### 2/5 — Love app. Hate the customer service

*2020-10-24*

The app is wonderful. But I have had trouble with getting anyone to help me through customer service when I ran into trouble renewing my subscription. No matter what I did the app won’t fix on its own. And I have emailed them probably ten times in the last month and gotten no response.

### 2/5 — Alerts don’t consistently work

*2019-01-25, version 3.5.8*

Having used the free NHS couch to 5k this feels like the poor relation. Alerts don’t consistently work meaning I regularly run through the walk sections. Afraid to say I’ll be looking for an alternative.

### 2/5 — Sort of annoying

*2018-06-14*

I like the actual exercise plan but the app is kind of dull and it annoys the heck out of me that it wants location always on for the app.

### 4/5 — Bridge to 8k

*2018-04-02*

Well I did it. I finished the couch to 5k and today was my last day of bridge to 10k. I ran...5.24 miles. It’s a great app for getting me to run longer, but I’m still almost a mile off my goal. I, and I believe most beginners, can’t run a 9:39 mile. I wish the app had some extra workout weeks for the slow runners out there or suggestions on how to run that pace.

### 2/5 — What happened?!

*2016-01-28*

I was so sad when I started using this app again because I used to LOVE it. With this version, the GPS is ALL over the place! Walking down a side walk for 15 seconds and it says I went backwards then crossed the street twice. With the GPS so unreliable, the only accurate journal stat is the time. So disappointing. Also, the voice notifications are very hit or miss. Sometimes they tell you to walk, sometimes they don't. I have to keep my phone out to watch the screen which I really don't love. Minutes pass much slower when you have to watch them go by...

### 4/5 — Pretty Good

*2014-06-30, version 3.4*

I have enjoyed this as a follow up to Ease into 5K, but the calorie burn calculator seems off. It gives similar numbers for runs of very different lengths. Maybe that needs retooled? Otherwise this app has been useful to get me past a plateau.

### 2/5 — Not customizable

*2013-10-26, version 3.3.8*

Doesn't offer much more than a running plan. No options to customize your schedule based on your current abilities or training goals

### 4/5 — Great continuation from "Ease Into 5K"

*2013-09-16*

After completing the awesome Ease Into 5K app, I decided to attempt the Bridge to 10K plan. It is similar in format to the 5K app with a 5 minute warm up/ cool down. It has much longer runs (50-70 minutes) and brief (1 minute) walk breaks. It provides all the coaching and goal setting so I can focus on the run. Watching mile miles add up is very encouraging. My only complaint: you cannot separate the 5 minute warm up walk and cool down walk time from your run time, so you never get a true mile-per-minute pace. Fix that issue and it would be a 5 star app.

### 4/5 — Decent, but...

*2013-07-06, version 3.3.4*

Runs don't always log on the timeline, and there is no option to do it manually. Otherwise, it's great.

### 4/5 — Nouvelle version

*2013-07-04, version 3.3.4*

Écran plus facile à voir! Bravo!!!
!

### 4/5 — So far so good!

*2013-06-28, version 3.3.4*

Today I'll run day two. It's a great app but I cannot hear the voice feedback about when it's time to walk or run. I can hear the bell but that it... The actual voice isn't loud enough! Fix that up for 5 stars!!

### 5/5 — Works as promised.

*2013-06-02, version 3.3.3*

Not having regularly jogged since 1977, I found myself running 10k more than a few times, and that was in 2011. I'll continue using this app until I can't walk anymore.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2013-05-14, version 3.3.3*

In-between this app and Ease into 5k, I'm on my way to becoming a runner. I high recommend both for anyone who wants to get into running. You run when it says run, walk when it says walk, doesn't get any easier than that. I would love to hug whomever came up with these apps, or is it whoever...anyway, love them both.

### 5/5 — Great Motivator

*2013-04-29, version 3.3.3*

After finishing Ease into 5K I decided to try Bridge to 10K. I'm very happy with the progress. The developers have done a great job of continuing progress in a way that leads to success.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2013-04-28, version 3.3.3*

Great app! Doesn't skip a beat for those who've finished Ease Into 5K!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Do not pay for this app.

