an ad free app

*2026-05-18, version 2.3.4*

I used to read some newsletters online and got so sick of the obvious political bias and ads. This news source is very non partisan, factual and actually does some great reporting on a variety of issues. I’ve learned so much about my new home state, and am a much more informed citizen thanks to this app.

### 5/5 — Refreshing

*2025-11-21, version 2.3.3*

Bridge Michigan is about the people. The people who work at Bridge, the people who are in the articles and the people who read the reporting. The reporting is refreshingly nonpartisan and keeps me interested in read an entire article. Thank you Bridge.

### 5/5 — Reliable Michigan info

*2025-11-15, version 2.3.3*

Local issues seem absent from national news. Bravo Bridge for investigating things closer to home.

### 5/5 — LOVE THE BRIDGE!

*2025-11-13, version 2.3.3*

The Bridge is an excellent source for all things “Michigan”. It provides all types of “Michigan trivia”.
The Bridge is honest reporting. Always providing us readers with the facts, no conspiracy theories or just plain “made up stories”.

### 5/5 — Great Way To Stay On Top Of The News

*2024-08-09, version 2.3.1*