*2015-08-28*

This app is extremely quirky and does not work well. If you want audio updates during your workout, this will not give them to you. I tried several variations of settings and the only updates I could get was every 10 minutes and that was only if you leave the app unlocked and in the foreground the entire time. Allowing the app to "auto lock" shuts off the audio updates even if it stays in the foreground. If you switch away from the screen at all, you will not get updates. Also the calculations are incorrect. It said my fastest mile was slower than my average which is mathematically impossible. I worked with tech support for about a week to make it work to no avail.

### 1/5 — Great App let down by major flaw.

*2015-04-08, version 3.5.7*

After having completed the 'Ease into 5K' app by the same developer I was keen to tackle this app and get to 10K! The app itself has a great UI and the progression though the weeks is perfect for building up to 10K without injury or facing failure- the incremental increase in workout is achievable and systematic. The MAJOR problem with this app is that the voice commands don't come in over other programs you may be using. For example if you listen to podcasts with this app running 99% of the time the commands don't announce. It can be very frustrating to pull out your phone when you think you have reached your next stage only to see you are minutes away or have over shot it. Running for 50 minutes plus worrying if the commands will work is frustrating and defeats the purpose of the whole app. I have emailed the developed with my concerns and have had no reply at all. If you enjoy listening to podcasts or iTunes while running don't chose this app it will drive you crazy. I have since gone with another product.

### 1/5 — New update crashes

*2014-09-25, version 3.5.5*

I love this app...but not if it won't open. Fix the update, please.

### 1/5 — Just use Couch to 5K

*2014-05-31, version 3.4*

I got this app bc I finished the Bluefin C25K and wanted to do more but that one already has up to 60 min runs...the most this one goes to. If you have the first one, this is a waste. I want my money back!!

### 1/5 — pretty much useless

*2014-05-19, version 3.4*

i started using the bluefin apps a long time ago and the quality has been steadily declining. this app is probably the most useless running trainer ever.

example workout "run for 10 minutes. walk for 1. do this four times" thanks. that's helpful. just a waste.

### 1/5 — Dumbest app ever

*2012-12-10, version 3.3.2*

I can't believe I paid for this POS. just run an extra minute or two every week. That's it. Nothing else. Runkeeper is a thousand times better, with real training plans and its FREE.

### 1/5 — Doesn't load

*2012-10-24, version 3.3.1*

This was my go-to app for months. Now it doesn't load on my 4G. Lame.

### 1/5 — Not working!

*2012-10-16, version 3.3*

Why isn't it working since my last update!

### 1/5 — won't load

*2012-10-15, version 3.3*

can't get the app to run on my 3gs ever since the update. this was one of my staple apps before! pls fix!

### 1/5 — Don't do the update!!

*2012-10-15, version 3.3*

Loved this app for my iPhone 4, until the update...now I can't even open the program!! A little help here would be great! Don't make me lose 6 months of running data!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great !!!

*2013-09-12, version 3.3.6*

The best way to get on track.

### 5/5 — Great for beginners!

*2013-08-31, version 3.3.5*

I already completed the 5K app, and am using this to build up to the 10K. I love the interface, easy to use, watch my pace, and listen to my music. I really like the journal and graphing aspects of these apps to visualize my progress. Great app, fair price.

### 5/5 — M. Tastet

*2013-08-27, version 3.3.4*

Amazing. Love it

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2013-08-05, version 3.3.4*

Get it

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-07-23, version 3.3.4*

This app is laid out very well. I really like the custom run based on mileage feature. That with the half way notification is worth the price right there. It is nice not having to plan the run from start to finish. Now, I can just explore new areas - wait for that half way notification, turn around and come back a different way. Love it.

Here are a few recommendations to make it even better:

-Have the ability to hear average pace from run only portion not run & walk average

-Show separate mileage of run and walk in summary

### 5/5 — Love it

*2013-07-21, version 3.3.4*

Excellent running app!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-06-17, version 3.3.3*

this is the perfect follow up to continue training after finishing the ease into 5K app!! Love it.
